Had been to the location by Cambridgeside so wanted to try this one out. This one is much larger and offers table service. I believe you still order at the counter and they give you a number to leave on the table. I loooooove their iced matcha drinks, my favorite is the strawberry jam. I always feel like I drink it too fast that's how much I like it. I'm not sure how matcha is normally made but I watched them make it, it's like filled with milk and then one scoop of matcha. They have other flavors I've never tried but one day. Also their pao de queijo is yummy. Fresh cheesey bread!!! Money wise it's better to buy a four pack but they also sell them in singles if you just want one. I will say, the problem here and at the other location....is the time you have to wait. My pao de queijo was ready in minutes. My matcha....well almost 15 minutes. Only one guy was making drinks for a long time until someone came to help. Came on a weekend and the place was packed. It was much bigger than I was expecting inside but we couldn't find a seat in the 30 min we were there so decided to take our food to go. I tried the guava matcha and pan de queijo and both were solid. The matcha was strong but too sweet, even at the "less sweet" level. The cheesy bread was flavorful but very salty and way too small for the price of $4. Overall it's a solid place that I'll return to for drinks but I will def try to come at a less busy time. read more

Ah bom dough what a CUTE cafe! We came here after taking a yoga class down the street to grab a bite all together and it was such a great spot for a small group gathering. Even though it was clearly bustling we were able to find space - it didn't feel crowded - and the staff when beyond to help us make sure all allergies were recognized and the food was adjusted properly. Shout out to consistently fantastic service and a great location! We had 2 of the eggs and greens, the potatoes were fantastic and one of the eggs were switched out for poached eggs since the main batch is mixed with cream. I LOVE bōm dough and would be here all the time if I could. This is an adorable cafe/brunch spot with a good amount of seating and delicious, well-priced food and coffee options. This is a great spot to take a friend to brunch, or to work during the weekdays (they have a no computer policy on the weekends, likely due to the demand). Their pao de queijo is the star of the show! You can either get it as its own pastry or use it as your bread in one of their sandwiches. I've gotten several pao breakfast sandwiches throughout my visits and they come with tasty sauces on the side that enhance the experience. Their breakfast gnocchi is also unique, yummy, and big enough to take leftovers home. I've tried their mochi waffles, which are chewy and soft at the same time. Their flavored lattes are also delicious--most recently, I got the raspberry mocha latte. This place can get busy on the weekends but tables tend to turn relatively quickly. It's less busy during the week, so sometimes I come here for a coffee and a snack and to work. I love the green decor and the airy vibe. I got the good pesto brisket sandwich with pao de quejio dough, dulce de leche filled pao de quejio, raspberry mocha latte, and iced guava matcha latte. My friend was excited to share this place with us. Turns out I had been here before for a prior Yelp Elite event years ago. Having only tried their traditional pao de queijo, I was excited to be back again! We got a variety of items including their smoked salted caramel latte iced w/ traditional pao de queijo & doce de leite pao de queijo, crack chicken sandwich, and breakfast gnocchi. Fun to get but probably wouldn't again just because outside of the novelty of this giant cookie with chocolate, it tasted like a standard cakey chocolate chip cookie with more chocolate. The Sunny Stack was impressively loaded with scrambled egg and tons of avocado/guacamole on the side, and the (BBQ-based) happy sauce on the side indeed made me very happy. Warning: it gets very messy once you add the two to the already full sandwich! The pao de queijo bun was even better (chewier and cheesier) than expected. It was very reasonably priced too. The guava pao de queijo was filled with lots of delicious guava jam. I had leftovers for dinner. The bread texture was different but still enjoyable. The entire sandwich smushed down a lot over the few hours, which actually made it less messy to eat. They have a sign saying no computers allowed on weekends. I really liked bom dough. The space isn't very big but still nice to sit and have breakfast. Very clean too. The food is also really good. I had the breakfast gnocchi and really liked it, but couldn't finish it. It's a really heavy dish for breakfast! I also tried their guava filled pao de queijo. I loved that. The texture is great and the guava is super flavorful, but it was almost too much guava jam. I tried the smoked maple latte special for fall, but that was actually too much for me. I placed a takeout order from Bōm Dough today, having wanted to try it for some time. I had a Good Pesto Brisket sandwich on brioche (that's the dish name--I'm not saying it's just "good"), which was nice and came with fresh arugula and tomatoes. The brisket looked a little fatty from the outside but it tasted great, and I didn't feel a fatty texture while eating it. But the star of the show was the doce de leite pão de queijo. YESS! Bom dough becomes less Brazilian and less customer friendly every single time I come in. They do not use real condensed milk in their coffees, they stopped making the brigadeiro cookie, and they changed their menu. Now there is a new policy (that isn't stated on the menu or online) that you are not allowed to make any substitutions. I have ordered the classic eggs benedict multiple times at this exact location and substituted potatoes every time. If you have any doubts, there's two other yelp reviews from a few months ago that show they also substituted potatoes on the same dish. The employees are kind and unfortunately seem very fearful of the owner as it was stated multiple times that they would lose their job if they honored the substitution that has been done previously. I don't know what this owner is trying to accomplish but forcing people to pay $7 for a side of potatoes and threatening your own staff probably isn't the goal you should have for running your business. I forgot that I came here on a date after eating that first bite of the cheese bread. I just stopped talking to her. I was so mesmerized by how it pulled apart and getting it heated was a must. The garlic spread that came with it was a good lift to the cheesy-ness, but the cheese bread was so good, maybe even better on it's own. The mochi waffle with fruits was also crispy on the outside but mochi-like on the inside and the abundance of fruits was so good. I just wish I had more syrup, because usually I like drenching the waffle in syrup. The lox sandwich was also good but overshadowed by the cheesebread. It's in the Cambridge area so the parking can be a little tricky. We walked a couple of blocks from where we parked to get here. But it was worth the walk. There are plenty of seats so we didn't have to wait at all to find a table and the staff was super chill. We were in the inner side and there weren't many windows, but it didn't feel cramped and the atmosphere felt nice. Holy Moly! This place was so so good. We weren't sure what to expect, so we got a little variety of things to try, and we were floored by how delicious it all was!! The pao de queijo grilled cheese was probably our favorite! So cheesy, great flavor, and the tomato soup was an amazing pairing. I dream about the pao de queijo. PERFECTION! Anyways... I came here on a holiday weekend so, unsurprisingly, the line was out the door. It took maybe 10 minutes to make it to the counter to order. I ordered the regular pao de queijo and a hot coffee. Service was very friendly and my order was ready quickly. There is a good amount of seating so I was able to find a table. They brought my food out maybe 5 minutes after ordering, which makes sense since they just had to heat up my pao and pour my coffee. The pao de queijo was HEAVENLY. Warm, chewy on the outside, perfectly moist and fluffy on the inside. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the coffee was meh. I asked for milk and they put so much in it looked like a latte, which might explain why it was room temperature. I don't think it was bad per se but I like my coffee hot. The Good Pesto Brisket tasted great, on the other hand I tried the Crack Chicken at this location and I have to say that the other Cambridge location made it way better, still wasn't bad but a little dry. The Pao de Queso was good but I'm not a fan of it with Guava but alone they're amazing. This location was very spacey and had available seating with a nice environment.
