Stopped in for lunch after seeing that the monthly pizza was a lobster roll pizza. I was keeping my expectations low - how good could it be? It was our first time trying Azzip and we weren't sure what to expect. Well....it was a great experience! Ordering was fairly straightforward- you go through the line to tell them what size, toppings, etc. I did the lobster roll "Shell Yeah!" and hubby had "The Classic" (like a deluxe or combo pizza with veggies and meat). We also ordered side salads and got to take advantage of the free drink and cookie offered when you join the free rewards club. Both pizzas were delicious. We did the square (pan style) pizzas. Crust edges and bottom were nice and crisp. The slightly spicy sauce on the lobster pizza gave it a nice zip. Dipped the crust in cheese sauce (added that as an extra) and yum! Pizza was gone! Azzip pizza of the month is always a gourmet fusion of pizza ingredients. A Ski reduction with Grippos dust on the Evil Pig/Westsider. They have a Detroit style deep dish that is crunchy on the edges and absolutely wonderful. They also can offer up a thin crust sausage and pepperoni with the very best pizza shops. I won a gift card so I gave this place a try. It was interesting to order a pizza like a sub shop but it works perfectly! They made the pizza as I told them what I wanted, sent it through the pizza oven and in a few minutes it was done! I really enjoyed it and keep coming back to try different things. How do I start a franchise of this business. The concept of a make in front of a customer pizza and ready in 4-5 min. Mindblowing. Lots of different crazy flavors. I had the egg roll pizza and sure enough tasted like an egg roll. Even crunchy with wonton bits. They've added craft and standard beer by cans at reasonable prices. If they would add some canned wine that would be good too. Targeted at a younger audience this is perfect place to get a quick pizza that is made to order and feels pretty healthy. The pizza was delicious, and the flavor combinations were unique and offered great choices not readily available at other pizza shops. They also have options for people with food allergies, and they change gloves, wipe down counters, and create a safe place for people who need a safe choice to enjoy great food. I am very impressed with Azzip, especially the pizzas. I may try some of the sides or desserts again on another visit, but I was underwhelmed on that front. But the pizza here is the main attraction and MAN is it good. I grew up just outside of Evansville, so the Westsider tastes like home. Highly recommend that pizza. Sides we tried - the garlic cheese sticks are just a cheese pizza with a little more garlic, cut into strips. Very good, but... you're kinda already eating that if you got a pizza. The cookie I thought looked a little burnt on first glance, but by the time I tried to get a better look they both were consumed by my kids. So I guess they tasted fine! Service is good, but they're just trying to get through the line. Respectful while doing so, but nothing particularly over the top. Beware, the dining room is big space that echoes a lot and gets loud. It's wide open, yet feels crowded in a way I couldn't put my finger on. Pizzas here are 5 stars, really the only thing holding it back is kicking it up a notch on the sides. Wish I could give this another half star, because the pizza is just that good. read more

I had a Big Zip 11" with pepperoni sausage, olives, banana peppers and cheese. Crisp and excellent. My wife had a Little Zip with a bunch of veggies. We gave Azzip a try and have visited a lot since Jan. My daughter absolutely loves this place. I normally mix the garlic butter and marinara. The service is always fast and the staff is really nice. They make it fun for kids to watch their pizzas get made. My daughter loved the happy face they did before putting in her toppings. It was very clean inside and they also have high chairs and booster seats for the littles. There is a parking lot on the side of the building for easy access. We will be back. This is the Subway of pizza joints. They do pizza your way. You can either choose one of their signature pies or make your own. You have to first select your type of pizza (Little Zip, Big Zip, Square Zip), then your sauce (Italian Red, Pesto, Buffalo, Ranch, garlic butter, and BBQ Sauce), then you add your meat (pepperoni, sausage, chicken, bacon, and pork), and then top it off with your veggies (onions, peppers, olives, tomatoes, banana peppers, hot peppers, pineapple, mushrooms and spinach) and finish off with your cheese. They also have salads, cheesy sticks and cookies. There is even beer there.....what, what!!! Anyway, some of the signature creations include the Triple Double, the Italian Stallion, the Funky Chicken, and the Potato Head. I did not feel like coming up with one of my own so I went with the General Yum-Yum. It took about five to ten minutes to have my pie ready. I ate it in the dining area and It was fresh, hot and delicious. It was also very filling and I could not eat all of it, so I got a box and packed up my leftovers. The staff there is very friendly and helpful and the dining area is very clean and trendy. They have a descent sized indoor dining area and an outdoor patio to eat. They also have ample parking in their private lot. This is a neat pizza joint where you can really have it your way. You can make your pizza as healthy or as fattening as you desire. I had never tried Azzip Pizza before, but recently saw an Instagram video review from TravelingFoodieGuyDe and HOLY SHIT. I'm a major fan of crab rangoons, and absolutely love pizza... combining those two things? Priceless. I got both styles (big zip aka thin crust, and square zip aka deep dish). Hands down the big zip/thin crust was the best. My buddy and I ordered several pizzas last night, and when I tell you that I woke up this morning and ate my leftovers, please understand the crave was real. I would 100% order this pizza year-round. It definitely hits all the right spots, and I was impressed how the crispy wontons were still crispy when I re-heated it this morning. 100/10 in my book. I'd been curious about Azzip Pizza for quite some time and finally found myself in an adjacent neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Azzip Pizza is an Indiana-based chain that started with its first location in Evansville in early 2014. From their website, Azzip was started thanks to founder Brad Niemeier winning Purdue's Burton D. Morgan Business Plan Competition and a $20,000 prize to kick-off the business idea. He gathered friends and family and got going. That first location has turned into 10 locations now - 8 in Indiana and 2 in Kentucky. This location close to the Indiana/Greenwood boundary is the only current Central Indiana spot. I have to confess that just about everything I expected from Azzip wasn't true. I envisioned it as this hole-in-the-wall ethnic joint. In fact, it's located in a free-standing building that is nicely situated, very well decorated, and staffed by super friendly folks who are probably from Indy or Greenwood. They have a couple accessible parking spots behind the building. The ramp is done very well. I was super impressed - and, yeah, I may have been expecting less. You enter and go into this aisle that leads to the ordering counter. I stopped for a moment to survey the menu since I knew very little about Azzip before I arrived. They offer a Big Zip (11"), Little Zip (8"), Square Zip (Pan, 7"), and also have options for zero carbs, gluten free, and cauliflower. I had a friend who got me a cauliflower crust once. I'm still bitter about it, but hey, if it makes you happy go for it. They have several pizza variations already figured out and they do offer a build your own option that includes a variety of sauces, meats, and veggies. I kept things simple with a Pepperoni Square Zip. They seem to do a steady carry-out and dine-in business. The dining room is bright and awesome and had several tables that worked well for wheelchair users. The beverages are self-serve (soft drinks and iced tea options are here plus they have some cans/bottles). My pizza was a substantial meal sliced into four pieces. I had ordered it for dine-in and they did box it, though that was no big deal. This was a solid meal for a little over $12 for pizza and drink made how I wanted it. It's one of the better pan options around, especially in what I'd call the "fast casual" arena of pizza. The employees were very friendly and the atmosphere is bright, comfy, and offers enough room that those who are being cautious in terms of social distancing can do so pretty easily. It did look like they have an outdoor dining area for better weather or for you psycho snowbirds. Azzip is located just east of US 31 on Stop 11 Road. It's pretty easy to see and parking should be no problem. I'm not quite ready to say this is going to be a destination spot, though there's no doubt I'll stop by when I'm on the Southside. read more

My review is based off the gluten free pizza only. Things I LOVE about Azzip in general... 1. They have unique pizzas that are already created if you have a hard time choosing. 2. They have a gluten free option. 3. They have multiple crust and size options as well as low carb options. 4. Pizza of the month! Love this concept! It helps people come up with new and creative pizza ideas. 5. Different side options and great dips! I ordered the E'vil Pig on a gluten free crust. When they put in my sauce on I thought "no way I'm even going to be able to taste that" (because it looked like such a small amount), but I could definitely taste it and it was delicious. I loved the combo of BBQ sauce, smoked pork, red onion, grippos BBQ chips and SKI (sweet sauce reduction from SKI citrus soda). The flavors together were great and anyone who puts crunchy chips on a pizza gets my vote! My only issue was with the gluten free crust. The edge was nice and crispy but the interior was very soft and didn't have great texture. Maybe pre-baking it first and then re-baking would create a better texture? My sister and I stopped here for a quick lunch today. Once you walk in, you'll notice plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You order your food at the counter where they can do special personal pan pizzas or create your own. I ordered one of the monthly specials Called The Shamrock which had pesto sauce, provolone cheese, green peppers, spinach, potatoes, carrots, and celery. I also got a soft drink you can get yourself at the fountain machine. The food was great. The staff seemed a bit quiet and withdrawn but served the food quickly. Have tried this place a few times now and every time being better than the last. I placed an online order of two kids meals and a cinnamon bread sticks. It said it would be ready at 6:37 we placed it at 6:21. We got there at 6:40 and walked inside to the busiest I've seen a place this size every table and the whole line being full. I went up to the counter and asked about the meal they let me know is wasn't ready yet and apologized profusely. The lady working the pizza oven needs help asap that poor girl was so stressed and doing to much herself, shoutout to her. Every time I drove past this location I would check to see if it was finally open... and today was opening day! We were able to order the pizza online for curbside pick up, and the system was relatively easy. I love that they have a build your own version and offer great veggie options. They offer variety of crust options with a gluten-free and cauliflower crust at not much higher cost. We went with the regular 11 inch crust so that each of us could get our own personal pizza. It was a nice size and left a little bit of room for something else. If you don't get an appetizer you'll probably end up eating the whole thing... at least we will next time! My veggie was quite flavorful and had a lot of the options on top. I'm a big fan of having multiple veggies and I loved that you could choose all of the veggie options with no extra cost. A huge plus! The pizzas are very much more like flatbread than a typical doughy crust, so if you're looking for a typical crust this might not be the best option for you. But if you enjoy the cracker flatbread flavor, which I do, then this is a place to check out! I really enjoyed my veggie pizza as it wasn't super heavy and I didn't feel guilty about eating most of it. The roasted garlic add an extra bit of flavor which went super well with their marinara sauce. I'm excited to have the spot open close to us as it's a great option when you're craving a flat bread type pizza. Yum! I saw in one of my foodie groups that Azzip had a Crab Rangoon pizza of the month for March, and being the crab rangoon obsessed person that I am, I obviously had to try it! The pizza alone was deserving of five stars, it was as delicious!!
