Fantastic, just fantastic experience. And hallelujah, Bill fixed my headlight! For the price of a good meal for two. SAD STORY LEADING TO B&B: For the last three consecutive Fridays, I took my car to three different repair shops to try to get my dang headlight fixed! At each shop I waited from two to four hours. One shop even charged me. And not one of the repair shops could figure out how to fix the headlight. Told me it would cost at least a thousand dollars. What?????? For one headlight???? I found Bill and B$B in Yelp. MIRACLE Bill is SUPER SMART! By that I mean he cracked the computer code on my car and worked with it like the car wizard he is and voila! I came in today to check why my AC wasn't blowing cold air. And they told me exactly what I needed to know about recharging Freon, they even were delicate with my plastic grill which has been falling apart and I have been holding on with zip ties. They even patched new zip ties for me without asking. They saw my filter needed to be replaced as well and clean up the area under my hood. They quoted me $45 for the recharge of Freon and $30 for my filter replacement. Which I think is fair a Freon can is usually about $30 and an AC filter is around $15. I was looking for an auto repair place for my air conditioning.. I should have heeded notice to the reviews left on google as reviews left by possible affiliates of B and B electric. Their hours are advertised on saturday at 9 am, I called on a thursday to double check and they said that it was. So i went on a saturday, 9 am rolled around and no one was there, i decided to wait a little longer, and finally at 9:45 am, no one showed up. During those 45 minutes, there were three cars that pulled in to the parking lot and then left because no one from B and B electric. I am a huge stickler for offering prompt service and B and B electric just lost out on 4 customers this past saturday morning. My suggestion? go to kerechuk on valley and garfield. I opted to go there instead and I can tell you that this is the first time that I even was impressed by a mechanic. Prompt service, great customer service, professionalism, reasonable pricing and they knew exactly what they were doing. Would of gave the place higher if they had taken my yelp check in, which was 10 bucks. They only took 5 bucks off it, which is pretty shady and misguiding. On the positive, it was cheaper than most places with 5 off - came to 45 for a smog check. Also service was quick, less than 20 minutes. read more

I went back today and talked to Bill, the store owner. He informed me of some misunderstanding and miscommunication with my mom (which is understandable because my mom's English is not very good). The explanations: 1. Regarding the cosmetics: they actually negotiated with my mom and gave her a huge discount for the repair, but in doing so, they were unable to purchase some components for the light to sit properly in the opening. 2. They thought my mom came in just for the cosmetic repair. Although I think they should have checked the entire damaged area and take it for a test drive before returning the car, I appreciate his willingness to help and make sure the car was safe to drive. Bill replaced the strut and charged me just for the part + tax. They also aligned the wheel for free. 3. Bill had the residual spray paint removed from the windshield, no extra cost as well. Overall, I gave them a 5 star, because I feel like I was heard as a customer and they wanted to fix the problem. I do feel bad that he didn't ask for labor compensation, but I'm also thankful because I have a lot of expenses from the accident. read more

The **3-M Brothers** (ie, Mosseau Brothers - Bill, Mike & Don) are simply the **BEST**!!! They are car mechanics that KNOW what they KNOW, and are GREAT at doing what they do know. Just as important, they are **HONEST** and willing to tell you when they come up against a situation where they are **NOT** the best equipped to work on your car. In a previous review (very lengthy, SORRY about that!), I detailed how Don Mosseau has been simply SUPERLATIVE in his ability (and LOTS of PATIENCE!!!) to keep my 1985 BMW 635 CSi / E24 (Euro Edition) passing smog check over the past 8 to 10 years and thus street legal and able to be registered. If it wasn't for Don, I'd probably have been forced to sell my car to another E24 enthusiast who lives outside the reach of California's smog regulations. The Mosseaus are great with both American and Japanese cars. Over the years that I've taken my 2 Hondas and 1 Toyota to them for various maintenance & repairs, they've always done excellent, top-notch work at very fair and reasonable prices. I've seen Bill do **COMPLETE / FULL RESTORATIONS** on classic American cars (Chevys & Fords, etc) - 1950's through 1970's models. I'm talking about "from the ground up" restorations - chassis, frame, engine, drive-train, electrical wiring, interior & exterior body work & paint that where the end product was simply **OUTSTANDING**. Getting back to my '85 BMW, since I take my Japanese cars to B&B and I know the M-Bro's and TRUST them, it's natural that I would also take my Bimmer to them. What is simply **GREAT** about the Mosseaus is that they **WILL** do the work that they are ABLE to. Recent examples over the past year of work that they did on the BMW was replacing a bad starter, fixing the central door-locking system (which I KNOW was a MAJOR, pain-in-ass time suck - THANKS MUCH Don!). My BMW is a manual / 5-speed. A couple of months back, I was having trouble with the clutch. After Bill checked it out, he told me that it was not the clutch per se, but the central hydraulic system which the clutch, the power brakes, and the power steering all ties into. He told me that was something **BEYOND** his experience to do a good job on and said that I should take it to a shop that was a BMW specialist, which I did. That's a perfect example of the kind of HONEST, NO-BS type of people that the Mosseau brothers are. If you live or work anywhere within a reasonable distance (which I think of as an approximately 5 to 10 mile radius) from their location and are looking for a great. honest, reliable & reasonably priced auto repair place to keep your cars working, you should check these guys out....you **NEED** to check these guys out! read more

On a random search for somewhere close to home to do my smog check, I came across B & B Auto Electric and decided to give them a try. I told them over the phone that I would be able to get there in 30 minutes and Don fit me right in. Everything was perfectly seamless. I pulled up, pulled in, went to grab a snack, came back in 20 minutes, and I was done. Not only that, but Don even helped me change my license plate light bulb. I called Kerechuk first to see if they have availability to do a smog check on my old beater. The guy who answered the phone had the best phone manners and customer engagement I have heard in a long time. Unfortunately for me, they didn't have a guy available until mid-Feb, so they immediately recommended B & B. When I called B & B, I wasn't quite sure about this shop because the person who answered the phone before I arrived wasn't quite exactly warm like the guy from Kerechuk. However, I came anyways considering it was just a smog check and the cost was fitting after doing some research online. After arriving, I still wasn't sure what to expect and relying on the yelp reviews was a bit hard for me because they didn't have too many. But still, willing to give them a shot. So turns out my car OBD didn't pass the smog test due to an EGR valve issue causing the engine light to come on. He also asked me a few questions as to what may have caused it. When Don explains to me to issue, I honestly was skeptical. But that's the consumer concern side of me asking myself 'am I being screwed here?' He gave me a cost estimate of the repair or diagnostic and possible explanations to the cause. Still skeptical, I hesitantly said that I'll bring my car back for the repairs. Coming back the second day, I now understand why people come here. They are a no-fuss team of brothers. Not big on small talk, but just from observing their little interactions with some of the other customers that are having services done, you can tell they have a loyal customer base. They even have cars waiting in their lot for repairs and other auto service work. Don explained to me the process and the timeframe and what to expect to reassure me. 3 hours later, my car was done and runs noticeably smoother than before I brought it in. And the engine light is gone. Thanks Don! I would definitely recommend people with car issues to come by. I came here to fix a battery drain on my car after seeing the stellar reviews and how close it was to my house. I was greeted by Bill and Don who were honest, and helped me fix my problems. I came in to the shop having my car diagnose for a short. It turned out Don was able to figure out it that that it was a loose nut from one of the battery cables, which he cleaned and tighten the nut for me. Gratiously, I gave him $10 for helping me out. In addition, I had him inspect my brake pads where he noticed the previous installer did not apply brake grease. Furthermore, he also showed me my rack and pinions were worn out. read more
