After 34 years of faithful service, our Subzero refrigerator and freezer recently needed to be…read morereplaced. I stopped by Tee Vax to look at the new Subzero models they had available. I was fortunate enough to meet Richard Landen while I was there. Richard was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I told Richard I needed to discuss a few of the model options with my wife, and I'd call him with a decision within a week. I phoned Richard a few days later, and told him which model Subzero we wanted to order. He couldn't have made the whole purchase any easier. Richard emailed me the receipt, and told me the new Subzero would be available for pickup in a few days. Richard was kind enough to inform me that if I selected a certified installer Subzero adds an extra year to the warranty! So I figured I had better do just that, and I went with Top Tier Appliance Installations which is owned by John Yeager. If there was ever an appropriately named business, it's John's business! John and his crew really were top tier! From keeping me apprised of their arrival time to protecting my floors removing the old SubZero, to being diligent as they carefully lugged these 800 pound machines (both the old Subzero and the new Subzero) up and down my stairs without damaging my home! The installation job they did on my new Subzero was spectacular! I would highly recommend John and his team without reservation! I'm a very particular guy, and John and his team are definitely welcome back in my home anytime. Going forward, anytime I need new appliances, I will be calling Richard at Tee Vax to buy them, and John at Top Tier Appliance Installations to install them!

The first washer they installed was defective and it was replaced without question and very quickly. So I appreciated that however, the reason I'm giving them four stars rather than five is the Electrolux washer is just so dang noisy. It clunks and thuds and clunks and thuds. I've lived in the same house for the past 30 years and this is my third set of front load washers and dryers. None of the previous washers made noise like this one does. If you have your laundry hook up in the garage, you probably wouldn't notice it. My laundry room is adjacent to the downstairs family room, so the noise is noticeable. The reason I mentioned that I've had two previous front load washers and dryers is because it never occurred to me to ask if it was noisy because my previous sets were not noisy. Just something to take into consideration if your laundry hook up is inside your house and not out in the garage.

Happy Appliances was assigned a claim through my home warranty company. I was assigned, an appointment window. I contacted the company to detail the issue and give my available times so we could work out a schedule. The business owner called, we chatted, I sent pictures, etc. A day before the appointment, I sent a text to confirm and received no reply. Due to no reply, I booked a meeting. The owner called, we chatted, all good, we'll do it the following week. He was to call with a day/time. He did not call to schedule. I received a call when he was 20 to 30 minutes from my home and couldn't accommodate him. (I was at work and had meetings scheduled) We spoke on the phone again, I detailed the issue, he said he was going to call it in as needing a door replacement. I paid the service fee and trusted him. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I received a call today from my home warranty company that this provider said there was nothing wrong and I just needed to clean the freezer door. The freezer door is oozing something. That isn't me needing to clean it. I clean it over and over and over. But - apparently, it's just dirty and there is nothing wrong and no repairs are needed. He backed up this statement when we spoke again this morning. His reply, as he was almost laughing was "Hey, that's what happened". So now, my home warranty won't cover repairs and I am going to have to pay someone else to do the job he accepted and/or pay 100% out of pocket to replace the appliance. This is why I have this policy. It's an insurance policy for exactly this reason! He falls into the category of providers that will accept home warranty service claims, show up (or not in this case), collect the fee and disappear. Shame on me for not requiring him to show up. Shame on him for taking money and lying about the work. AVOID!
