I ordered from this place pretty much almost every other day and loved the food here. They actually had one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches. But you want to know what ruined my experience here and why I will never order from here again? Greed and dishonesty. I placed an order with them and someone from the store called me and told me what I ordered was not in stock. So, I told them to cancel it please and they said ok and we disconnected off the phone. All of a sudden, I hear my door ringing and it's someone with the delivery from the restaurant with the incorrect order as the store just told me they didn't have those items at all. So, now the store has not only wasted my time, but the dasher who delivered the ordered had their time wasted and lost out of the money for the entire order all because this place did not want to cancel the order as they were supposed to. It's not my fault nor the dasher's fault that you cannot manage your business properly and remove items that are out-of-stock. And I don't appreciate that you try to scam me and you caused someone else to lose out of money and waste their time. So, with that, based on the character of the people that work at this place, I will never spend another dime here supporting people who do shady business. read more

Ordered from here one random afternoon. I was in the mood for a matcha and then needed something for lunch later. I like my matcha light and on the sweeter side, they nailed it! This place is a cute cafe in the east Harlem area. I came here looking for a breakfast burrito and saw that they had a reasonably priced breakfast burrito for about $11. Adding chorizo made it $14 but it was well worth it. They have cheap drip coffee, plenty of different lattes and foods that look and sound great. The breakfast burrito was better than some expensive ones I've tried in lower manhattan. It's a healthy size and great for the price. Service was great and the atmosphere is good. Azalea Caffe is definitely Five Stars. It's clean and spacious. The employees are very nice and efficient. The prices are reasonable and the menu is extensive. They fix whatever you like whenever you want. No specific time for lunch menu. I wanted a early morning sandwich. It wasn't on the menu. I just told him what I want and his kitchen employee made it perfect. I was given the choice of white or whole wheat sliced bread. I asked for a Grilled American Cheese with Bacon on Whole Wheat. It was only $4.63! It was so delicious. Had I asked for white bread they use Bread Alone Peasant Bread. I'm sure I'll be back for that. As many times as I have walked by going to Costco I'm very happy I made a separate trip today. My daughter kept saying we would return to eat. I can't wait for her to come along! I started going to this place mainly for the horchata latte and sometimes I get just the horchata, my husband pick us up a drink but today the most disgusting thing happened. As a restaurant working behind the counter and dealing with food OR drinks, you're supposed to have a hair net, my husband purchased two horchata drinks and once I finished mines I noticed the longest black hair inside my cup and the fact I drank it without knowing makes me want to throw up. I called them because I was already far away (NJ) and the person who picked up didn't bother apologizing or at least offer a refund for the free hair in my drink. Instead he proceeds to say it's not his hair because he's bald like ?? this place with my bf while we were taking a morning walk around the neighborhood. Got a breakfast burrito, Azalea sandwich, cappuccino, and smoothie and paid via Apple Pay as soon as we ordered. The food was alright. Simple but alright. When we were done, we cleared our things, said "have a great day" and headed towards the door. That's when another employee gave us a suspicious look and asked us loudly if we paid or not. We looked at the other employee who rung up our order, we could not believe he didn't step in and explain that we had already paid. After I clarified, I expected an apology but instead they said, "did you pay for those waters too??" (They were referring to 2 half empty water bottles, purchased elsewhere, that I had taken out of my bag.) Again we clarified, again they did not apologize. As two young black adults, we did feel racially profiled at this establishment. We were just trying to support a local business. So disappointed. read more
