Ana's Cantina is a local institution and a fantastic family owned bar where the people serving you are all related. On any given day, you may be lucky enough to get a drink from Ana herself, or from her beautiful daughters Roxy and Kat (or other members of the family). This is an essential stop off for people visiting town, or for locals who just need some refreshment after a long day in the vineyards. A group of 4 of us popped in for a margarita and to watch the FIFA soccer match. I ordered 4 margaritas, paid the bill and gave the bartender, Roxy, a $10 tip. As we were leaving, she approached me and said she had undercharged me, and I owed another $10. She said she would just add it to the tip. What?? It says right on the receipt 4 mighty margaritas; I was charged correctly. So, obviously we will never go back and I will be spreading the word to watch out for Roxy. A customer simply asked for his receipt, and instead of addressing it calmly, the bartender came out from behind the bar and began yelling at him--accusing him of being embarrassing and saying he had no right to ask. In the end, it turned out the customer was correct: they had charged him double for the some drinks. Rather than owning up to the mistake, she chose to be confrontational. This behavior was not only inappropriate, it drove away business-- the six other people who witnessed the incident will not be returning. If they don't get a handle on situations like this, they'll continue to lose customers. read more

I have never been treated so disgustingly in a business in my entire life. We walked into Ana's Cantina simply to use the bathroom and were immediately screamed at and verbally abused by the woman at the front. Not talked to. Not informed. SCREAMED at. She then forced us to pay for a bottle of water just to use the restroom and had the absolute nerve to say, "It costs money to flush the toilet," as her justification. The audacity alone was shocking -- but it gets worse. After being rude, hostile, and downright nasty, she then asked for a TIP. A tip. For what? Yelling at customers? The way this woman came across was vile, unprofessional, and embarrassing for any establishment. I don't care if bathrooms cost money, rules are rules, but there is ZERO excuse for screaming at people and speaking to them with such contempt. I would never, ever, EVER recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of restaurants with decent food and staff who know how to treat humans with basic respect. RESPONSE TO Roxanne: In reference to the remark. I cried because your mother stated I was accusing her and her team of stealing. This comment never came from my mouth. Then your mother proceeded to try and take my car keys and the reciepts that were my property. Your mother then advised me to call the cops and offered no resolution and to get our of her bar. I expected to have a normal conversation and she was defensive and short. Regardless of what you heard from your family members. Your mother was inappropriate in a customer facing space. The hostility is what caused me to cry. The rudeness is what caused me to have an emotional reaction. I never raised my voice. I simply asked your mother why she was shouting at me. I stated that the card was in fact handed to bar tender and never returned to me. Many women have their husbands/partners/boyfriends card. Regardless I came in as a patron who supported your business. Respect and calm communication is expected. You will receive your karma for this. It was wrong. My boyfriend has already canceled the card and we have made the report for this. At the end of the day it is your staffs job to close out tabs appropriately to the correct party. In this case, Mark and staff on duty that night did not do so and that is an error on your teams part. Part of being a community member is being collaborative and treating others with kindness, you have no idea what others are going through. Initial Review: I was at the venue on a Saturday evening and had a good time. I had ended up leaving my credit card at the place and went ahead on the following day to retrieve it. I spoke with the bar lead Roxy and then they proceeded to get the business owner who asked me to sit at one of the tables with her "Ana". She told me that she did not have the card and did not know where it was and then I began to proceed that I was sure because I was a designated driver that night and I bought three drinks for my friends and the bartender the night previous held on to my card and never gave me my card or allowed me to sign for it before leaving. She then responded with anger and a frustrated tone with the comment that I was accusing her and her staff of stealing and or lying and that I was okay to call the cops and that I was told to get the f*** out of her bar and never return. I responded with I am not accusing anyone of anything I just want to locate the card that was left here last night. She then reminded me that I needed to get the f*** out of her bar now or then she would call the cops on me. I have never experience such an unkind and unempathetic human being. Please caution supporting this business. The person who owns this business lacks empathy, problem solving and compassion. I spoke with some friends and they expressed that Ana is senile and has out bursts with people often. She is not stable or healthy. read more

Incredible family owned place to visit. Roxy (with a y) and her mom Ana are amazing. I bet you can't figure out how they get $1 bills on the ceiling.
