Wow! This is truly a gem in Los Gatos. But then again I love this city probably because I grew up in the peninsula. Back to this hidden gem. The shop owner makes most of the jewelry and you can tell she loves what she does and it's beautiful. I bought a seashell glass necklace and I love it! The coolest thing is that she carries local artist artesian items. Everything is reasonably priced and beautiful. The gal that works there which she's super cute and has wonderful customer service, truly enjoyed my visit, and the stuff sold.

Cute gift shop. Spent awhile here browsing through everything :) Bought more than few things here. Would definitely go back.

I have been going to this store for years. It's a great gift shop to find things that are unique and off the beaten path. Picked up several Christmas ornaments for the house and as gifts on the most recent trip.

Whenever I see a painting over $100 my brain says "why". Why would anyone spend that much money on art? You could buy every single streaming service for a full year instead. Filmmaking is an art...how could one painting compare to thousands and thousands of shows and movies? I don't know, maybe I'm just jealous. Jealous that a painting can't emotionally move me to the point where I feel like it's necessary to drop $100. I've never experienced that before and don't know if I ever will. These streaming services might be part of the problem. They set the bar so high. I've given so much time and emotional energy to these films and shows, maybe I have nothing left to give these $100 paintings. These movies are trying so hard to make me feel a certain way with their music, filming, acting, and words. I don't want to be told how to feel, I just want to feel. Maybe that's what these $100 paintings are trying to do for me. I need to start watching more paintings. I got to prove to myself that I don't need an award winning dramatic film to show myself I have feelings... I just need to find the right painting. Anyway, I didn't buy the $100 painting from here, but maybe I'll appreciate more next time.

    Grad gifts and cards

Cards and gifts for Mother's Day. There's a huge assortment of jewelery, art, some locally made, and also fun things for all ages. The prices are surprisingly low. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's easy to find this shop across from Los Gatos Coffee Roasting on Main Street.

Excellent gift shop with so much to see and touch that you can spend a couple of hours there browsing all they have got. All is very well categorized by styles or colors but there are so much of everything that is actually difficult what to choose. Tons of very affordable jewelry, stones, purses, paintings. The perfect gift store.

    Holiday gifts are in.

Great gift store for all occasions. The variety and price range make it easy to find the right gift. Unique cards too.

Delightful eclectic gift shop located in the heart of downtown Los Gatos. After walking past this store several times and spying unique home decor on display- including cute metal frog with large opened mouth holding utensils- I decided to enter. What's the harm? I don't need to buy anything. $78 later... This shop encompasses a myriad of gifts and cards, many of which are made in the US. The owner sells fun, sarcastic greeting cards by Bald Guy Greetings, as well as more meaningful handmade cards. Found magnetic superhero books for my nephews- including Batman and Superman. And, despite my best efforts at restraint, gave in to buying two beautiful, ceramic signs with meaningful quotes for my wall. They are made in Wisconsin. The owner was nice and friendly. The business offers a 10% discount card for later use if you are having your hair done at nearby salon. Definitely a great shop with a lot to offer. Will certainly return.

The perfect gift! $29 necklace + $14 earrings

Whitney Modern spotlights art from internationally recognized and collected artists including Smedt, and I have visited a number of times, and each time have been treated to new artists and styles. Just this past month Gordon Smedt had his Leisure and Light show with all his new works. What an incredible and fun show, and Whitney Modern was the perfect intimate venue for this show. My family loves coming here and Suzanne, Whitney Modern Gallerist, is so nice and engaging, and very knowledgeable on many great artists. These are artists and works that are thought provoking, fun, and ones that are not only worth collecting, but pieces you dream of having at home or in the office. Didn't experience any pressure here, just a fun and friendly environment, and a place for all lovers of art to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit, and highly recommend going to one of Gordon's future showings, as his still-life large format works are absolutely brilliant.

We stumbled across this museum while searching for new opportunities through our local library's Discover and Go program. If you aren't familiar with this program, you are advised to check it out because it provides free or reduced admission at many places around the Bay Area. Anyways, three of the four of us were able to score free entry, and the fourth got in at a reduced student rate. Regular admission is $10 as of this writing. There was ample parking in the lot on this Saturday afternoon. The person at the front desk was super friendly and chatted with us about the current exhibitions. There was a fascinating exhibition of the multimedia works of Jody Alexander, who took the cloth bindings of old books and incorporated them into new works of art, sometimes with the Library of Congress call numbers still intact. Also on display were the art of Thomas Campbell (including delightfully chaotic installation piece) and the photographs of r.r. jones of the people he met on his travels. It was well-curated with excellent and easy-to-read descriptions. The basement of the museum focused on the history of Los Gatos and the surrounding area. There are various relics of the town and the area's past, and the story of Mountain Charley and the plight of the Muwekma Ohlone tribe. All in all this was a wonderfully engaging museum and well worth a visit. Check their website for opening hours and current exhibits, and do check out the Discover and Go program for other cultural opportunities.
