Warning!!!! This place has HORRIBLE food, wait staff and a moron for a cook. Had to send my food back twice since the cook refused to cook my shrimp. The waitress ignored us for almost 15 minutes before I got up and got us menus. Then she took our order and could barely follow the two simple dishes we wanted off the menu. Then I had to chase her down to get a drink order placed. I ordered two sodas. She brings us water in two dirty glasses. My husband had to hunt her down a second time and when we asked for clean water glasses she ignored us. My husband then tried to order two margaritas so she walked away and 20 minutes went by before I saw ANYONE go to the bar and start making drinks. It was another 30 minutes before we got ONE drink even though my husband ordered two. By this point they had a packed dining room and no one on the floor. After almost an hour our food arrives. She slammed down the plates and brought the wrong tortillas for only my husband and when he tried to get her attention she scoffed at us and kept walking. I started in on my dish with out my tortillas and when I had to send the dish back for having raw seafood on it the waitress also refused to take off the ticket the two dishes she charged me for and when I finally got short and said screw dinner and she claimed their cook can cook it was me! The wait staff is rude, short and stands around talking crap about the customers. Way over priced and lazy. Our table (and two others ones next to us) were dirty. Drinks were horrible and cheaply made but you pay premium prices for the crappiest liquor. Save your money and time and DON'T give it to this business. They need to be stripped of their food license and shut down. The waitress also refused to take the crap food off my bill since I ended up not eating and then also insisted that we got two drinks until I pointed to the table to count the glasses (including the two dirty water glasses she refused to take away.) Then she makes the other drink and demands I pay for both. I paid for one dish and that was the dish (with no tortillas that my husband was suppose to get) and ONE drink since she did not even make the right one, let alone it being completely horrible and cheap. Take the time and just go into Lancaster or Palmdale for lunch. This place is past horrible and will not cook the food correctly nor will they own up to a mistake. read more

We went here for Cinco de Mayo! Arrived at 5pm to try and beat the rush. Had only been here one other time at this new location. Our server prompty brought warm chips and the home-made salsa was delicious! We asked if they had another salsa and they did. It was hotter and very tasty. From the margaritas, chips, salsa,and guacamole (yum)to our delicious dinner entries, we all enjoyed our food. Chili Verde was to-die-for, my sister-in-law said. The rice was moist and delicious as well as the beans! We will definitely not take so long to come back again. read more

I am not really sure what the other reviewers ate in the past to compare, however the truth is this is Americanized Mexican. Nowhere close to being authentic, try Tortilla Grill then you can experience authentic Mexican Food. Sorry their Salsa is watered down with tomato sauce and no chilies. As for the atmosphere it is very nice and homey. The employees are very nice, but a little disorganized. In my opinion don't waste your gas and time. read more

Pretty good food. I enjoyed the enchiladas suizas and my mom liked the beef tostada. The fried ice cream was really good, too.

So, this place is in the middle of nowhere and looks like nothing on the outside, but it is a very nice restaurant inside. The chips and salsa were delicious, I wish the refills had come sooner. Great food in a tiny, totally unexpected place. They even had Bravery beers in bottles. Love to see the little guys supporting the little guys. The plates are huge and a great value. Great Food! Went for lunch with my wife for my birthday this past week. It was well worth the drive!!! I had the Burro Colorado with a Hardshell Chic taco on the side and a Tequila Sunrise......excellent. I'm originally from L.A. and Mexican food is my favorite and this has moved into my top 5 places of all time. it would've been a nice touch if my waitress told me Happy Birthday after I told her it was my birthday...but no biggie. This place is a hidden gem! Yes, it's true, the outside is not very promising. BUT once you get inside you can tell you've picked a good place by the limited number of available seats. ;) The salsa was tasty and the chips were warm & fresh. I got the Carnitas burrito, very yummy. The fam bam got Enchiladas (the cheese ones were the best-Amazing!), Chile Relleno, and a soup. The sopa Azteca (aka Chicken Tortilla Soup) was SOO good. The Fried Ice Cream hit the spot at the end. I recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Mexican food willing to make a little drive to 90th west & E/F. read more

Love this place. I was stationed at Fox Airfield for a couple weeks and ate here a couple times. Great authentic Mexican food. Price is a bit steep for Mexican, but the food is well worth it. My wife and i eat at Azteca every other week, the food is constantly great, my favorite is the number 16 two taco combo with beans and rice, crispy shells and ground beef. The wife gets the beef burrito ala carte. Also the chips and salsa are very good also. We always get seated quickly read more

This place is amazing. The cozy little Mexican restaurant is out of the way and off the beaten path. A bit away from my house but always worth the drive. The food is consistent in quality and the service is good. I wish the fried Ice cream was served without the outer shell because it is chewy. I also wish this place was bigger. Tried this place not too long ago and it was fantastic. It's a small mom n' pop restaurant in Antelope Acres but well worth the drive. Their chips and salsa are great. Their menu has a large selection which makes it hard to pick just one. But regardless of what you order, you will get a generous serving. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant! I gave it 4 stars because I was a little upset when I asked for an iced tea when she brought me my coke but overall this place has the best food. I had an enchilada, my husband had a chimichanga and my daughter had the nachos. If all of these 3 were awesome I can only imagine how good the rest of their menu is. Ok we eat alot of mexican food. We have eaten at all the local restaurants, but this one by far is the best food we have ever eatin in the antelope valley. Tamales taste like corn bread, the food is just spot on. Service was great. From the outside doesnt look appealing but when you walk through those doors. Having lived in rosamond, I would drive by this place and never would have entered by its outside appearance. I eventually read the yelp reviews and and so glad I did!!! The service along with the food were very good. The molcajete was very delicious, my boyfriend raved about the carne asada. i found this place just scrolling through yelp looking for mexican food and it was the top rated mexican restaurant so we decided to give it a try. this place is definitely a hole in the wall, doesn't look like a restaurant more like a house in the middle of nowhere. i got the taquitos and my husband got a al pastor taco and a burrito. the taquitos were definitely not what i expected, they looked more like mini chimichangas but they were so yummy!!! my husband said his burrito was good, but i would be careful ordering the al pastor lol because it's most definitely not pork. it's WAY to fresh and i believe they get meat hookups if you know what i mean (not tryna spread a lie but me & my husband know how fresh meat tastes like) read more

Good things do come in small restaurants. The place is small, the parking lot is not impressive, but the food and staff are great. Don't drive by or change your mind and go somewhere else, this place is worth the extra drive. It's my New Mexican Restaurant spot. The Al Carbon meat is so flavorful, and the staff make you feel so welcomed. Sure it's not fancy, but it's clean and pleasant and it's so right and a great little treat for Antelope Acres. Take your guests or just go for a simple dinner, either way you won't be disappointed.... Unless you don't like Mexican food that is. read more

My last review was in 2014. Just went there last night after a good while since our last visit, but normally go there semi regularly. I give 2 stars now, for the service and the drinks. The food that used to be very reliable, and has now taken a trip down south. My avocado Tostada, which used to be laden with carrots, cabbage, olives, generous chunks of pineapple and orange slices, not to mention ample avocado slices, now had a few older looking thin pieces of avocado on a bed of just shredded lettuce with some chopped tomatoes, a scoop each of sour cream and guacamole. My partner couldn't finish his plate. It was so salty he didn't want to take the rest home. They also have a stated notice on the wall now, that for credit card purchases, they will charge an extra 4% over posted menu price. That wouldn't have been so bad, but over $12 for a plate of mostly shredded lettuce with a few chopped tomatoes??? Did the good cook there exit? Even without the stated surcharge for credit card purchases, we won't be back for food like this. The drinks are still OK if you care about that the most. read more

Great place....nothing to look at from the outside, but the food is absolutely terrific. Ordered the chicken zarrapas with red sauce and rice and beans. Very tasty, the chicken was so tender and plentiful. The rice is about the best I've had in a restaurant, so fluffy. The beans were not mushy and just the right amount of cheese. The churros are very good, I was very surprised when I took a bite because there was a hint of strawberry inside, delicious . Will definitely be going back and trying something new, can't wait. read more
