I've been coming here for years for pedicures and they've always done a pretty good job. However, I had a pedicure last weekend that wasn't good. The employee buffed the skin at the base of my toenails along with my nails. It was slightly painful and tender at the time but I figured it would go away in a day or two. Well, 8 days later, my toes were scabbed and still tender to the touch (along with having the polish completely fall off of 3 nails on the other foot). Everyone makes mistakes sometimes so I returned today to ask for a refund and give them the opportunity to make it right. After speaking with the manager, the front desk employee told me that the manager said no because I hadn't reported it the day it happened. She basically blamed me and said that something I had done since I had left had probably caused it. I will not be returning here. For a $50 pedicure, I expect a little more professionalism. They had a chance to do the right thing for a longtime customer and they decided customer satisfaction wasn't all that important to them. Very disappointed in the ethics of this business. read more

I went here two Saturdays ago and I LOVED it. Lien was my nail tech and OMG I was wow-ed. I got a manicure (even though I have hardly any nails) and a pedicure. I was in heaven for almost 2 hours. Manicure was $10 and basic pedicure was $20. My pedicure also included a neck/shoulder massage. The way she massaged my hands, feet, legs, neck, and shoulders was well worth the price. I felt amazing. She didn't cut me or do a messy job. It was almost perfect. Only things I didn't like were: the massage chairs had weird massage cycles, I've had better massage chairs; they didn't have complimentary refreshments (like bottled water or cookies). My mother and I went to AZUL for some pampering and we were very impressed. I got a massage which was perfect. It is very hard for me to find a masseuse who uses the right pressure that I ask for and ZOYA, the masseuse, did excellent at listening to my needs. My mom had a pedicure and she was so impressed on how much more effort they put into a pedicure than other places. They do a lot of massage of the legs and feet, they really help you relax even if it's just to get your toes down. I got my nails done with gel for the first time and they look beautiful. This place is definitely the only place I'm going to go for my spa needs. OH AND THE PRICES WERE REASONABLE :) read more

Came here for the first time the other day. Got a brow wax and a pedicure. They did an awesome job with both and I love the atmosphere - very nice! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend! The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it is a but pricy! I got a basic manicure for $20, which is not bad. However, they have many other options available - unfortunately they are quite expensive and I was not able to add on any of the items individually. I did get nail art on my toes and they did an excellent job! I will be returning, but only for the basic pedicure. :) read more

If I want a complicated design I can count on my nails to look absolutely perfect here. I wish I had pictures of all the nails I got in the past but they take time to make your nails look exactly like whatever picture you bring in or whatever design you want. You get what you pay for here. I usually get the basic mani pedi but when I do splurge and get upgraded mani pedi's they are amazing, they can include hot stone massage and paraffin dips with lots of amazing massaging. This is the only place I know of that does a small shoulder massage with the pedi's. I get Scottsdale work with Phoenix prices here . The salon is clean and pretty. I liked it better before they remodeled but still very nice and upscale inside. Like I said they do the best designs and take their time to get it right. AND they speak English. Most of the girls speak fluent English. Some will need translating from the other girls but I've never had a problem read more

I came in for a pedicure and was greeted by a not so warm welcome. The massage was rushed and very hard. There is a language barrier so when I asked her to slow down it was as if I hadn't said anything. The massage chair was also not working and when I asked to be moved they said they had already started my water so I couldn't. $35 for a pedicure should be enjoyable. The only. If you want a consistent nail shop this ain't it! They should change their hours of operation they are always closing early. For the last two years I come every two weeks to get a fill and pedi faithfully and always tip. I always get bs excuse or no excuse... "we're closing early" or "we don't have enough people" while I'm looking at 2 employees at their stations on their cell. I come every 2-3 weeks for the past two years and pay 90-120 each to time, do the math. The last three months they have been getting lazy. I have been getting crapy pedicures. I always went to the nail salon across the parking lot. It was mediocre. So one day I decided to try Azul, and fell in love. You have to see my girl, Gina. She's amazing. Super sweet and gentle, yet does the most amazing job. It blew me out of the park. We discussed how my nails were going to be, and she hit it spot on. Went in today and had another great experience. I had the regular pedicure but added callus scrub and french tips on the toes. Christina is very very good. She really gives a good leg and foot massage and your nails are thoroughly examined and cared for. I also found out they do massage and reflexology without the pedicure. My dad passed away I was given a gift certificate for a pedi from my co-workers. After about a month i decided to use it. When i arrived all was cool, it was an hour before they closed they were not busy. I said i wanted a pedicure. The woman said sure, I'm gonna have you pay 1st since we will be closing around the time you are done. OK.... I hand her my gift certificate. What do you know, she can no longer take me!!!! IT WAS AWFUL she treated me badly because I had the certificate. As I'm going back and forth with her two other woman come in and she is willing to take them. Then they can not decide what they want gel or acrylics it goes back and forth. I told her to refund the money I did not want to come back to this spa. She said "not my problem". The two ladies decide to leave and I told her, "they came after me, they did not know what they wanted and you were willing to take them over me because i had a gift certificate." Finally she said fine we will take you. (after 30 minutes) I sat in the chair and cried because i was going to relax and try to get my mind off things instead they just made it worse. Made an appointment to have a hair cut, shampoo and style. Right after I had sat down with this total stranger whom I've never met before he tells me "you need a toner on your hair, it looks yellow". That really threw me off. Please understand that it is not so much what he said it but how he said it, rude and condescendingly. Then we go back to shampoo and he is very rough with your head and your hair. He took me back to the chair with the towel twisted around my hair at the nape of my neck very tightly, all the way back to the chair like that. Continued to be very rough through the cut and the blow dry. If they do read any of these reviews here are my tips.......learn some customer service, manners and tone down the hands. This place is OKAY...they charge waaaaay too much for services, so unless you are ok with spending that kind of money, then I recommend coming here. I don't think they give amazing service. I have gotten acrylic, gel and manicures here and it is just mediocre. I even had the manager do my nails once and they were uneven and not at all what I wanted. I just was so tired of sitting in the chair I let it go. A simple manicure with gel polish cost me $40.00, oh and don't forget the 0.50 cents on top of that for every $10.00 charged + tip. Every nail tech I have encountered there is not nice or friendly. I have given them chances to see if I can find one tech I really enjoy but so far none have impressed me. The plus is that I love the decor, very pretty and girly. I go here to get my nails done- gel tips. I absolutely love the designs and the way they shape the nails- I am picky and if I don't like something I just go somewhere else- but I have been here several times! Jennifer is my nail tech. Shes nice to talk to, and the receptionist is also polite. The only thing is that I have very sensitive nails, and it does seem to hurt when they take off the nails and when they file. I haven't found a place that doesn't yet. Overall, I love the results and the designs! read more

I have been going to Azul for over 7 years now. Their service and product are the best I've found in the area. They have an excellent retention rate of their staff. My entire family has been treated to their services and I always feel like a valued client. On many occasions, they have stayed open late or opened early for an appointment for me to accommodate my super busy lifestyle. I have never once walked away disappointed with a service. I have used them all: hair styling, wax, massage, facial, mani-pedicures. Chloe, Brian, and the rest of the team are simply outstanding. I work with a lot of men, I have even had them compliment my nails each time they change. They have even asked where I get them done, so that they can send their wives there as well. They have always been super friendly and have had great customer service, since day 1. I have NEVER had a bad experience with any of the employees or the outcome of my nails. I booked an appt (mani and pedi) with Azul through the website and received confirmation that my appt was good to go. I arrived at 9:00 on time and no one was there until 9:05. Once I went inside, the person I tried to talk with was rude ordering me to sit down until someone could help me. I waited until 9:25, even though my appt was for 9:00. I showed the confirmation to a nice young lady and she guided me to the area where I would get my pedicure. The woman working on my toes cut the skin on my toe and painted half of my pinkie toe nail. The same woman also was to do my manicure and she also cut the skin around the cuticle. She did not know how to do the nail design I wanted. After the 4th time, she got it, but by then it was already 10:30 and I had another appt at 10:45. I didn't want the clear coating on my nails since I had to be somewhere else. The woman was upset and kept insisting I must have the coating. I told her I didn't want to since I had to drive and be somewhere else. I used to go to this place and liked it. But now, the services does not meet the good quality and expectations that they once had. It'd be a long time before I go back again. read more

I always come here for a mani & pedi. This time around I came in because I broke my nail & needed a tip. They made me wait an hour after continuously taking new customers in that walked in after me (all walk ins) I had never had to wait this long however, I believe they did this because I wasn't paying for a full service considering they continued to take other full service clients before me. They had me take a seat 30 minutes into my wait & said they would be with me. 10 minutes after sitting there without anyone assisting me the manager starts MOVING me out of the way & says she's going to help another client where they had sat me down. She literally rolled me out of the way which I did not appreciate and I let her know. Instead of apologizing she laughed and said she needed to help the other client. Keep in mind it was literally just a tip and it wouldn't take that much of anyone's time. After she personally moved me, it took another 30 minutes for her to decide to help. She calls me over & leaves me for another 20 minutes waiting for the one finger to remove the SNS. This was such a waste of time & I will definitely never visit here again taking into consideration their lack of concern for others time as well as they inequality based on services. They go above and beyond when a full service is at hand however not for a tip considering I am always here. I don't appreciate their service or their lack of responsibility. read more

I would never recommend this place. The people that do the work are fine. It's the management that is horrible. The guy yelled at one of the girls that she did the ticket wrong and it was coming out of her tip. I was embarrassed for my nail tech! The guys at the front desk will yell for the girls from the front of the business when the girls are in the way back. If you don't have cash, they slam your card down. My son gave me a $40 gift certificate to AZUL Day Spa for a pedicure. I have to say that I had the WORST experience ever. The young lady who gave me the pedicure was incredibly rude. She never spoke to me the entire time. She would point and/or grunt to communicate. She was extremely vigorous in filing my foot to the foot that are hurt and felt as if was going to bleed. After she finished painting my toes, she smeared the paint on both big toes so had to start over with reapplying nail polish. There was no offer of a free pair of thongs. This time she put my feet under a dryer and then left never to return. For all I know she left the building and went home. She clearly indicated that she was bored and wanted to be anywhere but where she was. i will never go back as I feel that there are many other businesses who will appreciate making $40. read more

I just gor my hair done here yesterday. I asked for light to medium brown hair, caramel highlights and long layers. What I got is literally black and white skunk hair. He thinned my hair to the point of a shag and left dye all over my neck and ears. When i called and complained, the owner argued with me and said they would attempt to fix it but it would only be by the original stylist and I would need to pay for the additional dye. I am currently at another high end salon getting this catastrophe hair fixed. I would never recommend this place because if a guest is not happy with the service, an effort should be made to fix the issue, not send them to the same stylist who couldnt get it right the first time. read more

So this was my first time at Azul Day Spa Salon. Honestly the place is clean, very well maintained and beautiful! There were a few things I didn't like and one of them was that my appointment was at 5 but I only got seated at 6:20. I understand the place was busy but why keep a client waiting when they possibly have other plans. The time management was not it's best and pretty unprofessional as well. The lady who did my nails although yes did do a nice job on the design but was rude and did not do what I asked. I asked her to file my nails before she started painting especially because one of them was chipped she deliberately ignored me and rushed through it. I paid $55 for a service that did not even file, buff or clean my cuticles I'm not even going to mention that I didn't get a hand massage. Usually most places that charge so much offer a lot more. The service definitely needs improvement. read more
