Good tasting, but not amazing. Burritos were huge, but mostly rice and beans with not much flavor. I prefer mine very wet and their burritos are not wet (most aren't). No chips included. No salsa is provided for the burritos either. The ordering/paying/sitting procedure was confusing in the market making the overall experience a little frustrating. read more

Azteca is a great place for quck and good food at a decent price. i recomend their spicy pork super burrito and tamales.

So I've expanded my food selection here at Taqueria Azteca and I can easily say that they are the best in the Napa Valley, better than la Luna or anything you find in Napa. We stumbled upon this little gem while wine tasting in Napa and the Russian River Valley. We drove through St Helena to check out the town and have some lunch. We were thrilled to find a local favorite where we could enjoy some delicious authentic Mexican food. The establishment is mainly a Mexican grocery with takeout options, however they do have an outdoor patio with tables, so you can relax and enjoy the food on the premises. Stopped in here on the way back to San Fransisco for a quick lunch. After the woman who took my order told me it would be 30 minutes, my son and I were enjoying our burrito after about 10 minutes. It was absolutely delicious! Definitely skip Gott's Roadside's line and head to this market for a burrito! I LOVE this mercado y taqueria! I went to college in Napa Valley and it was the one place we could get to down the hill that was close and consistently good and decently priced for the quality of food you receive! My family and I went back to the area today and stopped by for old times sack-- how is it that they have gotten more amazing?!!! The food still has the same great taste but they have updated the outdoor eating patio to include updated umbrella tables and a serving window so now you can wait outside and they will hand your food through the side window instead of having to be cluttered inside the market. It was my grandmas first time going with us and she also loved it! Since I have a little brother who is in that area for school I will continue to go there from time to time and I know I'll never be disappointed! Also (although I HATE flies, I am not going to lower the rating because of it because the service and food are both so well, but the flies are atrocious over on the far end of the patio closest to the plants-- maybe put a bug catcher or sticky bug tape over in that area so the customers aren't trying to constantly fan their food! read more

Service was quick. Outdoor seating was good. Bathroom was very clean. However, their food was not very good. I had their regular burrito -- asada meat, rice, beans, cilantro, onions, and red salsa (more spicy than green). Their steak was not flavorful. Amazeballs! If you are looking for a little slice of Mexican food heaven this is where you should go. First, the staff is extremely friendly and I would go in there just to see them. But second, it is my favorite place to have lunch on a sunny day. They have a great patio with umbrellas, first come first serve. But don't go there thinking you are headed to a restaurant, it's a market that just happens to have some killer tacos and other delicious items. If you go on a Friday get the fish tacos, my favorite, otherwise the chicken and pork tacos are also a great choice. when this place first opened years ago, it was great. steak quesadilla, made to order, with fresh meat etc. hadnt been for a while but i didnt want to pay as much as i would at armadillos which i prefer. so i went the other day, it's like a cafeteria, all the meat was already cooked and gross, the cheese was ............. huh? that was cheese??. nachos!! also predone so of course the "chips" were completely soggy, and there was hard stuff in there which might have been cheese but who knows! yeah, cheap, but i guess you get what you dont pay for!!! never again. read more
