Only one line was open, 10 separate carts waiting. When I made it to the front the tall young man working never said a word to the shopper before me and made him bag his own items. I was mind blown that not a single word took place during the entire encounter. Then when I get to the counter he ignores me too. I said "hi" no response, didn't even lift his head. I say "how's your day going" and he literally paused as if he wasn't sure if he should respond and then said "oh, good". That was the end of our interaction. I had to bag half my items because the people behind me started handing him their payment before I even got my receipt. It's actually almost impressive how poor of an employee you can be and retain a job here. A simple "hi how's it going" isn't too much for a checker to muster.

Expressed with rudeness to couple that there were no cashiers and he need to help in self check out. I proceeded to pay and as everything played in front of me I had to speak out loud to him you should have patience and watch the way you talk to them. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like someone thanking to your parents that way. No response from him and he proceeded to scan the items. Manager or employee shouldn't be speaking to customers with that response or that tone. If you don't have cashiers before you open the store to customers, you shouldn't be opening the doors then. He took the time to talk with us about different cuts of meat, shared cooking tips, and explained the current specials without ever making it feel like a sales pitch. You could tell he truly enjoys helping customers. The lamb chops he prepared and was handing out for customers to sample were outstanding. They were cooked perfectly and showcased the quality of the products Sprouts offers. As a retail manager with more than 10 years of experience, I know how difficult it is to find team members who naturally connect with people the way Mike does. Technical skills can be taught, but the energy, authenticity, and customer-first attitude he brings are incredibly rare. Sprouts in Glendora is fortunate to have someone like him leading the meat department. I'd also like to recognize Brianna at the checkout for being friendly, helpful, and eager to assist, and Damian, the store manager, for being genuinely kind and welcoming. Staff!! Needs to Shape Up -- Manager Saved the Day…read moreI came in for a simple oil change and unfortunately had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had here. I want to be clear-- I love this Walmart. The store itself is always well-stocked, and the staff throughout the rest of the location are consistently helpful and friendly. That's exactly why this stood out so much. I waited about two and a half hours for my oil change. The wait itself wasn't the issue, I understand these things take time. What I cannot excuse is the complete lack of communication from the Auto Service Center staff. No updates, no acknowledgment, nothing. A little transparency goes a long way. I eventually asked to speak with the manager Jeff . He was an absolute gentleman respectful, professional, and went above and beyond by personally working on my truck himself. That told me everything. The standard is there; the problem is the staff not meeting it. The workers in that Auto Service Center need to shape up. The manager showed exactly how it should be done. If he can lead by example like that, there's no excuse for the rest of the team to fall so short. Do better -- your customers deserve it.
