My car was stolen with both keys. Fortunately the car was recovered but keys are gone. After getting my car released from the tow company, I asked for help in Yelp, B&B is the one who responded me in minutes and their quote is reasonable. The communication with the owner - Alex is very efficient. Based on my requirement, he sent Matt for the on-site service. Matt called me 30mins in advanced and arrived just on time. He unlocked the door and reprogrammed the key. However,because my car's garage opener control panel was broken and wires were cut in the theft, the new keys remote did not work as expected. Matt suggested me to have my car been repaired first then try the key remote control again. If still has issue after the repair, just let him know. 6 weeks later, I got my car back. Unfortunately, the remote control still did not work. I contacted B&B again. Alex checked with Matt and sent him for the next day service. Again, I got 30mins in advanced notice from Matt before his arrival. As Matt explained, the reason it didn't work before was due to the cut wires from when they stole the car. I got a Schlage encode installed. The customer service was responsive and sent a technician out quickly. The lock was eventually installed well (thanks Jesse!). The 1 star is for the rude customer service lady and because I was charged a fee for a mistake their first technician did. Fully story: - First technician came and installed the lock and rekeyed another to use the same key in less than an hour. But they installed the lock in the wrong direction. - I asked them to switch the directions and they said they can swap it pretty quickly. - While swapping it, the lock stopped working. They spent the next hour trying to fix it. Turns out one of the pins on the lock got bent, presumably when they were changing the direction of the lock. - I bought another lock and another technician came back to install the re-ordered lock. They were abler to install it pretty quickly since everything was setup. I am trying to return the previous one. Hopefully, the seller doesn't charge me for it now. At the end, I was charged the high end of their quote and the reason was that they had to send the technician twice and spend a 2-3 hours instead of 1 hour. When I called to ask why I was being charged for 3 hours, I was rudely told that I shouldn't be complaining since it is the high end of the original quote. When I asked why I was being charged for the extra 2 hours, I was told that it was because I provided a defective lock. This is completely incorrect since the first technician made a video of the lock working when they installed it in the wrong direction. Instead of acknowledging that the technician might have broken it or giving an apology for it (which I didn't even bring up originally), I was instead charged for it! The reduced the price by $50 as a result of my call. It is not about the charge amount itself, but the rudeness and the false narrative that has left a very sour taste in my mouth. read more

We had Alex and his team come to our old Victorian house to change out some 100+ year old locks with modern ones since they were starting to fall apart. They also widened some holes for old doors so modern hardware could be installed, as well as typical rekeying and adding additional deadbolts to doors in our home. Changing out the front door locks was quite an extensive process/ job but now our doors also open and close better than when we moved in and they look so much better. The reason why we picked them is Alex seemed hands down the most knowledgeable about old buildings and asked the most questions to give a fair quote. The ignition on my wife's motorcycle froze up yesterday. We tried graphite powder, WD-40, compressed air - we couldn't get it to turn no matter what.
