As a parent, I cannot stress the importance of finding a great dentist for your little ones. You know most kids have apprehensions about going to ANY doctor, something about those face masks and needles, I guess ;). However, I saw fit to leave a review because my children love this dentist office. The staff is super friendly and they go above and beyond to ensure that children feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire appointment. They even gave my kids gift bags to take home and practice their brushing and flossing. For the first week after my 5-year old's appointment, she told me repeatedly that sugar was bad for her teeth and that she was going to brush her teeth after every meal. You don't understand, it was repeatedly. It was a bit redundant, but I was happy that she learned something new and was happy to share. Now, for adults, you would also appreciate this office because of the professionalism of the staff and cleanliness of the facility. The waiting room has comfy clean couches and a TV to keep you occupied. The staff was very friendly and just as knowledgeable as the dentist. Dr. Thompson is amazing and very straight forward with her guidance on maintaining healthy teeth. She even gave me a pep talk on stopping my 5-year old's finger sucking and I am happy to report that it worked and she no longer sucks her fingers! This review is not for the dentist or her assistants. I saw Dr. Thompson yesterday for an exam, and she was kind and thorough. However, I am frustrated with her front receptionists. I wanted to schedule my next appointment in October, and I gave them my insurance's coverage information that clearly states the appointment would be covered. However, based on some "policy" that the front desk came up with, they wanted me to schedule the appointment in November because they were worried insurance wouldn't cover the appointment. 1. I asked to see this policy as written, and the front desk told me no. 2. I asked to speak to an office manager, and the front desk told me no. She asked me if I wanted to speak to the other receptionist. I said yes. After being on hold, she did not transfer me to anyone and told me to go to another dental office. 3. I asked them if they could file the claim for me in October, and if insurance wouldn't cover it, I'd be happy to pay out of pocket. They refused to even try to file the insurance claim, stating their "policy" tells them not to. I understand being worried insurance won't cover the appointment, but I'm angry at the fact they wouldn't even try to file the claim without a good reason, especially when I told them I would assume the risk. I also think the front desk was unprofessional in saying she'll let me speak to another receptionist but then turns around and tells me to go to another dental office. I DO NOT recommend this office, especially to my fellow military spouses. Please go anywhere else. read more

My family and I had a good experience with Dental services from Dr. Thompson where we were customers for six years. However , the office management and front office staff is unacceptable and beyond poor customer service. I was contacted in February 2026 for a minimal balance owed from 2024. When I requested details of the balance such as an EOB , I was told it was my responsibility to confirm that with my insurance. I did contact my insurance and provided the EOB to the office showing there was no balance due. I was then advised to pay the balance or they would send to collections for the minimal balance due . Of course , after this experience , I had no intention of scheduling any future appointments. Unfortunately, we still had cleaning appointments that were scheduled prior to this incident. Instead of canceling the appointments , we kept our May appointments which were confirmed via the office's automated system and the day before by the front office staff. We show up for the scheduled appointments and were told there's a note in the account of "Do Not See". When I asked to speak to Dr. Thompson was told that she was aware. I would not recommend this office. She needs to hire competent staff. I'm contemplating reporting them to BBB. read more

My boys had been patients at this office for a long time, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I requested direct communication from the dentist, but instead was contacted by front desk staff who informed me my children would not be seen and that I should find another dentist or go to urgent care. I was also told not to call the office regarding the payment issue because the dentist was "too busy." The front desk communication was unprofessional and unclear, with no knowledge of who to contact regarding the balance, no explanation provided, and no willingness to discuss insurance or payment arrangements. By far the best experience I have had at a dentist! Dr. Thompson was so nice! Sequoia, the dental hygienist, was great! She told me what she was about to do before she started everything. I finally found this dentist, Dr. Sarah Thompson from Soft Touch Dentistry in Ofallon, IL to give me the veneers I had been looking for for many years. She came with great reviews so I went in for a consultation and immediately paid a deposit for veneers. I felt very comfortable with her game plan, as well as her and her staff. Man was I wrong! This is all new to me, and obviously I have not had this procedure done before. I did my research so I kind of knew what to expect, however she did some MAJOR things wrong. 1) I went in, wanting 8 top veneers. She wrote my estimate for 12. NOT what I asked for. 2) I was under the impression I was getting veneers. You know, since that was what we actually talked about and all?! No. She ended up grinding all ten 10 down to tiny TINY nubs....for CROWNS!! Now, Im sure, from a dental perspective, there was probably a good reason for this. However, wouldn't it be the right thing to do, to discuss this with your patient BEFORE grinding down her teeth to nothing?! Because at that point there is NO going back! And of course I didn't realize it until my teeth were down to nothing! 3) After having my temps put on, the Dr assured me the final product would give me the biggest "wow factor". I wasn't 100% happy with my temps, but I trusted her, in her saying they wouldn't really look much like your temps anyway, they would look 1000x better. Well....they didn't. 4) The Dr, never showed me my new teeth before she cemented them on. And once again, of course I didn't realize this until they were actually cemented on there! I guess, after all the research I did, I thought it was pretty standard to fit them in place, show the patient, and then if they are happy, they would then be cemented on. So that is exactly what I thought she was doing! But no, they were cemented on at that point!! I really didn't know what to say, and frankly, after spending 4 hours in that chair, with a very pained mouth, I was just ready to go home! 5) At first glance, I really did like them. But after a few days I started realizing some issues. My canines were FAR longer than my temps were. (side note, I DID want my canines a bit longer than the rest of my teeth, however, these are WAY too long, and look like fangs). The canines also are WAY too wide compared to the rest of the crowns. They look completely misplaced and look like they don't even belong in my mouth!! 6) MAJOR spacing issues!!! When I go to floss, some crowns are better than others with flossing, however towards the back, there is HUGE caps, where I feel like i could use a piece of yard to go through them, instead of regular floss. Food keeps getting jammed up there causing my gums to be extremely inflamed and sore. 7) Its been 3 months since I have had this procedure done, and I am still having to take pain meds 3-4 times a day. 8) Teeth are not proportionate with each other. Canines are 10mm wide, others are 6mm wide, and the gum line is still uneven. I went to 2 other dentists to give me a second opinion on her work and neither had anything good to say, and felt horrible that I was put through this, especially without being able to see the teeth in my mouth before being cemented in. It's going to cost me another $10,000 to get them fixed elsewhere, because I sure as heck do not feel comfortable going back to Sarah. Mind you, she came with GREAT reviews, that's why I chose her. I hope you all read this and think otherwise....because now she is lying to the financing company so that she doesn't have to give me a refund. It's one big mess right now. I hate to say anything bad about a business, but man....this has been a mess, and this Dentist was the one who made it this way :( read more

I've been going to Dr. Sarah for close to ten years now. Before her, I would dread going to the dentist but now I look forward to it. Anyone in her office is complimentary and kind. The wonderful woman who cleaned my teeth today had conversation (without her hands in my mouth), found the best flavor of paste and fluoride, and explained WHY it is important to floss. Dr. Sarah finished up my exam and asked about my family, job, and athletics. I give this place 5 stars for the cleanliness first off. Second, I give this place 5 stars for the friendliness of everyone from the doctor herself to the receptionist all the way to the actual patients that were in the waiting room with me. Third, I give the dentist 6 stars for pulling out 2 of my teeth, without hurting me. I plan to come back here for my two veneers in the front. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Thompson for several years and have always been very satisfied. She has crowned two of my teeth and several of my husbands and we have not had any problems. We do not have any dental insurance so we were very pleased when she adjusted her prices for crowns to the same amount she receives from paitents with insurance. Several members of my family, sister, brother-in-law, niece and husband, and my cousin are all patients and have been as satisifed with Dr. Thompson. Our whole family loves this dentist! We have a large family(5 kids) and this office is so accommodating of us. The whole staff and Dr. Thompson are great with our kids. I had to have a root canal and crown replacement and the conscious sedation they offer is so great. It really was a painless experience. I think this place is awesome. I first found Soft Touch Dentistry online 4 years ago and have been going here ever since. To date, I have gotten 2 root canals, 8 porcelain crowns, and 1 veneer. I am very please with my teeth and I am so glad that I found this place. I got I.V. sedation for the 2 root canals, but nothing for the crowns. This was because I became so comfortable with this office, that I finally got the courage to get dental work done without being sedated heavily. I think that the clerk that works at the desk when you walk in, is so nice. She greeted me by name at my first appointment and everybody there is so nice. The doctor herself, blew me away with how well she knew her stuff and how down to Earth she was. Her dentistry skills are superb, but her personality is even better.
