Avocado Salad
Amanda S.

There weren't many restaurants open between lunch and dinner on a Sunday so we came here. Overall everything was ok, but nothing spectacular. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and is pleasant. Service was friendly, attentive, and food came quickly. The lamb ragu had good flavor, but I would have preferred the sauce be thicker. The fish tacos tasted ok, but the texture of the fish was off, almost hollow and slightly gray in color.

The food was excellent well prepared and presentation was awesome. The service was timely and it was very ... what's the word "romantic". This was New Year's Eve. I was expecting it to be booked solid, but they found a place for us even though everything was reserved.

Lovely place, right in the middle of St Helena. I came here for dessert and loved it. I ordered the churros with Gelato and it was delicious. The order came right away and the gentleman that was helping me was very nice. I highly recommend it.

A small little viby bistro on Main Street in St Helena is worth a stop. The restaurant is clean and tidy with chill decor. Tables with tablecloth and proper napkins gives this restaurant an upscale feel. The service is quick and friendly. The menu is a nice size and the wine list is as well. The menu confused me a bit with the choices of ravioli, fish and chips, a burger and tacos in the same menu but it kinda worked. The food came out quiclkly and hot. The burger was noshed down quickly as was the fish and chips. The artichoke was a bit wet even though it was grilled. The pumpkin ravioli was tasty but a bit too sweet. The wines we chose were good quality and went well with the food. All in all a good experience. Caution: parking is not that easy to find and you may have to walk a bit.

If there was a spot 0 stars, this place would have it. Not only did they serve two other parties before they got to our table and our food came out. It took over forty minutes. The other tables had finished eating and left before we got our main course. I explained to the server that this was an exceptional amount of time to wait for food. He was sarcastic and disrespectful.I will never go there again.

Tostada Chicken Salad

We stopped by to have lunch here after a morning of wine tasting on a Wednesday . We were seated immediately as there were a lot of open tables to choose from inside or outside . We tried the burger w/fries , salad with a chicken tostada shell and salad with salmon. The tostada salad was amazing!! And highly recommend as it was light and delicious . It was a very large tostada salad and was unable to finish it all great portions! My husband tried the burger he said it was okay the sauce was overpowering the burger . And lastly the salad with salmon was also a hit! I highly recommend stopping here for lunch in St Helena as it is very close to nearby wineries . The service was excellent we were able to order and eat within the hour which was great for our schedule ! The only issue might be finding parking as there is not parking available and will have to look for parking on the street .

Been here so many times, Israel is on his 19th year. Delicious eggplant Parmesan again. New stuff _ hot fajitas, sizzling!

Lettuce wrapped Bistro Burger

Great find on our way back from wine tasting. Cute little restaurant with patio & they could seat a party of 4 quickly. Food was good, service was wonderful, some nice wine choices & clean restroom. My lettuce wrapped hamburger was made was fresh crisp lettuce & you couldn't go wrong with the burger & thin crisp hot fries. My friend had the mole chicken enchiladas & she loved them. She is kind of picky about the mole sauce & really liked theirs. Worth a stop if you're headed down Main Street.

Cali Burger with simple side salad... yum!!!

Wonderful little spot we stumbled on and amazed it wasn't busier. Super diverse menu from burgers to Mexican cuisine. Hard to imagine doing it all well but this bistro is all about can do! My burger was cooked perfectly and the charbroil flavor oozed with the juice. Tasty bun too. Served with a simple tossed salad. My pal got the mole enchiladas which he loved. And of course the service was top self. Friendly and efficient. Can't wait to return. So if you are in Napa skip the lines at the grocery store and road houses and sit down and enjoy!

Avocado Salad - YUM!

Today I finally had the pleasure to try this restaurant! It did NOT disappoint! Cute little restaurant on Main st in St Helena with a great little patio for outside dining. I ordered the chicken tacos with salsa verde & an Avocado salad. The avocado salad was bright, tasty & beautiful. The tacos were out of this world! Fresh, great seasoning & fully satisfying. Israel was my server. He was gracious, helpful, attentive & friendly- I'm looking forward to going back!

Would you recommend this for a party of 21 for a rehearsal dinner on a Wednesday night. Looks adorable.?

They have a large indoor area. I believe that would be fine.

The service is attentive and friendly and there's a generally welcoming vibe when you walk through the door. The menu has a good variety that includes pasta and pizza dishes as well as some delicious antipasti / appetizers. I would love to come back and try more items on the menu, but I came here with my parents and we actually ate not too long prior to visiting. A few days before visiting the area, my brother showed me a video of how they make fresh mozzarella in house and I really, really wanted to try it. In addition to the fresh mozzarella dish, I got a glass of wine and we ordered some calamari. Watching them, serve the fresh mozzarella at the table with such a delight. The mozzarella dish and the calamari were both delicious. This area seems to be a slightly more busy part of town, but this place has a large lot and we found parking really easily. It was also on a weekday.

We made a reservation for Saturday night and they sat us in the main dining room. Ambiance was romantic, a tad on the quiet side though there were probably 8 couples dining at the same time. On to the food. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu, non alcoholic. They started us off with a beautiful non-alcoholic rosé toast which was dry, crisp and delicious. We ordered mocktails which were equally tasty. I cannot remember the names. See photo. On to the meal. Amuse bouche: They also brought an amuse bouche of tuna tartare with a non-alcoholic wine. That was fresh & delicious. Supplements: We added the focaccia olive bread and oysters as supplements. The olive bread was absolutely delicious & served with an olive oil from France. The oysters were super fresh with a fluffy cream with a hint of dill on top. We loved them. First course: The next course was golden beets. The beets were fresh & delicious. Like, not love. Bonus course: The next course ended up being a mistake. We were served the egg diavlo which was not part of the 4-course menu. We alerted our server. She apologized and said she entered the 8-course by mistake. The egg diablo is like a fluffy scrambled egg with peppers but elevated. This was ok. Like not love. Second course: Then she brought out the farfalle pasta with peas. Everything about the dish was fresh and handmade but missing something, maybe salt. It was comforting, tasty in its own way but somewhat forgettable. Bonus course: The next course was another bonus! Risotto with truffle. This was super rich, creamy & delicious. Again really good, a tad too rich for me.. Third course: The next course was the duck paired with Israeli couscous. Wow wow wow. This was the star of the dinner. Amazingly tender, beautifully seasoned, bursting with flavor. This was a highlight for me. Everything worked together. Loved this dish so much. Side note: My husband got the veggie plate - grits, beans, squash - as he's vegetarian and he said it was super underwhelming. See photo. Fourth course: This was a two cheese with berry syrup, a fig, a peach and persimmon I think. We were getting so full but carried on. The two cheeses were excellent and the combination of flavors were complex yet surprising and yummy. We thought we were done but I guess there was one more dessert which was like an ice cream, semifreddo with fruit. Both desserts were delicious but we were so stuffed. We had to go for a long walk after. I think has we had the 4 course as planned, the dining experience would have been perfect. Service was good despite the coursing error. Overall Violetto is decent option that is pretty well priced for the amount of food they give you. Worth a visit!

We ordered two supplements that came next: * Pacific Oysters w/ seasonal accompaniments (Supplement-$22): https://tinyurl.com/yckban97 Quite flat but the oysters were smooth. * Potato Rösti & Caviar w/ horseradish crema, caviar, gold (Supplement-$38): https://tinyurl.com/yc5exk96 A bougie twist on a Swedish hashbrown, you can rarely go wrong with anything fried. Golden brown and crunchy but was hoping for more zest and briny flavors. (1) Smoked Beets w/ pickled asparagus, rouille: https://tinyurl.com/mr3fvz7r Diced beets with a cracker on top. Artsy but bland. More of an amuse than a course. (2) Rabbit Violetti w/ braised corvus rabbit, caraway ricotta, almond, sauce robert: https://tinyurl.com/uamp4z8z Sadly, their signature dish wasn't it and didn't look like previous pics. I know dishes change and are tweaked but I wasn't expecting ravioli with no rabbit. It seems like it was just incorporated into the savory sauce. (3) Liberty Farms Duck Breast w/ poached salsify, cordyceps mushroom, sumac hazelnut, duck bordelaise: https://tinyurl.com/3w6whnv3 While the skin was nicely rendered and crisp, the breast was overdone with an odd uneven cook on it. A M B I A N C E Casual elegance vibes in the indoor dining room. Tranquil outdoor dining in the porch nestled around trees. P A R K I N G Valet only (complimentary). Overall, Violetto has been touted as a destination resto with Michelin star ambitions but seems like we visited on an off day. Not only was it a splurge-y, underwhelming meal, it required getting a burger afterwards.

We didn't have a reservation but were lucky to snag one of the outside tables. The ambiance here is one of the highlights. The aesthetic here very much embodies California coastal, with an interior dining room that is both rustic and chic. It would make for a nice lunch or dinner setting during any season. We were brought waters and menus immediately, they also brought water for our dog without us requesting it. I'd heard that the buttermilk fried chicken was a specialty here, so we decided to share that. We also ordered oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and a green salad to balance out the heaviness of the fried chicken. The oysters and the shrimp were brought out first. Both of these were great, refreshing appetizers to have on a warm day. The fried chicken and the salad were brought out shortly after. There is a sauce to go with the chicken, that is recommended on the menu but you have to order it separately. I do recommend getting that sauce as it was delicious. The exterior of the chicken was perfectly crisp and it gave way to a juicy interior. We both really enjoyed it. The green salad felt necessary after the decadence of the chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend visiting while you're in Napa.
