I was looking for a Native American turquoise bracelet. So I googled places in the area and found Aztec Jewelers. I drove there just thinking I would compare prices. I am always looking for the best deal. So I walked in the store just to browse and walked out with a turquoise silver bracelet and some Amber earrings. I had no intentions of purchasing any items let alone the amount of money I spent, which in all fairness was reasonable, given the quality of the items. Morris tended to me with care and attention. He was patient and very knowledgeable. He was accepting of my tendency to haggle, remaining friendly, and kind. It felt like old times when you could go to a mom and pop jewelry store that's been in the family for years and know that you're getting quality jewelry and that you can return to them if you needed anything. I definitely will return, but first I must replenish my funds, LOL. Morris said they have been in business for over 48 years and I can certainly see why. I brought in some jewelry that needed attention, along with a watch that I needed some links removed. Fantastic experience. Plus, there are so many beautiful pieces for sale in the showcases. I could spend all day there. The customer service was amazing, and as a super nerd I loved all the education that the gemologist provided regarding my pieces, rationale for work, and future value. Came here to see about getting my engagement ring reshaped after it fell on the ground and was stepped on. I had heard many recommendations for Aztec on a local Facebook group and stopped in. The woman I spoke with was very kind and they ended up reshaping it and cleaning it up for me free of charge. The staff was not very helpful when I went to have links taken out of a watch and have a diamond replaced in my ring; I also expressed interest in purchasing a new wedding band for my husband . There was one employee who was very rude to me. She made it seem I was a burden until I got to the gentleman who resized my watch. He was much more friendly than the others who worked there. However, while he was friendly, they were not able to tell me how much any of their men's bands were. They were also insulting of my choice in wedding band. They said they would have to call to get any prices but the workers were hesitant to call for me. They made it seem it was more of a burden to call instead of helping a customer who could have spent a lot of money in their store. I decided to get my watch resized for $10, but I will never be back after that. I could have spend a lot of money in their store, but due to the lack of customer service (except the nice gentleman who adjusted my watch) I will never be back. read more

As mentioned in other reviews, this place is run by the long-time owner. Their specialty is Native American Indian jewelry, which they have plenty of, but they also worked with us to get an engagement ring that was exactly what I wanted. They had a few nice ones right in the shop but I wanted a three stone ring with amethysts in the side and something with a filigreed old look to the metal. They had a whole catalog of designs they could get for us and they created a custom plain wedding band because I wanted one to match my husband's rather than the ring in the catalog that fitted around the engagement ring. This is one of the most unique jewelry stores in Atlanta, and its been around since the 1970's in the same spot. I've had great experiences over the years with minor repairs to chains and changing ring sizes, etc etc. I have also found some unique pieces to buy. They also custom designed a ring for me several years ago using a diamond that I already had. Half the store is chock full of silver, turquoise, etc jewelry, and the other half is more traditional diamonds, gold, etc etc. Its a family run business, and they always remember you when you walk into the store once you've been in a couple of times. That is the kind of service that I appreciate in a city full of corporate giants. read more

My necklace that I never take off needed repair asap - and I didn't want it repaired at a store where they ship their repairs out (I didn't want to risk the necklace being lost). A neighbor told me about Aztec, and I also checked their reviews online. I stopped into Aztec to see if they could repair the necklace quickly - I also had a few other pieces that needed attention. I was also traveling out of the country in 2 days and wanted the necklace back before I left. I was relieved to hear that the necklace could be fixed in time, but my other pieces wouldn't be ready until the following week (not a problem). To my surprise and delight, I received a call the next day from Aztec explaining everything was ready! The entire staff was very pleasant and professional, the repairs that were done were excellent and done onsite.
