On the 27th of November, I hired AZ Ice Man to make an ice luge for any 10th annual holiday party on 12/15. William the owner, sent over the contract after texting many times but not sending it. Signed the contract and gave my cc the same day. On the day of the party he never showed up, called or emailed. Completely unprofessional! We went without because he couldn't stand on his word and a signed contract. Beware do not let him disappoint you. Horrible customer service. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in the company. We have used you guys for two years now and have never had an issue. We had a very large order of ice to make snow for our neighborhood children. Deliver was supposed to be at 11 am on December 17th. I tried calling the company many times to see what was going on today and heard nothing back. They don't respond to the ones that go through. You can't leave voice mail, they don't call back when you do get a live body to speak to. Placed an order for ice delivery. Called multiple times to confirm delivery time and had to correct the delivery time during each phone call. Day of delivery, the truck driver called asking to drop the ice off 5 hours early. As this delivery was for an outdoor event without refrigeration I refused the schedule change. Was told ice wouldn't be able to get delivered at all. We cancelled the delivery and ended up purchasing ice at a local gas station for half the price. Go figure. read more

Last time showed up 2.5 hours late and within minutes of our event happening--had already sent everyone I knew out to grab ice! This past weekend they were a no call/no show! Again within 30 minutes out I had to send friends out to grab over 600 pounds of ice! There is no way of contacting them after 5 PM on Friday and before 9 AM Monday morning nor do they call with any updates or a delivery schedule. When you try to rent a snow slide, the company has to come to your location and make sure the slide can be in that spot. I started calling them in August for a January party. Everytime I called I got the same person (Joshua) who said they will come to see the location and get back to me. I called over a course of 2 months, 8 times and each time he was sincerely apologetic and promised me someone would come. I actually got a female one time and I thought maybe someone else would get it done and nope no one has come. To rent a snow slide is $1000 plus. It is not cheap so to be treated this way is unacceptable! It's now mid October and I finally came to my senses and called their competitor and got the confirmation that my location was good, I even got a better price. I am sure this company did not mean to let the ball drop but who runs a business like this? They may not even of showed up to the party had I gone with them. read more

I attended an event at the Starr Pass Marriott in Tucson where Arizona Ice Man provided snow for a holiday event. They did a great job and were very professional. I was amazed at how much snow it takes to properly cover an area but they did an excellent job and the kids all loved it. Gene the owner was awesome! read more

I ordered 400 lbs of ice on 5/17 to be delivered at 2:00 pm on 5/22. Delivery time was critical because I had to ice down drinks for 60 people for a party starting at 6:00. I called 4 times starting at 2:45. At 4:15 I gave up and went to the local convenience store and bought the ice. At 5:00 someone called me about the delivery. I told them it was too late and to cancel the order. To their credit they haven't billed me yet, but the grief that I had to go through to take the time to get the ice myself is such that you SHOULD NEVER RELY ON AZ ICEMAN. read more

They contacted us 48 hours before our event to tell us that they were going to deliver our order of 12 tons of snow 24+ hours earlier than our contracted delivery time for our event. We want 12 tons of snow, not 10 tons of slush. Avoid these guys they're unreliable. read more

Very disappointed with the lack of reliability--they were 1 hour late. I had booked them 2 months in advance, seeing positive reviews online . I confirmed the week prior and had promoted the event. On the day of the event, an employee called, asking if it could be moved to earlier. I explained that we had already sent a press release and needed the event to be at the agreed upon time. He said "Okay" and when I called later to confirm, the receptionist confirmed the original time. When he was late for the event, I began calling and was told he was 30 minutes late. He ended up being 1 hour late. This was frustrating for those waiting for the snow, as well as the media. It was personally embarrassing for me as the event planner. When he arrived, he explained that he had been double-booked. I wish he had explained that before, so we could have at least partially adapted. Very frustrating and the participants were disappointed. I will never be using them again and I would not recommend their service. read more

My family held a going away party for my daughter who was moving out of state to Hawaii. We ordered an ice luge for the event. The owner suggested a palm tree in keeping with the Hawaiian theme. It was delivered and set up in a very timely manner. The guys were very friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the luge so much - it was the hit of the party. They were an hour late arriving to spray snow at our school festival. They were supposed to be gone by the time the festival started, and they had barely started when the festival gates opened. Their ice truck driver tried to drive onto our field without permission, and got his truck stuck on the curb, even though it was obvious there was not enough clearance for him to even try going over it. The snow was sprayed unevenly, and a fourth of the area was unusable, as there was not enough sprayed to play with, and it became slush. We did not receive $1000+ worth of snow or service. We will never use this company again. The biggest attraction at our festival was the biggest disappointment. #neveragain read more

We had a delivery scheduled for a pool party of 55 guests at 3:00 p.m. on a June day that reached 116. We needed to fill many coolers and have a good supply of ice for the entire evening for drinks and food. After my numerous phone calls, ice was finally delivered at 6:00. Receptionist said they were "a little behind that day". By 4:00, many of my guests had volunteered to go buy ice! How embarrassing! I paid the driver because I knew he could not fix the situation. However, the next week I called the company to ask about a refund (we never used the ice that was delivered). The best they could offer was $35 for a $55 delivery. I have used AZ Iceman for 2 years to do a snow party. The first year they were reliable, on time & I got a slide & enough snow. The second year, I had booked the service a few months earlier & ordered a slide & 12 tons on snow. One the morning of the snow party 1 truck showed up with 8 tons of ice to make snow, no slide and no phone call to let me know the slide was not coming. We ended up ordering another 12 tons of snow to make a slide, I was offered a discount on 8 tons of snow. I had to repeatedly call them to follow up with them. The slide was in Tucson & was not going to be up in Phoenix until the Monday even though I had ordered it and paid for it. The service on the day of and after the event was below par. I have found a much better company in town to handle this yearly event and will happily give them our money. I have heard AZ Iceman has not shown up to events around town, leaving kids without the snow promised. Not a good experience and I was really disappointed with the lack of service and courtesy. read more
