If you love pão de queijo, make it a point to visit this spot in Cambridge. It's a spacious cafe with plenty of space to sit and enjoy a long meal. Or you can grab coffee and pão de queijo to go. Assuming that the pão de queijo would be small, we ordered two traditional and four with guava to feed myself and my nine-year-old daughter. Little did we know that they are huge with so much guava that it spills out with most bites. We left very full and very satisfied. They are chewy and delicious! And the guava inside is mouth watering.
Ah bom dough what a CUTE cafe! We came here after taking a yoga class down the street to grab a bite all together and it was such a great spot for a small group gathering. Even though it was clearly bustling we were able to find space - it didn't feel crowded - and the staff when beyond to help us make sure all allergies were recognized and the food was adjusted properly. Shout out to consistently fantastic service and a great location! We had 2 of the eggs and greens, the potatoes were fantastic and one of the eggs were switched out for poached eggs since the main batch is mixed with cream. We tried the gluten free mochi which was DIVINE. Totally recommend coming in to share some happy space with great vibes.
Came on a weekend and the place was packed. It was much bigger than I was expecting inside but we couldn't find a seat in the 30 min we were there so decided to take our food to go. I tried the guava matcha and pan de queijo and both were solid. The matcha was strong but too sweet, even at the "less sweet" level. The cheesy bread was flavorful but very salty and way too small for the price of $4. Overall it's a solid place that I'll return to for drinks but I will def try to come at a less busy time.
I LOVE bōm dough and would be here all the time if I could. This is an adorable cafe/brunch spot with a good amount of seating and delicious, well-priced food and coffee options. This is a great spot to take a friend to brunch, or to work during the weekdays (they have a no computer policy on the weekends, likely due to the demand). Their pao de queijo is the star of the show! You can either get it as its own pastry or use it as your bread in one of their sandwiches. I've gotten several pao breakfast sandwiches throughout my visits and they come with tasty sauces on the side that enhance the experience. Their breakfast gnocchi is also unique, yummy, and big enough to take leftovers home. I've tried their mochi waffles, which are chewy and soft at the same time. Their flavored lattes are also delicious--most recently, I got the raspberry mocha latte. This place can get busy on the weekends but tables tend to turn relatively quickly. It's less busy during the week, so sometimes I come here for a coffee and a snack and to work. I love the green decor and the airy vibe. I feel like they could also charge much more but I'm always pleased at how fairly priced their food is (compared to some other brunch spots).
I order some takeout and was pleasantly surprised! I got the good pesto brisket sandwich with pao de quejio dough, dulce de leche filled pao de quejio, raspberry mocha latte, and iced guava matcha latte. Wasn't sure what to expect, but the sandwich was delicious! I added habanero fig mayo and it made everything so much better. My only gripe was it was pretty greasy but nonetheless flavorful. The dulce de leche pao de quejio was also the perfect marriage of salty and sweet. Lots of dulce de leche was inside and my belly was content. The drinks however, were not anything special. I wouldn't get them again. I recommend the sandwiches and the dulce de leche pao de quejio!
My friend was excited to share this place with us. Turns out I had been here before for a prior Yelp Elite event years ago. Having only tried their traditional pao de queijo, I was excited to be back again! We got a variety of items including their smoked salted caramel latte iced w/ traditional pao de queijo & doce de leite pao de queijo, crack chicken sandwich, and breakfast gnocchi. We thoroughly enjoyed their delicious drinks in the comfortable and quiet environment. The name crack chicken was fitting since it was so addicting to eat. The gnocchi was also delicious drowning in the rich tomato soup/sauce. Overall, we had a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm very happy to have come back again and be more than satisfied with my visit. Looking forward to the opportunity coming again!
The strawberry matcha was AMAZING. I would definitely come back just for the matcha, the strawberry flavor was very strong. The cookie was pretty good, a little pricy but the cookie itself is bigggg. Fun to get but probably wouldn't again just because outside of the novelty of this giant cookie with chocolate, it tasted like a standard cakey chocolate chip cookie with more chocolate. The bacon benedict was pretty good, the pao de queijo was very enjoyable. However, outside the pao de queijo, the rest of the meal was just decent, nothing too special.
Love love love! I'd been wanting for a long time to come for pao de queijo - Brazilian chewy cheese bread. My first visit did not disappoint! The Sunny Stack was impressively loaded with scrambled egg and tons of avocado/guacamole on the side, and the (BBQ-based) happy sauce on the side indeed made me very happy. Warning: it gets very messy once you add the two to the already full sandwich! The pao de queijo bun was even better (chewier and cheesier) than expected. It was very reasonably priced too. The guava pao de queijo was filled with lots of delicious guava jam. I had leftovers for dinner. The bread texture was different but still enjoyable. The entire sandwich smushed down a lot over the few hours, which actually made it less messy to eat. They have a sign saying no computers allowed on weekends. I saw a mix of people on laptops, people chatting, and people just focused on eating. Spacious with plenty of seating. Service was great too!
Such a cute lil cafe! Fresh and bright atmosphere and food. I just wish the portions and water cups are bigger!!! Super busy on the weekends so would be smart to ask a friend to grab a table while you stand in line. Definitely a great place to catch up with friends. I want to come back to try their guava matcha latte!
Great food and super quick/efficient service! The weekend line was a little long but moved really quick and food was at our table within 5-10 minutes of ordering. The Brazilian cheese bread pastries and sandwiches are pillowy and delicious and they have an excellent array of coffee and tea drinks.

This is not a drill...I was brought to the absolute best breakfast meal I've ever had. Talk about unique, satisfying, quality, and aesthetic. This was our first stop on our way to Harvard and I hardly could decide on what to get. My friend got the Mochi Berry Waffle, added a side of potatoes, and an oat milk ice coffee. I ultimately got the breakfast combo which came with a choice of pao bread (I remember there was a basic, garlic, and guava), scrambled eggs, and thick sliced bacon. I also ordered a pistachio matcha latte. You order at the counter and choose your table. We got the window table at the smaller dining area. It was completely empty when we began and it was very quiet. But this place fills up quickly! So make sure you get there early to find parking and have the ultimate breakfast. The pao bread was heeeeavvvvyy in weight and light in sweetness. Filled with guava jam of some sort, chewy mochi like bread, crispy outside. The scrambled eggs were perfect and a great portion. And the bacon. OMG the bacon was thick cut, perfectly cooked, more like pork jerky coated in a caramelization of the bacon fat. My type of bacon. The matcha latte was quite sweet. I think it was the pistachio, which I'm not certain but it seems like they use the pump flavored syrups. So that's probably where the sweetness came from. Overall added to the meal and it was the perfect breakfast for my last day in Boston. read more

I went when they first opened and it was good, but had some things to improve. Now a year later they fixed all the little issues and continued to innovate their offering. Have a anything that they make on pao de queijo (which is also gluten free!) and you'll see what I mean. I tried their breakfast sandwich (good egg) and not only was it extremely cheese because of the bread, but was very well balanced and seasoned. read more

I'm a sucker for smoked salmon Eggs Benedict and this hit the spot. The good egg sandwich came a little over done and tasted like your average breakfast sandwich. Service was fast if your looking for a quick bite. Decent lattes as well. read more

The Review: BŌM dough isn't kidding. It's definitely is very good (bōm). On top of the delicious eats, the café itself is airy, light, and modern inside. Makes for a whole experience while munching on this twist on a Brazilian classic, pão de queijo. We were really blown away by how good the pão were, from savory all the way to sweet. Their coffee was a nice addition to our spread. Way to go! We will 1000% be back. read more

Ordered a Good Egg sandwich for take out. Come home to find out... they forgot the egg. Trying to get a refund or contacting them is impossible. Called them and was told to go to their website, which has no easy way to get the refund or contact them. They then defer to whatever service toasttab to handle the refunds instead. Will be the last time I'm going here unless this is fixed and compensated for. Terrible experience overall. read more

I have wanted to try böm dough for ages, and I finally did - and it exceeded my expectations. My friend and I ordered the strawberry matcha, and we loved it - it has such a unique flavor, and you can truly taste both the strawberry and the matcha. I ate the crack chicken sandwich, and it was delicious - the chicken was perfectly seasoned and the mozzarella and other toppings added so much flavor. The bread itself was to die for - my friend and I both got our sandwiches in traditional Brazilian pão de queijo bread, and it was so soft and fluffy but also filling at the same time. The cafe itself also has such a cute and cozy vibe. I'm so glad I tried böm dough, my friend and I both loved it and have agreed that we will return soon. read more
This lovely Brazilian café has the friendliest staff, tons of seating with natural sunlight shining onto their plants, and the most delicious selection of drinks, brunch sandwiches, soups, yogurt, and breads Their pão de queijo is absolutely out of this world‼ I love the fluffy texture of the bread and adding grilled cheese to them to dip into the tomato soup tasted so comforting and delicious You definitely need to try their sweet pão de queijo options in addition to their matcha drinks which have the perfect sweetness and matcha consistency If you're in Cambridge looking for a lovely place to work, this is your spot! read more

We ordered a good egg sandwich with cheese bread, churro waffle, and a strawberry matcha latte. The winner was definitely the good egg sandwich. The flavors were bursting and the cheese bread was so chewy and delicious. I almost wished we had ordered another sandwich instead of the churro waffle. However, the churro waffle was decent, I think it was just a little bit too heavy (mochi bread is a lot) for me and it was served kind of cold. As a matcha connoisseur, the strawberry matcha was way too sweet for me. Maybe I will give the regular matcha a try next time. We came here on a Sunday morning and it was very crowded. You need to find a table on your own after ordering, so if there aren't any tables left, you will need to take it to-go. I appreciate how there are no screens allowed on the weekends. Went for a late brunch and tried their proper food: I was very pleasantly surprised! Had their gnocchi tomato soup thing, high was really nice and a huge portion. Also tried the chicken sandwich, which was very good but also quite small. Didn't have to wait long for a table, but i do think takeout is the best strategy here, given that there isn't table service and you spend most of the time in like to order. read more
A very cute spot! It's clean and spacious. This is a place I would go for the environment more than the food. I really appreciated how distanced yet wide each table was. Even though it's open, it still feels like there's a sense of privacy due to all the space between each seating area. The space also provides a high ceiling which allows room for conversation without having to speak over the people around you. The service was good. Servers knew where to look throughout the wide location helping them deliver food promptly. The food and drinks were good and kept me sustained during my stay. Again, not really rating this place for the food. It's a place I would go back to due to its maintenance and design. read more

bōm dough might be my new favorite bakery/casual cafe in boston! the light and bright ambiance is perfect and not too fancy. it can be a little loud but easily overlooked. service is very friendly - you order at the front and they bring your food out to you. the traditional pao de quejio is absolutely phenomenal, i could eat 10 of them. the guava and doce de leite pao de quejios are both good too, but i enjoyed the traditional cheese much more. the other food was solid, but i think where bōm dough really shines is the individual pao de quejios. the benedict was yummy and served on a pao de quejio (of course) instead of the typical english muffin. the mochi waffles were decent but nothing too special. the tomato basil gnocchi soup and pao de quejio combo was probably the best food item that i had! the soup was perfectly paired with the pao de quejio. overall, i would highly recommend and i can't wait to come back! read more

I got a Strawberry Matcha, three doce de leite pão de queijo, and a The Good Egg sandwich. The Strawberry Matcha was good, no notes! This was my first time trying pao de queijo, and they were delicious and filled to the brim with doce de leite! I got the Sunny Stack on pao de queijo, and it was incredible. I loved the sandwich and the pao de queijo as the bread, you absolutely have to try the pao de queijo. I could smell the truffle off the sandwich from the guy two tables over too! I came on a Wednesday morning and surprisingly there was a small crowd, but luckily there is plenty of seating. The staff was nice and they brought my order out to me (it was unclear if they would bring my order out or if I had to pick it up because they did not give me a number) Note the cafe has a no laptops policy on weekends! I can't wait to come back and try another sandwich! read more
Highly recommended checking this place out! Not only is it beautiful inside, there are so many options for food and drink options. I ordered an iced pistachio latte with oat milk and the crack chicken sandwich! The crack chicken sandwich was so flavorful. Everything they added to the sandwich worked so well together. A cute gem I didn't expect to find in Somerville! We came on a Sunday for the first time and had no idea how PACKED it would be! The line was crazy long and it stayed super busy until the late afternoon. If you can tolerate the loud volume at this cafe/restaurant, it is a good place for brunch with friends or as a study spot. They have a good amount of seating also. As for the food, it was pretty unique and also serves as a great way to expose people to some Brazilian bakery pieces you wouldn't have otherwise found unless you wandered into a Brazilian mom and pop shop. Though a bit pricey for the small portions, food was still very tasty. Cafe in Inman Square! I wanted to gatekeep this place when my friend first brought me here, because it honestly might be my favorite brunch spot in Boston and Cambridge. Their "handcrafted sandwiches" are cool (you're not here to get a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel) and they are bangers, the mochi waffles are big and come with lots of toppings, and they have some pretty unique specialties like their breakfast gnocchi and benedicts served on pan de quiejo. They also have a sizable drink menu (tea, matcha, juice, coffee, etc.) and I'm big fan of their matcha fruit drinks and seasonal cold brews. The space has a good amount of seating compared to most cafes, and is set up for smaller groups (two to four people). Vibes are clean, simple, and modern; during the week it's a good spot for getting work done (free wifi and a lot of WFH-ers here), and on the weekends it becomes a busy spot for people to catch up. Additional note: I think about their pan de quiejo sandwiches a lot. They have a really solid menu but here are some of my favorite recommendations: any "handcrafted sandwich" on pan de quiejo -- my favorites are the Crack Chicken and the Good Egg and the pan de quiejo adds a lot of savoriness and decadence to the sandwich, the Berry Mochi Waffle -- the mochi texture is there and it's not too sweet, and the Breakfast Gnocchi -- gnocchi in creamy tomato sauce, served with burrata and their perfectly poached eggs, all balanced with a small side salad. read more
Lovely cafe with a cute interior and plenty of seating. Great cafe to study in ~ Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend their pão de queijos - they were very cheesy and soft. They have additional flavors like garlic or pesto but I think original is still the best. Their sweets were amazing too - if you want an interesting latte, try their pistachio one. It has strong, nutty pistachio flavor and they have plenty of non-dairy options too. Dulce de Leche donut was good, the filling was a bit too sweet for me but the flavor was on point. This cafe was very cute and had a lot more seating than I initially thought. We went on a weekday morning and there was no wait. Service was very fast and we loved everything we ordered. The pistachio latte had the perfect amount of sweetness. The scrambled eggs were well-seasoned (and came with a very generous amount) and the pao de queijo was soft and fluffy. The mochi waffle was amazing! It was the perfect chewy texture and came with a big portion of super sweet strawberries and blueberries. Highly recommend this cafe for the food and atmosphere! read more

Ordered takeout and got the crack chicken sandwich as well as the brigadeiro cookie. The sandwich was tasty but small, similar to my prior experience here, the sandwich portions are definitely petite. The cookie on the other hand was huge and delicious. Overall I would recommend for people to try this place because the food is tasty, but I wouldn't go regularly as the value for portion size just isn't there. read more

This place is truly the bom.com and like nothing I've tried before!! I'm getting giddy just writing this review but first of all, the ambiance of the place was so cute and clean, minimalistic but with enough personality to entice you in and an awesome place to study and do work at with tons of space, natural lighting, and outlets! I was so focused and grinding through my work until all of a sudden, the food came. I ordered a ham and cheese bun and a pesto pao de queijo. I took a bite of the pesto and had to stop because I was absolutely in awe, speechless in fact, because of how much life was in this tiny bread. It was crispy on the outside but warm and cheesy, but not obnoxiously so, on the inside. It was giving mochi donut vibes but savory and the spice on the top was just enough additional flavor to be added to the whole puff. This was becoming a dangerous activity, I felt like I could pop a whole army of these pao de queijo in my mouth. Forget about mozzarella sticks, these should be coined as the new snack! But then, I tried the ham and cheese and was so taken aback because I'm not sure if I can go back to a regular American ham and cheese sandwich again. Not only was the bread the same texture as the first mini pao, but the ham was cutely cubed in this oozing cheese and there were all these additional spices that made it feel like a dance was happening inside your mouth, it was incredible! And to top it all off, I've been on a pistachio flavored drink kick recently and knew I had to try the pistachio matcha latte. I swear it gave me my second wind of hope. All of a sudden I wanted to start jumping up and down or climb a mountain or something! The pistachio flavor complemented the matcha so well that I'm surprised not more places have such a drink! (North end might need to take notes!) This place is so worth trying, I know I'm definitely going back to try the rest of their breads! read more
Best breakfast food in Inman Square! I guess this place takes a Brazilian or Portuguese bakery inspiration in the building I remember as Highland Fried previously. Silky smooth ordering via Toast either online or at a kiosk. Good espresso drinks. My egg, potato, salad, and smoked salmon bowl was a nutritious way to start the day after kids dropped off. Service is very friendly but maybe a slight language barrier - Portuguese speaking - I had to explain that hot sauce includes Tabasco for example - not a problem just be ready to work with that barrier. Ambiance is super calming - jazz music, airy white tile decor with wood accents and indoor plants for greenery. read more

Delicious po de queijos and there's a variety of them to choose from! My favorite was the guava one and the small sandwich-like ones. I also ordered the gnocchi with some soup and unfortunately the container tipped over during delivery and spilled all over the bag and all the other food, which is why I'm rating it as is. Hoping to come back and try the food again while at the restaurant rather than ordering delivery, but also hope that the containers for soup are more sealed in the future! read more

Amazing Brazilian cafe with an extensive menu of food and drinks. We got the brazilian chocolate, and doce de leche po de queijos. They were both great, especially the doce de leite! However, I do wish the po de queijos were bigger because it cost around $4.55 for a small dough that you can finish in three bites. If you love matcha, you have to get their seasonal maple matcha lemonade which is interestingly really yummy given that I am an matcha enthusiasts and have a very high expectations for matcha beverages. The strawberry matcha with ginger lemonade on the other hand wasn't as yummy as the maple in my opinion. Overall, it is a cute cafe to visit with good food and beverage options and ample seatings. Very spacious cute place for a grab-and-go or hangout spot in Inman Square. Brazilian cheesy bread - garlic - smaller than I anticipated for $4? The bacon and egg sandwich was alright, but my highlight was the soft and creamy scrambled eggs. Probably the highlight of my meal. Can skip the fries. Quite the Coffee and latte options available. Variety of juices but my fav was the strawberry dragonfruit. Smoked brisket ramen noodle soup was Not quite the authentic ramen I expected but the smoked brisket was probably the most unique. The bowl was rather shallow so there wasn't quite a lot of slurping broth like a usual ramen. Also don't forget to grab a Christina's local ice cream next door! Lots of unique flavors. read more

I had ordered a few times on Uber Eats before going in person, and the food was always good. Trust me when I say it was even better in person. I went on a weekday and had no trouble finding seating, and was honestly surprised at how much seating was available. And how many had charging ports nearby! The service was quick and the food was very fresh. I got the crack chicken sandwich and the Mother Earth matcha latte, and both were delicious and filling. So good that I went home and took a nap after If you're not in the mood for a full meal, definitely recommend grabbing at least one or two of the pao de queijo in addition to the drink of your choosing (the strawberry matcha is probably my favorite). Definitely a must visit place in the area! read more
A lovely breakfast spot in East Cambridge! No line when we arrived on a Saturday morning around 9am and snagged a seat for dine-in. The menu is big, so I decided to first try one of their classics with the pao de quejio combo which came with fluffy scrambled eggs and arugula salad. The ingredients were fresh and the pao de quejio had great texture and flavor. I also enjoyed their hot chocolate and appreciated the small detail of letting customers choose between dark or white chocolate. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu and coffee next time! read more
WOW this place is incredible! Some of the best matcha around for sure. This place is very cute and I loved the self ordering kiosk they have up as an option. I got the iced strawberry matcha latte with oat milk to start and it was so incredible I drank it so fast and had to order a second drink. My second drink was the sparkling strawberry matcha lemonade and that one was incredible too! My berry mochi waffles were good and very filling, I wasn't even able to finish the whole waffle. I will definitely have to come back here in the future! read more

Bom Dough is Starbucks' prettier sister in the world of coffee shops (at least in Somerville/Cambridge). The space is bright, clean, and very well taken care of on top of having a great flow to how you order and sit down. The staff is super friendly and on top of the usual coffee and tea offerings, they feature a Brazilian-inspired menu with their cheesy bread and sandwiches. The star of the show is the po de queijo (cheesy bread bites), which are light and airy (and extremely difficult to make... I've done it before). They go perfectly with some of the drinks they have, and I also ordered the Wicked Smoked Brisket at the suggestion of the cashier/server. It's very well done, and I'm not a brisket guy. The balance of the flavors on the brioche bun made it a superb meal to go with my garlic po de queijo and chai spiced iced latte. It's only been open for 4 months or so, so it's still very much in it's infancy... but should NOT be discounted in how you view the quality or value to be had. I wish I lived closer or there was an easier way for me to get there, but alas, I will make the trek to enjoy some of these delicious cheesy treats in the near future. If you are a fan of coffee, cheese, or just a cool new place to check out - bom is indeed the bomb (bad joke/pun there, I know). It's a good value compared to some of the other well-known coffee houses in the area and I think they MAY have more to offer than any of the ones I've been to recently. Definitely keep your eye out for them in the blogs and Cambridge/Somerville food news. It wouldn't be tough to envision bom dough "blowing up" in the news and finding a large (if not cultish) following in the near future. Definitively worth wandering off the beaten Red Line to this new Inman establishment (and hopefully staple going forward). read more
Overall this place is a 4 but the strawberry matcha is delicious. I don't even like strawberry matcha and I'm addiction to this amazing drink. It's definitely on the sweeter side but man it's so good. The interior is the typical which cafe minimal aesthetic. The cashier and other workers are all friendly and make the food pretty quickly. I've had the Brazilian cheese bites and sandwiches here which were all decent but nothing too crazy. I am obsessed with the strawberry matcha. Bom dough is cute inside white and black tiled with live plants everywhere (must be so much work to keep them all healthy) They have a really cool selection of Kombucha on draft Large selection of loose leaf tea, coffee and interesting late flavors. I tried the lavender and it was really good. Great food, great service, highly recommend :) read more

AMAZING STUDY SPOT. There are lots of seats and outlets, great natural light, and best of all... good food. We tried the Traditional Pao De Queijo, Garlic Pao De Queijo, and Brisket sandwich. The Pao de Queijos were good: cheesy and chewy, but a bit expensive considering its size. The smoked brisket, pesto, and fresh mozzarella on a baguette was delicious! Their housemade bread was baked to perfection and was a wonderful vehicle to carry the delicious combination of brisket, mozzarella, pesto and arugula. Their teas were also delightfully aromatic! Crack Chicken-- 8.5/10 This sandwich on the brazilian bread was soooo goood. I want to go back just for the bread. Soft and chewy. Crack chicken sauce was delicious. Iced Latte- 6.5/10 The latte was alright. I wouldnt go back here for the coffee. Bitter and just average It was super busy inside when I went on a sunday morning. Lots of tables to sit.
