When in St.Helena, or the Napa area, and looking for an amazing sandwich, I can't say enough good things about this place. It feels like it's been ages since I've been to a deli where you select the meat and they slice it right there in front of you. They have an incredible meat selection, including what I went with, mortadella. After you select your meat and the person is working on slicing on it, you go to the next person who builds your sandwich with what you would like on it. I went with a mortadella sandwich on a sourdough roll with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, sprouts, mayo, and of course, the Giugnisauce. As you can see from the photos, it was very generously portioned and absolutely delicious! We will absolutely be back when we're in the area next time to try more of the menu!

I've been going to Giugni's since I was a teen, it was the after-school spot and it still hits every single time. They never skimp on the meat, cheese, or toppings, and the bread + deli selection means you can create so many different sandos. Right in the center of Main Street, perfect for a picnic or a quick bite anytime. The space is always clean, and I love the variety of snacks and drinks they carry. And of course... the iconic Giugni Juice. A true local fave that never disappoints. Still one of my go-to Napa Valley staples.

Pretty delicious deli! I thought it was pretty good, I liked how it was constructed but it did feel quite pricey for the size you receive.

If you're in downtown I'd suggest stopping at the Orin Swift Tasting room and then walking down the block for a sandwich from this place. These are FAT sandwiches, they come with micro greens and the works and you can add a bunch of other things for additional charges. The service is a deli line and it moves as quick as whoever is ordering in front of you. The people are nice and you have plenty of customization options. There are seats inside and a bunch of old decor that has obviously been collected over the years. Great, reasonably priced spot downtown!

During a delightful day trip to St. Helena, my cousin and I found ourselves wandering the charming streets after indulging in some delicious English muffins from Model Bakery. As we explored, we stumbled upon W J Giugni Deli and decided to take a peek inside. Intrigued, I quickly turned to Yelp, where the first review I read about the deli was so glowing that we knew we had to give it a try. I'm thrilled to say it did not disappoint! The sandwich we shared was absolutely delicious--so much so that I now wish I had gotten one all to myself! I've been daydreaming about those flavors for days and can't shake the craving. I did attempt to return for another sandwich; however, I discovered they open at 9 AM, and I had other plans. That just means I need to come back soon! If you're in St. Helena and looking for a satisfying yet light meal, W J Giugni Deli is the place to go. Highly recommend it for anyone craving a fantastic sandwich!

Such a good sandwich shop! The hours on yelp are different than the store front, so glad we took a chance and stopped by. I got a vegetarian sandwich with crunchy Dutch bread and cheese. You have to get the Giugni juice on your sandwich cause that's what makes it. They also had lots of chips and a few table options to sit down. I'm not in this area often but will def come back if I am!

Great value sandwiches with lots of options. We appreciated the hundreds of mix and match options, and the online ordering process was very easy. There were a wide variety of meat options, from standard turkey and chicken cold cuts to salamis, prosciutto, honey glazed ham, etc The sandwiches have a lot of meat and cheese which is nice, and they tasted delicious. They have one vegetarian option and egg salad which makes it easy to stop here and find something for everyone even if they don't like cold cuts. We would come back for a quick and easy lunch stop.

Awesome sandwiches. They are the only deli around that has hard sour rolls. The quality is 100%.

I had the smoked turkey with smoked grounds cheese on a Dutch crunch bread. The sandwich was great. No bathrooms and the ambiance is rustic.

I recently stopped by the St Helena Farmer's Market while traveling between Clear Lake State Park…read moreand Brannan Island State Park. (To be real, I wanted a burger from Gott's, but they weren't open yet.) The market was on the smaller side, with maybe about twenty active booths. It was much smaller than the farmers markets I'm used to in the Sacramento area, but much larger than the 4-booth market in Yosemite Valley. The best decision I made was ordering a ham and Swiss croissant from the pastry booth. Sadly, I don't remember the name of the booth, but it was the best croissant I've ever had in my life. (I think it was West Won Bread, unless it was Patisserie Angelica Sebastopol.) A slightly less wise decision was ordering the strawberry shortcake from the cooking school. The student, who did not give off any kind of competent vibe, whispered to the order-taker, "How do I make that?" She quickly recited, "biscuit, whipped cream, lemon curd, berries." I mean, the photo really speaks for itself. There was less than like two tablespoons worth of chopped berries, and the top of the biscuit was not covered in curd. The flavor was all there, but the presentation and portion sizes were not. Then again, this was a cooking school, so maybe some mistakes are to be expected. I wouldn't have ordered from them if I wasn't willing to take the risk. Even though this is a small market, the quality of the vendors is on the supremely artisan side. Definitely worth stopping by for a bite to eat if you're in the area. (Also a great brunch option.)

When we lived downtown, we used to frequent the Gott's in the ferry building...this location is even better. Ordering is super easy, and there is lots of seating toward the road side, as well as toward the back, where there are lots of picnic tables, and shade. While waiting for our food, the manager was walking around the tables, checking in if people needed anything, and saying hello. This level of service, and care, was really nice. On to the food - the crispy taco, ahi tuna tacos were delightful, with generous portions of ahi, avocado, and a wonderful amount of flavor, in a crispy shell. If you're looking for something other than a burger - highly recommend. We also stopped in here the following night - the milkshakes are outstanding - yum! We will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu!
