The tacos itself probably needed less oil on them, which means, watch out of it are conscious about it Service is good. We finally stopped today and were surprised that the menu was played out to make it easy to see the plates and the service was great I had a super burrito with shrimp and it was extremely prepared my brother and sister in law had the taco salad and they loved it. Made the trek from Bloomington to Seymour to check out Taqueria Morales. Glad we did! Thanks to Yelp, not hard to find, behind the Morales Grocery store. Small building, maybe six tables. They had some tables blocked off to allow for social distancing. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and she was masked. The menu is posted on the wall. By far the best burrito I have had since moving to Indiana from California four years ago. I ordered the carne asada and my partner ordered the burrito with no meat. We also ordered the jicama and horchata. We took our order to go and ate at a shaded picnic table in Shield's Park. The steak in my burrito was very tasty. The burrito was big, California style, no weird cheese poured over it. The horchata was tasty too. Not the best I have ever had but still good. They put two types of salsa in our order, green and red. Both of them VERY hot. A little goes a long way. My partner enjoyed her burrito too. Man, I love Yelp. Taqueria Morales is a major reason why. I drive from Kentucky to Indiana several times a year. I often stop in Seymour for lunch. Without Yelp, I'd never know that Taqueria Morales even existed. It's hidden behind a Mexican Super Market a few miles off the interstate. You've got to seek it out. But your perseverance will be rewarded. My kids both got steak tacos. They were super fresh and seasoned, and the lime juice took the flavor over the top. But as great as they are, I've got to write about the burritos. The burritos are perhaps the best I've ever had. They are absolutely fantastic, and they're HUGE. We shared a steak burrito and spicy pork (pastor) burrito. They are tasty, unique, incredible gifts from the cook. I can't even tell you what makes them unique. I wasn't paying attention to what I was eating. I was enjoying it too much. You've got to get over here and try one. The sooner the better. read more

This is definitely one of the best places I've found yet for food. I have been here twice now and wanted to wait to write my review for the second try. The outside is very unassuming, located right behind a grocery in a white "garage-esque" building. The directions to it do suck because it tells you it's actually on the opposite side of the street so the first time we had difficulty finding it. Listen to me, you have to eat here. It is so delicious. The first time, I had carnitas tacos which is actually more of a jerky styled meat (it's crunchier) and they were BOMBBBBB. I was disappointed the second time because they didn't have the carnitas today, BUT I got pastor tacos instead which was still amazing and juicy but still has the smaller crunchier bits which are my fave. The spicy sauce really just puts it over the top on the flavor. My husband has had the Cubano torta, the asada torta, & the chorizo burrito. He definitely preferred the asada over the chorizo. He hasn't quit raving about the cubano since having it our first time. We have to drive about 50 minutes to get to Seymour & it's worth every minute for us to get some tacos!!! read more

This place has truly excellent, authentic tacos. Do yourself a favor and bypass the steak and chicken and go right for some of the other meats. My husband and I have tried tacos with 6 different meats: CABEZA DE RES (Beef head), LENGUA DE RES (Beef Tongue), CHORIZO (Mexican Pork Sausage), CECINA (Mexican Beef Jerky) AZADA and AL PASTOR (Spiced Pork, which you can see on the spit behind the counter). All were excellent. The Cabeza is the texture and flakiness of a really fine pot roast. It was easily our favorite, but can be fatty. However, the flavor and texture of the Cecina strips was also outstanding, and the Lengua and Chorizo also had great flavor. We'll order 5 of these again and again and again (we'll pass on the Azada, which isn't as special as the other choices). We also had a chicken burrito since it was highly recommended by one of the other patrons when we walked in. Don't fall into the burrito trap. It does not showcase the true talents of the chefs here. Get the tacos and you will leave happy. read more

Hole in the wall and the best Mexican I have had in ages. We stopped by for a quick snack and each ordered a street taco (pastor amd asada). The tacos were overflowing with meat and delish.
