First time having pho in AZ. I went because it was closest to where I was at, and I wanted something filling. Service was great. Ryan sat me down immediately and took my order. I was feeling a banh mi, but he convinced me to get the pho. I ordered brisket and meatball. He said they didn't have one like that on the menu, but he could add it to the brisket pho. Okay cool. It took just a few minutes before someone else came and brought me the pho. It hit the spot for sure, but I was a little underwhelmed with the broth. It wasn't bad at all, but I feel like it needed more spices or like it needed to simmer longer. Overall it was good. I dropped a star because it was kind of pricey imo. It came out to about $21.75 after tax. Maybe I'm still used to the prices I knew in the Temecula area, but yeah, I was a bit shocked. Other than that, this is a clean place to ha e some good authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I wish they offered the little Vietnamese pancakes but I didn't see them on the menu. I'll need to make a return visit to try their spring rolls ans banh mi!

As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to love it! It smelled like fresh pho that had been cooking all day! The service was fast! They kept our drinks filled. We love the convenience of this location. The restaurant was a chill vibe and had soft music playing in the background it was nice. We ordered Grilled Chicken Bahn Mí sandwiches! Flavorful sauce and grilled to perfection. The fried rice was fire, BUT they do not have house fried rice. Couldn't even charge us for the extra meat to make it House. A lil odd. The pho was delish! I'm so happy to have found a nearby Vietnamese place. You can also tell it is ran by a family. We will be returning.

Wow. Thought I had enjoyed the best bowls of pho in Phoenix. Tonight I chowed down on an amazing bowl of pho. Pho dac biet, traditional style with all the goodies. Highly recommend this pho spot for anyone who values an amazing and delightful bowl of pho. The reviews do not do justice to the quality and flavors that this pho offers. One of the best bowls of pho I have enjoyed in my lifetime. Big thanks to the cook who put my meal together tonight. Thank you. Jordan

Crab Paste Noodle Soup (Bún Riêu Cua): Thin rice noodles, minced shrimp, egg, tofu, crab paste, tomato in chicken broth.

Writing this great place's 100th review! Pho-nomenal! This place is pho real! I was suggested by another Yelper, Jay T., to try something new so voila! Crab paste noodle soup (N5. Thin rice noodles, minced shrimp, egg, tofu, crab paste, tomato in chicken broth - Bún Riêu Cua - $15.45) was ordered along with the usual egg rolls and spring rolls to share. I'm glad I was wearing sandals that day because my socks would have been blown off. If you love tomatoes and aren't afraid of seafood, you'll love it! As for the egg rolls and spring rolls, they were decent. Despite this being in a slower moving plaza, AZ Pho & Grill had steady and consistent flow of customers. You can tell how well-loved this place is.

V3 - Verm with Pork and Egg Roll

Hoped to avoid Bay Area prices but, ALAS, they have followed us. Got a P5 - Steak and Flank Pho ($14.75) and a V3 - Verm with Pork and Egg Roll ($15.75). Pho was a solid 4/5. Broth was flavorful and meat was cut thin and tender enough. I wouldn't have minded a bit more noodles and mint, but overall it was a good bowl of soup that I'd get again. Vermicelli was just okay. Pork was thin and lacked seasoning and the bowl only came with one egg roll despite the "eggrollS" deacription. Probably wouldn't get this again, but it would probably satisfy a craving in a pinch.

The Beef Pho broth was perfectly seasoned and the meats were tasty. Brisket was a bit dry for my liking and the temp of the broth could have been hotter. Overall a decent bowl of pho when I am missing home. Service was excellent and a chill playlist of songs.

Amazing pho with homemade broth and 2 types of noodles…read more We came on a Sunday morning. At this restaurant, you order before you sit down. Pho with rare steak: (5/5) Comes with the option of thick or thin noodles. We tried both of them, and I prefer the thick noodles. Came with noodles, homemade broth (most pho restaurants use a standard MSG broth, but not this one), rare steak, onions, mint leaves, bean sprouts, a lemon wedge, and jalapeños. The beef was very tender and flavorful, it was not chewy or dry at all. The broth tasted much better than other broths, but I'm not too sure what is in it. All other ingredients were fresh. Service: (3/5) You order before you sit yourself at a table. You get your own water. They do bring the food to your table though. Ambiance: (2.5/5) The restaurant is a little bit cramped and the tables are mismatched. It can also get very busy but they also have outside seating. Overall I would recommend the pho here just remember that it's mostly self serve and the broth is very good.

But the operation leaves a lot to be desired…read more A few things stood out: - It's counter service: you order first, then sit and wait for them to bring it out - Everything is self-service; get your own water at the counter - Fully disposable setup, including paper plates for rice. Feels built for takeout, not dining in - Despite all the self-service, they still ask for a tip at the register; which felt off - Staff seemed disinterested; ask a question and you're treated like an inconvenience - Casual, no-frills vibe. Got a medium or large party? You're rearranging tables yourself or splitting up Bottom line: decent food, but the service model and the tip ask don't add up. Probably won't be recommending this one.

I would definitely go here if you're looking for something new or seeking a rarer dish. They also have VERY generous portion sizing, so it's pretty good value. If you wanted something familiar like pho or rice dishes, I personally feel that other places do them better. I have a family member who went separately who said the banh khot (a rarer dish in the US) they ordered was better than the regular Vietnamese offerings. When my partner I went, service was a little slow and distracted. They currently have the World Cup games playing on the TV for both customers and themselves. I don't mind the fanfare around the excitement for the games, but the waiter did get our food order wrong due to the distraction :( The bussed tables were pretty clean, but a lot of tables were left unbussed for a very long time due to the game too. My partner and I went with the meatball and brisket pho and bun thit nuong (except this one came out wrong and was just bun cha gio). Cyclo's pho style is on the sweeter side. I was a little shocked at how sweet it was. The bowl size is huge and comes with plenty of noodles. They don't skimp. My partner's bun cha gio was okay. Cyclo is a little more special in that they put taro in their cha gio (egg rolls). We personally weren't fans of this, but it is unique. The taro gives the filling a slimier texture. Overall, my partner and I wouldn't return again for the food unless we wanted something more new, but we do love how good value Cyclo is.

In fact, I'm pleasantly surprised by their growing menu and their willingness to better themselves by listening to Yelp feedback. You can really feel the spirit of home-cooking and the cozy atmosphere of a locally owned restaurant here. In the best way possible, service hasn't changed - it's still the same friendly owner greeting you with a smile and overall cheerful attitude. You can tell that they are actively growing as a restaurant and I can't help but want to cheer them on! Today, I had their banh mi pho with a side of Chinese donuts to dip into the pho broth. Absolutely delicious and great concept. My constructive feedback is if they can dial in their pho broth (which I already enjoy) to have more in-depth bone broth/spice flavor and less reliance on maybe the salty aspect.
