I own the most reputable roofing company in the state of Arizona for the last decade straight (not for size or profit, but for client satisfaction, quality, warranty, longevity, reputation/rating here on Yelp etc., and I understand how difficult it is to maintain a reputation like the wonderful reputation that Hansen's has here on Yelp. You cannot please all of the people all the time, but we sure do try, and obviously, so does Hansens. It is NOT easy to do!!! Don Hansen clearly really cares about his customers. I'm not even going to say what Don did for me because I don't want other people to expect him to do what he did for me for them as well...I'd just like to say that he went *far above and beyond* for me and he didn't have to do what he did. He's been away for a while so he didn't even recognize that I am a customer that is at his establishment nearly every day and and he had no way of knowing that I spend a few hundred dollars every month at his business...I have been a regular for at least the last couple months of extreme heat because we care for crippled wild birds, and they often die in the extreme heat of Arizona summers in their weakened state, so we count on Don and the unique specialty ice blocks that he offers that no one else offers to help them... but as far as he knows, this was my first time at his business and he treated me like a friend or family member. I'm reading these 1 and 2 star reviews and thinking - they reviewed the wrong store or maybe a jealous competitor? I dunno, but the water is great, they have regular RO, alkaline and de-ionized for your CPAP machine. Prices are very reasonable. They have ice cubes, pucks, possibly solid bricks as well.. Good ice cream selection and really a pretty good store. Carts to roll your jugs out to the car. Their 24/7 dispensers in front always seem to work.. I've never had any customer service issues. What more do you want? read more

First time at Hansen's Water Mart. I brought in my empty water containers, explained I was a first timer and asked for help filling up with super clean Alkaline water. I believe it was Mr. Hansen who showed me exactly what to do and gave me a cart to transport the heavy containers outside the store. Once outside he showed me that I needed to back up my vehicle to put them in, which was very easy, compared to carrying them across the parking lot. As I was leaving, he gave me a free bottle of almost frozen alkaline water for my ride home. Great guy! Great experience! Super affordable! I can only comment on the ice cream and customer service but... This place was AWFUL! Other than it being in a great location there was zero upside! I never thought I could be upset about a place that has ice cream! The lady that helped us (I'm assuming the owner or related to the owner) was so rude to me and my kids. We stopped for a quick ice cream as a reward for my son doing a good job at his doctor appt but it felt more like torture. I know this is a place for water and ice, but the place is so small that I was constantly pulling my kids out of the way. It was a madhouse! They don't do samples (no big deal), but she was so annoyed that we couldn't decide. They won't let you get a cone and put it in the bowl without charging for both. When I got the ice cream it actually tasted a little sour like spoiled milk. We also got a cartoon of ice cream from the freezer and it also tasted a little "off." Luckily we don't live close by because we won't be back. read more

Delicious water, literally. I've tried all types of water and used all types of water filters, this is by far the best tasting water I've tried. It is only $0.30 per gallon, the water is well worth it! I don't know how I will ever return to any other water. Knowing that they filter their water for best quality, makes me good about what I'm putting into my body. Water health is no joke folks. Right side water dispenser outside stops after one second. I thought I needed to press start again. The same thing happened, it worked for one second and stopped. Both times I pressed start, the dispenser charged me - a total of $0.50. It was around 8:00 PM and the store was close. There was no way to get my money back. The owner should check his after hours/outdoor water dispenser for accuracy so customers don't get charged unfairly! read more

Since I wrote my last review, things have improved quite a bit; the previous employees left a lot to be desired, the new people are friendly and helpful. As to the person who didn't like my previous post: I didn't mention that I'm handicapped and walker-dependent on most days. Since they know me very well there, they now go out of their way to help. Yes, I still think it would be nice if they were open earlier and on Sundays, but that's their deal and I just plan accordingly. So, Jenna, I'm not AN OLD BAG or LAZY or any of the other things you so thoughtlessly threw at me...I'm just a senior who thinks back to the old days when the CUSTOMER WAS ALWAYS RIGHT! This location was closed for a few months this summer, but are now back with lower prices, friendly service.... and excellent ice cream! Don't ever again refill your water jugs outside of Fry's at night, while fighting with a machine that won't take bills. Water Mart is the way to go! read more

This store goes above and beyond! My refrigerator stopped cooling, it was going to be several days before a repairman could fix it. We needed dry ice to save the food in freezer and refrigerator. Water Mart didn't sell dry ice, but they gave me recommendations for trying to locate some, and later texted me to offer the loan of large coolers if I wanted to use block ice to save the contents of my refrigerator/freezer. What great customer service, and I wasn't even a customer yet. He also expressed his sympathy that I was having to deal with this issue over the weekend...after the frustration I experienced the previous two days, I needed to hear that. I highly recommend this store and will definitely use them again. read more
