Before I could make a decision, one of my rotors unfortunately snapped while driving, and I immediately called P&W. They ordered the parts the same day and had my car fixed within about 5 hours, replacing all four brake pads and all four rotors for around $1100. This seemed reasonable compared to the BMW dealership quote of $800 for just the rear brake pads alone. Dennis also did a thorough inspection, pointed out a few future issues to keep an eye on, and told me he'd keep everything noted in my file for when I'm ready to tackle those repairs. During that visit, they also repaired one of my tires without clearly asking me beforehand. About a month later, I started hearing a strange noise coming from my right rear tire. After checking it, we discovered that there was a metal object loose inside the tire. I brought the car back to this shop because they were the ones who had previously worked on that tire. What upset me the most was their response. Instead of seriously considering whether the object could have been left inside during the previous tire repair, they told us that we must have put the metal object inside the tire ourselves. Why would a customer intentionally put a metal object inside their own tire? They removed the object, but still charged us another $30. I have the receipt and photos of the metal object that was removed from the tire. I cannot personally prove exactly when or how the object ended up inside the tire, but I can say exactly what happened: this shop worked on that same tire about a month earlier, the tire later developed a noticeable noise, a metal object was found loose inside it, and when we returned, the shop denied responsibility and accused us of putting it there ourselves. I was extremely disappointed with both the way this situation was handled and the accusation toward us. Based on my experience, I would not return.

Came down early around 9:45am my dad called the number to ask about pricing and Mr. Ngo mentioned he was running late (10:30am) due to traffic. We waited he showed up. Star smog check cost $55 ($46.75 smog + $8.25 certificate + $0 electronic transfer fee= $55) as of this review 12/2025. Reasonable as i have seen some star smog on yelp in west covina charging $65. Mr. Ngo went right to work, hooked up the car, filled put the necessary info and in about 15 minutes was done. Info sent to dmv and i was on my way. Recommend coming to LC smog for your star smog check needs.
