Got a half cheese half pep hand tossed and a hand tossed Robbie girl. Usually not huge on chicken on a pizza but the chicken was the thin sliced kind so it was good. The Robbie girl is like a Cajun meets Italian type of pizza and was really good. The star of the show was the breadsticks though, some of my favorite around Indy. Definitely will try again

I don't like low reviews but this really is deserving. I ordered 2 gluten free pizzas and one regular pizza to get a full rounded tummy and review. The gluten free pizzas are cooked in an aluminum pan and wouldn't come out. They were inedible as is, the manager offered us plastic fork and knife after I asked wtf is happening here. They said nobody else had complained but I'll bet nobody else ever ordered the gluten free bc there's no way that passes for anyone. The regular pizza come on a basic food service frozen disk of cardboard crust, very similar to jacks, bobs, Gallaghers, nothing special or good really. $60 for 3 pizzas, 2 weren't really pizza and the third as basic as it gets. 2 stars bc I got a partial refund, $20 for a basic 14"cheese pizza. Unsolicited advice: drop the gluten free from the menu, make your own dough, don't try to be fancy just make better regular pizza.

Beech Grove Greek’s Pizzeria - Breadsticks (minus all the breadsticks we ate before remembering to take a picture)

Chuck was our bartender and he was fantastic! He suggested a few draft beers on tap and I went with the Mango Cart. I loved it! Food came out piping hot and didn't take long at all! There are 2 entrances to the building but they both connect in the middle so you can go between sides. One side has just seating and a counter to order and the other side has more seating and the bar. There is free street parking right out front of the building. I would recommend checking them if you're in the area!

So we decided to give Greeks a try…read more Our server was very nice and attentive however we were unable to get a beer as she isn't trained to serve alcohol and no one was working the Taproom side so that was disappointing. Then we weren't told that there's a charge for refills of unsweetened tea and she kept offering them and never said anything nor is there a notice on the sign/menu It's not until you get the bill and ask about the extra charge are you informed. There's also a fee for using a card that you don't know about if you pay at your table. All of that being said I can see why people just do carry out here. We ordered the bacon French bread. It wasn't overcooked and crunchy. Had a nice flavor. Dipping cups are very small and you do have to pay for any additional dipping sauces which is fine but based on the size of the cups I could see that being a problem for some The pizza was really good. The dough was light and airy. The pizza bbq sauce combo paired perfectly with the pineapple ham and bacon. Pizza seemed to come out pretty quickly. A medium was the perfect size for us. This place has potential and is in a prime location on Main Street with plenty of street parking. If we give them another try it'll be for carry out. I was torn between rating this a 3 or 4 star.

I was in the mood for something different on this Memorial Day weekend. I decided to head South a…read morebit and journey my way through Beech Grove to see what I could find open on this holiday weekend. I'd long been curious about 5th Ave Grill and Bar, but for some reason I'd never stopped in. Today, I did. 5th Ave Grill and Bar is located right on the Main Street strip in Beech Grove. It's, you guessed it, a grill and bar. It's also, you guessed it, on 5th and Main Street. Beech Grove is pretty hit-and-miss when it comes to accessible businesses on Main Street. Fortunately, 5th Ave is pretty solid with a slightly slanted entryway and even a few tables for outdoor dining. Most nights of the week, they host either events or live music. On this day, they had a solid but not necessarily large crowd. As it's race day here in Indy, the Indy 500 was on most (but not all) channels. I was served fairly quickly. It always feels weird to order an iced tea in a bar, but I'm always grateful when they have it. I took some time to browse the menu. It's mostly your standard bar fare with several burgers, pizza, some handhelds, and a few other items. It's worth noting that handhelds don't come with a side - that's extra (chips or fries for $3 with the ability to upgrade the fries to a specialty for another $3). I opted for the breaded tenderloin sandwich. I added fries to it - I was pleased to see that they were steak fries. The tenderloin is definitely hand-breaded. It's a healthy size. It's what I'd call a good but not quite great sandwich. I didn't quite finish it, though that's partly because my always desired iced tea refill took a bit to actually get. The atmosphere? It's a bar. It's loud, though not unbearably so. People were being social (as is true for most bars). Accessibility was solid. I moved a chair away from a table, and it looked like most aisles were passable. I did not check out restrooms. Overall, I'd call this a very solid 4-star experience all the way. The service was solid. The food was good. The atmosphere was friendly. I enjoyed my time here and would easily return.

I had to actually walk up to the bar in the Tavern to pay for my pie. You will find it on the side of the Tavern, near the back. It has a decent sized parking lot, but the spots were pretty much all taken up with Tavern patrons while I was there. They have outdoor patio seating available and you could probably also eat in the Tavern's indoor dining area if you wanted. They have a very compact menu consisting of a few signature pies or you can build your own with their toppings. You can get either a 10", 12" or 16" (they have a 6" option if you make your own. It is not available for signature pies.), you call it. I ordered the Death by Scorpion Sauce 10" pie. I got the scorpion sauce on the side because I did not know what to expect. The pie was ready in about 10 minutes. It was hot, fresh and delicious. It had a little kick to it, like I like. But it was not overly spicy to the point that you could not enjoy it. I really liked it. It was hard making it home without digging in, with it smelling all good and stuff on my passenger seat. In addition to my scorpion sauce on the side, the guy threw in some parmesan cheese and peppers packets. I will be the first to admit that this place looks like a hole in the wall when you are approaching it. However, they make a good pie. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem. I am sure that you won't be disappointed.

Once we arrived the pizza was being pulled out of the oven and was piping hot and smelled delicious. We ordered a 16 inch Katie Bug Pie which had veggies and a veggie patty. We asked for light cheese but might not have been heard as if this is light then regular cheese must be an abundance. Next time we would probably choose no cheese just to taste the veggies more fully. The dough was a nice flavor with lots of veggie toppings and plenty of sauce. It was a round pie which allowed for big slices and two were plenty for each my husband and I which means they were full of flavor and veggies. My only slight thought would be it is a tad salty fir me, perhaps the veggie Patty or sauce had more salt than I like but it was still delicious. I can't speak to their other options but from our first try it was a worthy spot for a take away pizza. Plus they have a cat that comes for petting and ha going out in the courtyard and who doesn't love a snuggle after pizza? Definitely worth trying out!
