Raku is our go to place for very good priced sushi. They have all you can eat for about $25 for lunch and maybe $30-35 for dinner which is hard to find nowadays. The service is always quick they take your order see you're almost done come take another etc. there's usually 1-3 people serving/hosting they're usually always busy too. The ambience is nice, very cozy local ish feels.

It was easy to overeat at this all-u-can-eat establishment. The wait staff were right on top of things to continually add to your order as you wrap up each round. The sashimi was very fresh and the sushi rolls were delicious. Less flavorful were the miso soup, fried oysters (small oysters from a frozen bag, maybe) and the gyoza was Al dente like. The biggest hits were the hand rolls-especially the salmon skin. Parking lot is convenient and the ambiance is modern, clean and beautiful. I'll be back.

Raku Sushi is one of my go-to spots when the bros or gym homies want to go out and get stuffed. The value for what you get is great, and the service is usually fast unless the place is completely packed. I don't come here expecting the highest-grade sushi, but the quality is good enough to enjoy and keep ordering more. It's the kind of place where you can just hang out, eat a ton, and not worry about the bill. A reliable choice if you want a casual all-you-can-eat sushi spot that hits the balance between price, quantity, and decent quality. Make sure you get their fried bananas though for dessert.

I really enjoyed this place! I've been to places from very expensive Michelin's starred omakase restaurants down to value sushi restaurants. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of all you can eat for $22 each, but I'm glad we tried it. Holy smokes, it was a really good deal. The variety and options for types of fish weren't amazing, but it was still really good and there were plenty of hot food choices. I was worried it would be a whole lot of rice and not a lot of fish, but the ratio was surprisingly generous. Towards the end of the meal the fish slices seemed to be a little thinner, but I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. The Hamachi and Salmon nigiri were my favorite. I could eat that all day (and I did). For the sheer volume of food it would have easily been 2-3x the price at any other place. We also ordered hot food like the deep fried oysters, shrimp tempura, chicken katsu, miso soup and gyoza. I liked the tempura and the deep fried oysters. We could have passed on the other items. For dessert we had a sesame ball and fried bananas. Both were yummy. We will be back next time we're craving a lot of sushi! I ate a lot and got my moneys worth but my girlfriend, much less! Next time we'll bring the parents. Our order: 1 Dragon roll, 1 Spider roll, 6pc Salmon maki, 4pc gyoza, 10pc salmon nigiri, 6pc unagi nigiri, 8pc hamachi nigiri, 6pc saba nigiri, 1 order 5pc mixed tempura, 1 order chicken katsu, 4pc fried oysters, 1 miso soup, 1 deep fried banana dessert, 1 sesame ball.

A case of vanishing sushi. Evidence log: One party platter, approximately 60 pieces of sushi. Timeline: Delivered at 7:03 PM. By 7:11 PM, the scene was a wasteland of empty plates and suspiciously full party guests. Suspects: Everyone at the table, including me. Motive: The sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully arranged... for about 3 minutes before my so-called "friends" inhaled it like competitive eaters. Verdict: Guilty of sushi slaughter in the first degree. Would commit the crime again without remorse.

LOVE this place! The service is always top tier and so quick! You get all you can eat Lunch or Dinner rolls 4 pieces each. So no fighting for the last piece of the roll you can get your own!! The miso soup is so delicious along with the salad bar the they have with edamame, oranges, cucumbers very refreshing. The ambiance is simple yet elegant with a unique vibe not like any other sushi restaurant I've been to. Give it a try you won't regret!

Great food and quick, friendly service. The sushi was fresh and well prepared, and the staff was welcoming and efficient. The restaurant is fairly spacious with a dim, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal.

Still our favorite place for sushi! Made-to-order, fresh; clean place; helpful staff!

Super good!! I've been here a few times but this time in particular I came during lunch. The parking lot is small so prepare to walk from a farther side of the plaza when it's busier. It's right off the freeway towards west sac harbor blvd area and it was about $20 a person! My sister started with the dragon roll but found it was rlly large pieces and filled her up as faster than she expected. I stuck with sake, squid and shrimp nigiri. You can order more than on order at one and they bring a bunch of pieces on the plate for you. There's a small "salad" bar with orange slices, ginger, and other small sides. Servers were friendly but if you want a less distracting experience definitely ask for a booth if it's available! We did about 5 rounds of sushi, overall really tasty :)

Probably the best AYCE sushi in sacramento to davis. Definitely helped satisfy the sushi cravings when you were a broke undergraduate. They also have deep fried ice cream at the end but my favorite was the deep fried donuts.

Fast service and friendly wait staff. Sushi quality seems average though. Fish it self did not have much flavor. Rolls were good and so are the appetizers. Not bad for the price.

What does Raku offer people that don't eat sushi?

They have chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, vegetable and shrimp tempura, potstickers, soybeans, seaweed salad and a couple items available for dessert that don't involve seafood.…

Only $20. I think it was on my last review not too long ago.

Which of the dinner menu sushi rolls are available at lunchtime?

    54. Capitol and 55. Crazy

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!
