Something about the sign aesthetic made me think it would be a good place. I Yelp-Searched it, and Lima 32 damn near had a perfect rating based on less than 50 reviews. I'm a Food Blogger. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

Strips of beef sirloin, red peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with French fries and white rice. My Tacu Tacu Steak with rice and beans was a hit, and miss. The steak was tough and the rice and beans, really "starchy". It's hard to explain they tasted heavy and sticky. The portions are generous so I had leftovers for home. Surprisingly, the dish tasted better the next day. The menu highlights their Happy Hour and Wine Down Wednesdays. We're looking forward to returning for one or both :) of those! The portion size was impressive, I have a big take home container to eat for dinner tonight. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sweet onions were awesome to pair with bites of steak and fries. The stir fried portion was seasoned to absolute perfection and the rice soaked up the juices from the stir fry which made it so good. The service here is lovely, the owner consistently shows his face and checks in on customers. A lovely spot well worth a visit.

My family ordered seafood, while I went with the Peruvian Chicken Wings topped with Peruvian Barbecue sauce, Ceviche Chicken Wings, and Lomo Salado. I was particularly curious about the Ceviche wings because I'd never heard of them before. The ceviche sauce is inspired by Aji Limo Ceviche, a lively Peruvian dish featuring fresh, raw white fish like sea bass or flounder "cooked" in lime juice, seasoned with citrusy, spicy Aji Limo peppers, red onions, and cilantro. It's usually served with sweet potato, corn, and leche de tigre (tiger's milk), offering a tart, spicy, and refreshing flavor. The Ceviche wings were fantastic. They had a bright citrus kick, and I could taste all the distinct flavors, including the spices and chilies. They really hit the spot. The barbecue wings were just as enjoyable, with a sweet yet tangy sauce and perfectly seasoned chicken.
