Our friends spoke very highly about his place... Upon entering I watched cockroaches crawl across the floor! The building is old and in need of a lot of basic upkeep. Breakfast was fine, nice portions for the price. Service was not great. Everyone working here looked tired, overworked or underwhelmed to be there. Not a welcome environment, with the except of the elderly man who greeted us! Bathroom and entire building needs a good cleaning and repairs. The final straw was when the waitress made a point to humiliate our friend for a $3 dollar tip... I told her he'd just had a stroke and she said "oh, well he should've left more." Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional! Honestly question if we will return again. read more

The food was good and huge portions for about as cheap as you can find. Very friendly staff and service was good. I had to use the restroom before we left. This was where I decided I'd probably not be back. Bathroom was pretty bad and I don't even want to know what was on the walls. Wasn't going to judge the place for being a dump, but I was kind of grossed out by the restroom and just not sure at this point how clean the kitchen is? To be fair It was good food and didn't have any tummy troubles after I left... lol. But visions of that particular area of the establishment have prevented me from going back. read more

Great service and fabulous pecan pancakes, bacon, & eggs! Just order one pancake, because it's the size of the plate! A previous review was spot on when she said not to judge this place by the outside appearance. Although the inside isn't going to win any awards either, I'll tell you what will. The food is second to none, as is the service! The nicest people you'll ever meet work here and the patrons were all just as friendly. We had the pecan pancakes and be warned that one is all you need. It's the size of the entire plate and thicker than any pancake you ever had. I guarantee it! OMG...What a great breakfast! Such a friendly staff. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with biscuits & gravy, hash browns, and a pecan pancake. Yes I was hungry. The biscuit was fresh out of the oven! My wife and I couldn't sleep well at our Airbnb so we looked up breakfasts in the area. And to our surprise, we found this little gem 5 minutes away. Food was simple but so good. Sausage biscuits m, pancakes,, eggs and more. Everyone was so nice and talkative for 5:30am and that made it unique. read more

This was a little mom and pop country restaurant. Everything was fresh and homemade the people were really friendly and very down to earth.

Don't let the outside fool you this place serves good food. We went in for breakfast and we're not disappointed. I got 2 biscuits and gravy with bacon. It is not sausage gravy but if you ask they will crumble sausage in it. The portion was huge and it tasted really good. We also got scrambled eggs and bacon with a biscuit and 2 drinks. The staff is very friendly and everything was served quite fast. Customers were friendly and we talked to almost everyone in there. Don't let the appearance fool you, this restaurant has great food. It's almost always packed for breakfast and lunch. We usually have breakfast there on the weekend. My husband likes to get an omlette and french toast while I have a pancake and scrambled eggs. This a genuine hole-in-the-wall family run restaurant cooking grandma's recipes. Last time I saw her, quite some time ago, she was in a wheelchair. I'm afraid she might have died.
