Do not use this place This is How $100 L size T-shirt become $5 with this laundromat where it says low heat but it's actually high temperature, that's the last time I'm coming here and this is not the only one , all my clothes are gone , damn man ,

you may miss it driving by, but this is the outside of the building.

Currently sitting at the Missing Sock. *Will review again later* Moved from Dallas where i had an in-unit washer and dryer. I had the luxury of doing laundry on a Sunday night without having to fold my laundry immediately... and wear pants lol Found this place on Yelp bc it was close to a coffee shop i like. I was stuck between this place and another laundromat off of Lombard. I noticed that there hasn't been many recent reviews which is a bummer because i'm new and need some honest recommendations. I came at around 10:30 on Tuesday. Parking was right out front which made my trip easy. No one was in the building when I arrived, but i did see some laundry going. My biggest thing is feeling safe, especially in a new/big place. I felt safe here and the people that did come in to quickly get their laundry seemed like normal, sane people lol. I'm interested to see how it is on the weekend once I start working FT. My only downside is paying so much for the washers. Again, i've always done laundry at home so I am not sure what's a typical price for a load. I didn't let this affect my 5 star rating. How to: If you've never been here, go to the back right and you'll see a loading station. This is great because you don't need to get coins to do laundry! I bought a laundry card for $5 and then had the option to load more money on it (i chose $20). You can check your balance at the same station or at each machine. Load your laundry in, add all that good cleaning stuff and close the door. Insert your card, press the type of wash you want, press start, pull out your card. Can we take a minute to brag about how CUTE this card is... it's the little things yall! I took a lot of pictures with captions and i'm hoping it'll help the newbie. Let me know if you have any tips on making laundromat life easier. I used my food containers to store my detergent

Cool clean laundrymat open late (last wash 11pm?) the machines function properly and cost about what you'd expect for this neighborhood, theres chairs to kickback in, and some goofy funny-pages laundry humor on the walls. A couple times theres been some of the local Homeless just hanging out inside, mostly harmless but didn't feel comfortable leaving my clothes unsupervised. No coins here- you have to purchase a laundry card - but they post how to get refunded if you dont use it all.

This is where the missing sock usually ends up

"The Missing Out of Order Sign" I was debating between calling this place the missing laundry attendant or the missing out of order sign. Both are valid. The first thing you'll notice when coming in is a homeless person. (Usually on the left corner near the one plugin). I've seen a variety of homeless people in here. Some sing karaoke. Some blast their music. But none of them do laundry. I'm not sure if I can entirely blame them though, since many of the machines don't even work. I've had fair luck with the washing machines, but the dryers usually require several restarts or machine hopping. Price wise it's $3.25 a load for a wash and $1.75 to dry. So $5 per load, which isn't bad. There are six settings for the washers and three for the dryers. Protip: Make sure your phone is fully charged beforehand. Management: Just get rid of the one charger in the corner. It attracts a steady supply of homeless people. Also pleaaaaaaase fix the machines

Ask the Community - The Missing Sock Laundry

Does the missing sock have restrooms available? Some facilities don't/won't allow their restroom use. I ask because I'm traveling a great distance to utilize the laundry it…

We do not have restrooms available. Thanks for the question.

I use powdered detergent. Can I use that here, or do I have to buy liquid soap for these machines?

Hello! You can use powder but liquid is preferred.

I thought Missing Sock had free wifi?

Yes, we do have free wifi but we are experiencing a problem with ATT that requires them to come out. I can circle back with you when it is up and going which should be in the next day or two.

BEWARE OF THE MANAGER WHO HAS A RECEDING HAIRLINE AND GRAY HAIR TRYING TO REACH HIS SHOULDERS. HE IS DISRESPECTFUL AND WILL IMMEDIATELY YELL. Noting that this place SAYS it takes Apple Pay, but it actually doesn't work on ANY machine. They don't warn you at all. They wait until you lugged your laundry there, put it in the wash and put your detergent in for you to find out on your own that Apple Pay actually DOESNT WORK on ANY machine. I voiced my disappointment and suggested they put a sign up or something. I spoke to the balding manager in Spanish to keep my feedback between us. He then went ahead and switched to English on purpose (to belittle me because he assumed I didn't speak English) he raised his voice so loud so that the ENTIRE PLACE could hear him in English, he put his hand in the air and pointed at the door and said "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!" As a grown woman I have NEVER been yelled that loudly in my life! ( I genuinely feel bad for the women in that mans life, it was waaay to easy for him to default to scream at a women like that). And the short man who was cleaning laughed at me when this happened. Rude men work here!!! All the people in there paused and stared. It was beyond belittling and not a business I will EVER support again. I am part of many Lower Haight communities and have taken the time to tell everyone about this devastating situation this man/business put me in. AND ON WOMENS MONTH! My neighbors and I have now bought a washer and dryer and share it between the building so now nobody goes here. But if you must, I recommend The Hayes Laundry or Fiesta Laundry, who has parking and charges you exactly the price to see displayed. After this I checked my charges and they have been charging me $15 per wash 40% of the time without any refund. They have been stealing money from their customers this entire time. Respect women and your customers!

All but the detergent dispenser with individual boxes of Tide and the like were quarters-only; the washers and dryers accept both coins and credit cards, convenient! It took a few times to swipe my card at the correct angle but I got it. Dryers were HOT so $0.25 for 5 minutes went far. All our clothes were dry in 25 minutes, maybe 30 for heavy towels and jeans. Free parking out back, easy to load up and drive off. Pressed for time? They offer wash & fold. I'll be back soon to do heavy items like my duvet and comforter where these machines do a better and faster job than the three sad machines in my building. My clothes seem a lot cleaner and the chore, completed much faster.

Toss N Turn Laundry - We thank all of our customers for a great first year. We appreciate your business and support.
