    Grilled Pork Spring Roll
    Hayden J.

Been going here since 2019 and I was instantly hooked. It's a small, but cozy restaurant located in Mekong Plaza with the nicest staff. I haven't found a better bun thịt nuong anywhere else.

Great, convenient Vietnamese spot inside Mekong Plaza! Parking is always easy. I had the chicken rice (you can also swap the rice for noodles) and loved the super fresh basket of greens and veggies paired with a light, tangy sauce. My friends all loved their meals too. The only downside for me was the soup, which was watery, since the only option is pork, and tasted a bit undercooked to me. However, the main dishes are delicious, and it's a very convenient stop!

The food portion here was HUGE, especially the broken rice plate, it came with seven items, and I thought it could feed 4 people. The vermicelli bowl was my go-to dish when I try new Vietnamese food, and they did well on this dish. I thought overall they were good but a bit too heavy for me.

If you are craving authentic vietnamese broken rice plates this is the place to go!! I love this place! The food is always good, this place never disappoints. You have to get their eggrolls! Their eggrolls are made with rice paper! DELICIOUS!!

I saw raving reviews for this spot and this spot did not disappoint! I'm a huge fan of dry noodles and was so excited to order the Hu Tieu Mi Nam Vang. The flavors of the ground pork paired so well with both noodles. The noodles were perfect, it's bouncy and they didn't stick to each other. They are known for their broken rice and we got the Com Tam Thuan Kieu 10 Mon! The shrimp paste was my favorite. Definitely a good local gem you gotta stop by! Staff was super friendly. Interior was small and cozy. Located in a plaza with ample parking.

#3 Nem Nuong fresh spring rolls

A casually convenient restaurant located in the Mekong Plaza, serving hearty, delicious food since the early 2000's. This is one of those places that I frequent for very specific items whenever I have a craving. These specific items being the #3 Nem Nuong fresh spring rolls and the #22 broken rice plate with seven items. The spring rolls are always so tasty, crunchy and refreshing. The broken rice dish is a hit or a miss depending on the visit. Sometimes the flavor can be spot on, other times the pork chop ends up being a bit bland. What I really appreciate about this place is how extensive their menu is, there's lots of options for everyone's varying taste buds. Portion sizes are generous here, so you're guaranteed to leave feeling full every time! Service is always fast and upbeat. This is a great spot if you're in the mood for comfort food or in the area but on a time constraint and are looking to grab a quick bite to eat.

Been coming here for years. They've been consistent in serving very good broken rice (com tam). I usually order their specialty com tam plate with 10 items and their grilled pork rolls (nem nuong). Plenty of tables usually available and the ambiance is typical of a Vietnamese restaurant. Ordering to go is my norm lately. Never a long wait for orders and I'm quick to devour everything because of how good the food is. Grilled pork rolls are nicely accompanied by their dipping sauce. Reminds me of a place in SoCal lol.

Grilled pork chop on steamed broken rice with Julienne sliced pork and pork skin

First time here. This restaurant was located at the entrance to Mekong plaza. It is nice and clean. Server greeted us right away. Brought us a small pitcher of icy cold water. He gave use a few minutes to look at the menu. I wanted to try one of the broken rice dishes. He recommended the marinated grilled pork chop draped over the steamed broken rice with a side of julienned sliced steam pork mixed with thinly sliced pork skin and dusted with rice powder served cold. The pork skin was vey rubbery l kept chewing and chewing and would not break down. The meat was okay. The entree also came with pickled cabbage and cucumber. This complemented the pork chop. It came with a small serving of soup with a big chunk of beef. It had a good umami flavor. The grilled pork chop, sliced thin with bone in was covered in a sauce that was not overly sweet. The rice perfectly steamed. I would come again if I'm in the area. Maybe next time i will try the Banh Xeo.

Service and broken rice dish did not disappoint. Nothing specific to point out other than everything tasted fresh and delicious with very generous portions. Not pictured here but the regular pork and shrimp spring rolls were also very good.

It is not the first time I have come here; the food is delicious, and the service is speedy. I used to try the Broken Rice with Pork Chop and Egg Meatloaf, Fine-Woven Vermicelli with Grilled Pork Sausage, and the Dry Egg Noodles. Strongly recommend.

This place is located in the Asian District, right by the entrance of the Mekong Supermarket, on the right hand side as you enter. It also has its own entrance, just right at the front. The place is casual, a little grungy, maybe it's the dark decor and furniture.... The tables are all set with silverware, napkins, straws, condiments, so that part is convenient. We came on a Thursday around lunch time, so it didn't take long for us to get seated. There were about 4 other tables occupied besides us. They have cold water carafe with lemon and that was nice. We looked over the menu and ordered shortly after being seated. Our entrees came rather quickly. We ordered: (1) #28 with grilled pork chops and (2) another com tam with beef (can't recall the item number on the menu). Both entrees came with a small bowl of soup with pork (complimentary) and it was cooked to perfection cuz the meat was so tender the broth was just so comforting! This is one of the biggest star items for us! The broken rice is ok, not the best but also better than some I have had. As for the main/selected proteins: The grilled pork is quite thin but tasty. Has grill the criss-cross grill marks, so it looks nice. The beef was a little sweet but still tasty. The stars, to me, were all supporting items that came with the rice plates which makes the meal enjoyable: 1. the pork soup I mentioned: EXCELLENT! 2. the pickled cabbage (tartness and sweetness were perfect!) 3. the bi - nice and dry as they should be 4. Tom cha was more eggy but still tasty 5. the Tau Hau Ky was surprising DELICIOUS! One of the best I have had! The sauce (nuoc mam) is on a sweet side but I think most restaurants make them just as sweet. Overall, I would come back here again for the complimentary pork soup and the Tau Hau Ky! Those 2 items are worth the trip for sure!

    #28 with grilled pork
    Gina L.

Came for an early dinner on a Friday. Got the #28 with a grilled pork chop. This came with pork soup, clear and clean broth. The pork chop was on the thinner side, but tasty. It was the first time I had a steamed pork egg cake, which was nice when crumbled and mixed into the rice. My friends enjoyed their meals (two got vermicelli noodles bowls, and another also got a broken rice dish). Ate one of my friend's spring roll, which was delectably crispy. Filling and light. Overall, nice spot to get some rice or noodle dishes in the Mekong Plaza! Straightforward but nice service. Would recommend some fried spring rolls to go along with whatever you order.

There's no pho or beef noodle soup here--only pork or seafood noodle soups. The vegetarian options are pretty basic, nothing too exciting. I guess I should have done more research, as I just assumed most Vietnamese restaurants would have pho.

Our pork vermicelli bowl was okay, the fish sauce was plain and a little too salty, and was missing the minced garlic. But the meat was well seasoned and the portion was great.
