I can honestly say this was the worst! They did not do any kind of intake survey to see what my needs were. The rooms were dingy and lacked privacy. However, those things could be overlooked. What could not, is the man conducting the treatment was not at all trained. If you want to be pinched and poked on for 90 minutes this is a place for you. The man seemed to have very little knowledge of muscles and fascia. Even when I told him to lessen the pressure on my adductors, he did not listen. Originally liked this place for the price. However the last time we were there, there was a sign that indicated the 'required' amount for the tip. When we were in the lobby checking out and getting out our tip money, one of the women was very unhappy and expressed herself to the receptionist who then explained we did not tip enough. We are very generous tippers and were not trying to get away cheap. We simply didnt have the amount/percentage indicated by the sign (we were unaware of this prior to our appointments). If you're looking for something a little bit different than the average (expensive) Massage Envy massage then this place is for you! I was hooked by the $25 price and after reading Jennifer's review was very intrigued. I was very surprised. Unlike other massages I've had in the past where I came out worse then before, I felt completely relaxed. Jack worked on me and he did a great job! It was kind of nice being in a room with several other people. It didn't feel as awkward as the sterile, small rooms. It was dark, calming and relaxing with just a bit of chatter from the people working there. I didn't mind the occasional talking because I've lived in Asia and been the person speaking a language no one else knew. As for the massage, heaven! I love the fact it was full body, but I still had all my clothes on. You do end up doing a few yoga moves like pushing your legs to your chest if they figure you can do it, but they didn't do it to the woman next to me so they seem pretty good at figuring out how flexible you are. I would not recommend this place for people with certain illnesses or issues with back or neck problems since they do quite a vigorous massage. For this stressed out teacher, however, it was perfect. Low cost, professional, head, back and reflexology foot massage. First, $25 seems way too cheap. That was a concern except for my wife's endorsement. Post massage, I would have paid $75 for the hour without complaining. A serious tip is in order at Azure. The massage was through and professional. I don't prefer a male masseuse but this one did a great job. About half the time was spent on my feet which needed some help. Just finished an unexpected 16 hour shift. He found every sore muscle in my back and shoulders. I will probably return, but have to wait until the bruises heal. It was a through therapeutic massage. I also prefer to not get undressed so usually get a chair back and shoulder massage. It is a plus that you only have to remove your shoes here. They cover you with blankets to keep you warm although that is not much of a problem in Arizona even in the spring. The single large room is divided with wood lattice and paper partitions. Other comments about language issues are probably correct. No one spoke a word in the entire room during the hour I was there. So, language or accents are not a functional problem. The reception person speaks great english. After reading the Yelp reviews I was excited and a little nervous about trying Azure for the first time. It is really only $25 for an hour and that seems so cheap you wonder what kind of experience you are actually going to have. While there are not individual massage rooms, there are bamboo partitions that create a private space. It pretty much goes as others have described with you feet soaking in warm water etc. Since it was so quiet there was no talking between me and the lady giving the massage Ann so if you want to communicate about the pressue etc I would do it before they take you back. You may want to do this especially if you are worried about pressure etc. The hour was over way to fast and I think the next time I go I will be adding additional time. During a 2-day drive, my girlfriend and I stayed overnight nearby and decided to get massages. We opted for the "couples room" and oil-free reflexology massages. My female masseuse was professional the entire time. While I suspect her English was minimal, it hardly mattered. She checked my comfort level anytime there was a change, such as a hot towel, pressure massage, or shifting of my cover towel. I've been getting massages here for the past 3 years. There's a reason why I drive half way across town to get massages here. Most of the massages were top notch. Some were good. None were bad. Not sure what the fuss is all about. I normally have better massages with the females. Guys just don't seem very good with their hands. Yes they do not speak English much. But they understand a few words like "softer", "harder". So I just tell them "harder" like on my legs, and "softer" when on my face. If I have several areas that I want them to work on, I point to it and say, "more". I am not Chinese and do not speak Chinese. They have all been very accommodating, especially the ladies. I usually do 90 minutes. The desk clerk told me the chair massages weren't very good so I never tried them. I've always been a good tipper. Well... where do I start? is it with the fact that NO ONE speaks English... apparently not even well enough to understand OUCH... and painful groans! While you lay there in agony wondering if you can just get up and leave!! They ask if you want deep or med and trust me when I tell you you get what they want to give you. Both my friend and i went yesterday 01/26/2018 and while the girl looked at me and said "off... off" my friends guys was busy snapping at her shirt and bra... (she chose to leave her shirt on as later I will explain why) The 2 people who "treated us" are NOT certified reflexologists~! I am pretty sure she picked my blanket up off of the floor and 100% know she dropped it back there neatly folded (assuming for next client) it just goes on and on... Another great thing about not speaking English is when she looks at you and says "oy..oy.". she means oils! She had to go get the Head Dragon from the front desk and she came in and asked me if I wanted oil... I was like... sure. EXTRA FEE! lol But before it was over and we were literally picked up and dropped and on the table... not kidding, seriously had my pants pulled down just above the crack!! and a knee in between my legs.. ( my Girlfriend was lucky enough to miss this little part!) But by this time I was laughing so I didnt cry... and all the while my best friend is feeling quite violated wondering how many lines have been crossed. After the 90 mins (which I don't know how ANYONE could survive) as we go to pay, knowing it is 50.00 for 90 mins she informs me the "oy" is 5.00 more. We both had 10.00 tips in our hands which is 20%. As both the violators are standing behind us she (head Dragon) tells us our tip is not good enough!! In my best Japanese accent... I used to go here a lot for my chronic joint pain. The therapists are straight to the point and very friendly.

The price was right so I tried it. 'Kelly X' was my masseuse. I had the impression that she really didn't want to do it. She did very unnatural massage techniques that did not feel good and that did not at all relax the muscles. When I got home my back muscles were totally inflamed. Later that evening I had extreme pain in my leg and buttocks, which I found was a pinched nerve in the back called sciatica. I had to be on pain relievers for three days and after a week the sciatic pain is still killing me. Mind you, I had no issues prior to the massage and have had numerous massages in the past, all with excellent results. This was horrible! I contacted the business and they said 'we don't use western massage techniques, we do Chinese style.' If you use this business, by all means, stay away from Kelly X. I have been Azure more than once. My sister goes very often, both of us have had good experiences in the past, but that all ended tonight. I booked with the gentleman my sister used because Leo no longer works there. When I booked, the receptionist said they were all wide open for appts tonight, and so I booked him for an hour at 5pm. When I came in, she told me he was unavailable, so I asked if Alice was available, as my sister said she was good also. She told me yes, she called back to tell Alice who said to send me back. Mary took me back there and when Alice saw me, she refused to do my massage. Mary and Alice started arguing about who had to do it. Finally Mary told me to lay down. I told her I requested Alice, she said Alice didn't want to do it. They the argued, in front of me, about who had to do it, so I went to the receptionist and asked what the problem was. She said they didn't want to do my massage, I asked why, she said she did not know. I am a big girl, but clean, professional attractive and kind. I'm not huge, but this is the only reason I could think of that they would not want to do my massage. I was so embarrassed and hurt that I left. Let me start off with the good. Everyone here is so very nice and sweet. They are welcoming and accommodating. I got an hour and a half massage by an older gentleman. He was nice. First, they keep your feet in warm water and have you lay down for quite some time that it really hurts your lower back. This guy has absolutely no clue what relaxation is nor has anyone told him or trained him how to be gentle. He rubbed/ scratched/ or something like it on my head so hard like he was searching a bad itch. He pulled so much of my hair out. His back massage felt okay but him rubbing my face for 30 minutes was not relaxing at all. There is obviously no technique to reflexology and the males are not trained and any sort of relaxation moves. I would say save the money and spend it on an actual massage. Oh, and this place ridiculously charges $1 extra to use your credit/debit... that's $1 extra for each service. Makes no sense. And they ask for 30% gratuity fee. read more

The people were nice but the massage was only ok. The bed you lay on is uncomfortable and they didn't do much with my neck and shoulders. Foot massage was good and relaxing. I would have given more stars except I tipped the guy $10 and he complained to the receptionist who told me the tip for a 90 minute massage is at least $15. I decided to book a 45 minute massage that I felt was centered on the lower back. The woman who checked me in was very congenial. She asked if I wanted the head, shoulders, feet and back service, of which i applied yes. As I was led back into the room, I told the woman, Lily that not to touch my knee, as I had surgery on it. Translated and accepted. However, she wanted me to lean back onto the table with my feet submerged: that would not work; she worked on my head for 15 minutes: interesting; she began working on the feet, and I just wasn't enjoying it. During that time, my knee is slowly screaming (four weeks after surgery) and wondered when she would work on my back, as I had verbally told the translator, I was quite sore in the lower back from PT. I had to stop the massage at 28 minutes in, and leave, as I was confused about the service. Just verbally tell them either at the reservation or when you enter, of what service you need. I was looking to get a 30 minute foot massage and came here without an appointment and was able to get in without any waiting. I confirmed twice with the person at the desk that I only wanted a 30 minute foot massage. She then told the masseuse "a 30 minute foot massage". I was having a hard time understanding exactly what they were saying. We got to the room and the masseuse said something about 30 minutes, (again having a hard time understanding exactly what was said) it seemed like he was confirming 30 minutes. After a little while it seemed like this was a long 30 minutes. After the massage was completed I looked at the time and it was an hour. I went to the front desk to pay and was told I told the masseuse I wanted an hour. This was incorrect! I then just went ahead and paid and was then told I needed to give the masseuse a 30% tip as she pointed to a sign on the desk stating a 30% tip is required. This is crazy as I believe you tip on the service provided (sorry I did not feel it was worth 30%). I will not go back! read more

I would have given 4 or even 5 stars, but as you walk out, there is a sign that pretty much insists that you tip a *minimum* of $10. Really? That's 30%!!! When she worked on my back, more friction burn but this time she used her forearm and all of her weight on me. I told her "too much", she smiled, nodded, said "sorry" and kept on with the same thing. At this point, I am livid. I go up front to pay and HAVE to tip $10 (see above review) and wanted to complain but there were 4 other therapists up there along with the owner and his wife. They asked how it was, I put on a fake smile and shrugged my shoulders. Decided to call back and complain. You know their response? "Sorry. We will note in the computer to not schedule you with her again." That's all. Really? They refused to give me at least half of a refund, or schedule me another session with a different therapist, or even offer a discount on another session. I will never, ever go back. I referred 4 people to them and they will not be returning after this either. First let me say I and my husband have had many many massages over the years from all over the U.S., Mexico, and Jamaica. We just got a massage from this place and it was disappointing to say the least. You are fully clothed, and they put blankets on top of you and then put your feet into a hot bath at the same time. Very uncomfortable to have someone massage over your clothes while you are hot. The room we were in did not have a door and it was very noisy. You heard other workers going back and forth opening other doors and they had the dryer going the whole time which you could hear very loudly. You could also hear kids in the back. And I thought I smelled smoke on my the person who gave me mine, very unappealing. The wife and i went yesterday for the $35 hr. massage... We both agreed it was the worst experience we've ever had with a massage. The wife was getting beaten up by Tony and she was yelling stop your hurting me (i was in room across from her). This by far the worst massage place I've ever been to. Went on Saturday (1/2/16), to kill some time before my hair cut (which had a wait of 30 minutes). Since this place was close by, why not give it a try. Went in and asked for a 20 minute chair massage. Kim starts by scratching my head (like if it was itchy), then goes to my neck and beats the shit out of me (she left me bruised).
