He spends the time to get to know you and really puts his focus on the patient. His staff shares his philosophy. He fixed a major gum bleeding issue I had using a laser device and since then, I have been walking in the paths of Dental Righteousness. He accepts the TRICARE Retiree Dental Plan, but he is not in their network. Despite prodding from TRICARE, I am more than willing to pay the additional cost of Dr. Schillinger's care because the Dentist-in-a-box places (cough-Heartland Dental-cough) don't offer the same care and concern. Their dentists are not there to stay, unlike Dr. Schillinger.

I wanted to schedule my next appointment in October, and I gave them my insurance's coverage information that clearly states the appointment would be covered. However, based on some "policy" that the front desk came up with, they wanted me to schedule the appointment in November because they were worried insurance wouldn't cover the appointment. 1. I asked to see this policy as written, and the front desk told me no. 2. I asked to speak to an office manager, and the front desk told me no. She asked me if I wanted to speak to the other receptionist. I said yes. After being on hold, she did not transfer me to anyone and told me to go to another dental office. 3. I asked them if they could file the claim for me in October, and if insurance wouldn't cover it, I'd be happy to pay out of pocket. They refused to even try to file the insurance claim, stating their "policy" tells them not to. I understand being worried insurance won't cover the appointment, but I'm angry at the fact they wouldn't even try to file the claim without a good reason, especially when I told them I would assume the risk. I also think the front desk was unprofessional in saying she'll let me speak to another receptionist but then turns around and tells me to go to another dental office. I DO NOT recommend this office, especially to my fellow military spouses. Please go anywhere else.
