Still, I liked it and ate it all. For the main course I went off the reservation, ordering something that wasn't on the menu, cheese enchiladas. I chose the green tomatillo sauce and the enchiladas were better than most. I'm a bit spoiled, coming from San Diego where the Mexican food is authentic, but this was definitely better than most places make. It's got a beautiful mural on the wall. I personally wouldn't have chosen to have the large TV playing MMA bouts, but it wasn't my restaurant.

My wife ordered the Chimichanga and I went against my norms and did the 'create your own' platter and chose three items: Burrito, Chimi, and another Chimi. This was strategic because USUALLY when you see a 'create your own' that means tiny sized items - half a burrito, half a chimi, etc. - figured I wanted more chimi than burrito. Seems they don't do that here. My platter was HUGE. Full-sized beef burrito, delish. TWO full-sized beef chimichangas. Also delish. Plus beans and rice. I even did something I never do: Asked for a box to take an entire chimichanga home with us. Wife loved hers as well. This is a must-repeat.
