I was highly disappointed with my visit to this place. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered the Tavern Ham and Cheddar with a side salad. It took forever to get our food. When we finally got our food, my husband got his burger and coleslaw, and I got my house side salad... no toasted hoagie sandwich yet... and so I waited again. Finally, my sandwich arrived a few minutes later, brought by the cook, who had made a comment earlier about "my meal was coming" - so unprofessional, by the way. When my sandwich arrived, it was not on a toasted bun, and there was no butter on it. I also didn't get a side with pickles; it was a cold hoagie. I was so disappointed with my meal that I had to tell the restaurant staff. They nicely comped my meal; however, I will not return to this establishment. The cook was unprofessional in talking to me out loud, and my server never apologized for the food taking so long... so disappointing. read more

Burger was overcooked and super greasy. The young girls working were more interested in goofing off in the kitchen than providing service. I could hear them laughing pretty much continuously from the bar. Sound system was pretty low quality as well. If you're going to play loud music at least have it sound good. read more

My best friend and I sat at the bar and had an awesome experience. We asked for a football game to be turned on and Grace swiftly and most thankfully put it on the tv. Savannah is a totally dog friendly place which is a good thing since we were traveling with our pups. After shopping on Brighton St. we sat down outdoors at D& B Burgers. It was my husband's choice. Box checked and it had outdoor seating for us with the dogs. Box checked The server was really nice and brought our dogs a bowl of water right away. I was worried there might not be anything for me to eat since typically burger places only have beef burgers. I do not eat red meat so I was pleasantly surprised to see turkey burgers, & veggie burgers on the menu. You can make a whole lotta combos with all of their burgers. You can get all different types of sauces, cheeses, fries, onion rings etc. They even have gluten free buns! I had a turkey burger with onion rings. The burger was tasty & the onion rings lightly fried. The server told me they have a company that make the turkey burgers for them. I thought it was pretty good. My husband had a beef burger & fries. He enjoyed his as well. Overall, with or without your canine companion D & B is a good solid burger place. We picked this restaurant because we were traveling with picky children. We saw their kids menu online and chose the path of least resistance. It was a Tuesday night at 5, and it was very quiet. The server was very kind and helpful. The onion rings were a little greasier than I would prefer, so I'd just get fries next time. The fried green tomato sliders were good, but the pimento cheese hides the flavor of the tomatoes a bit. I really liked my experience at BND burgers we went for lunch, and it was calm and inviting the ambience was fantastic. My food was good. I went with a traditional burger with bacon and onion rings and barbecue sauce. I can't remember the name but it definitely was delicious. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The homemade ranch was pretty good too. Although this wasn't the best burger I've ever had almost definitely a solid burger, one of the better ones in the Savannah area. I think this place is more catered to lunch than dinner, because of the simplicity of the menu with burgers and sliders, but they do have a bar as well that you can get drinks if you want. read more

While on the trolley tour, our guide drove by a few restaurants that she indicated were local favorites. When we got off the trolley and walked along Jones Street to enjoy the beauty, we wove our way back to this local fav. We both got burgers. I chose the build your own so I could get sautéed onions on mine. Burgers come with lettuce, tomato, raw onions, and pickles,... and toasted buns. I upgraded to onion rings. Husband had the Telfair burger (basically bacon cheese) and he upgraded to curly fries. Both burgers were very good. Onions rings were crispy with just the right amount of batter. Service was very good. I love the big glass of water they handed out as well. Good stop. I see why the locals like this place. read more

I will never go back to the Broughton street location although we enjoy b&d. As a local and someone whose been going to all there locations and has had a great experience here in the past I'm disappointed in how we were treated. The staff was rude and disrespectful. We went to eat there this evening and a gentleman who I believe to be the manager and a waitress were beyond rude to my family. I was excited to go as they had just reopened after renovating but after today's experience I will go to the other locations. The waitress or who I believe was a waitress was so rude and disrespectful made it look bad for all B&D locations. If I wasn't a local I'd probably believe all locations were like this. Honestly I'm disappointed in the experience. A little backstory there was one table in the whole restaurant full we asked two tables could be moved together to the gentleman was the manager, and they said we can't do that it will be too crowded. They could've moved us to the back rather than trying to see us at two tables. On top of that being as empty as they were the waitress or bartender, I'm not sure what she was was disrespectful and rude when we said we were not going to stay because they could not accommodate moving two tables together in an empty restaurant, she said bye in a slick voice, and said you can leave. that's what we did we left. There are way too many restaurants in Savannah to feel unwelcome. read more

Seven of us lunched here recently. I found it expensive for such a casual place, a burger and fries (pictured) was $17, chicken tenders and fries $13, (pictured, I substituted onion rings for 1.50 more). The only negative comments were the gator bites had minced gator and not much of it and they didn't mention $1 if upgraded from side house to caesar salad. Speaking of salad, the 2 people who got salads, one house, one caesar said they were great and the person with the burger said every bite was worth the 17 dollars. My chicken tenders were huge, but more like a thick, crunchy fried chicken batter, neither of which I prefer in a chicken tender. The onion rings were good, but not much flavor to the same batter I do when make homemade. I gave it four stars because everyone else was so happy, but I would have given it a 3.5 if alone. They had plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard. read more

I visited the establishment on a Saturday at 3pm. It wasn't crowded but it wasn't dead. I ordered the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and for my entree, I chose the Broughton cheeseburger with the upgraded fries of the month which were the beer battered fries. Service was mediocre, it took a couple of minutes to be seated. Once seated, it took a couple more minutes to get our drink order but the waitress promptly came back with our drinks and took our food order. She returned with the mozzarella sticks that were served in a bowl with marinara sauce in a plastic to-go container, no appetizer plates. They were on Chili's level of taste and were nice and toasty but the sauce lacked flavor. Next for the Broughton burger. Now this burger's quality of beef was fresh and seasoned great and the bun was top quality. They let you put on your own condiments but I wished they had a traditional thousand island-like spread as an option. The fries were hot but beer battered, they were not. My wife had fries also and they looked and tasted just like hers but I digress. All in all, the food is pretty good. The service, meh. For $18 a burger, I was expecting a little bit more. read more

The coleslaw was typical coleslaw; pretty good. The sliders were good, but a little too salty. The server was pleasant and very accommodating with our needs of cutlery, sauces, and napkins. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent, fries were really good and so were the chicken tenders. We were told when we put our name on the wait list that it would be 25 min. Within 5-7 minutes they called so, we went back. They said that they only had 2 servers so, they were slower. The servers could have easily handled more. It seemed like it was the kitchen that was not able to keep up. It took almost 25 minutes to get food and there were only 4 tables. I wanted a burger and happened to come across this restaurant while exploring the area. After a night of heavy drinking and being slightly hungover, I was happy that this place was laidback and not loud. Since I was traveling solo, I opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was so nice, I guess it's what you call Southern Hospitality. After reviewing the menu, I placed my order. A Strawberry Daiquiri and The Telfair Burger ( Bison and Curly Fries). The Telfair burger comes with Cheddar Cheese and Bacon. I was also provided with the option to add Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, and Pickles, and of course, I did. As recommended, I ordered the Bison medium, and it was juicy! The burger was good. The fries of the day were the Curly Fries, and they were well seasoned. B&D Burgers has a few locations, and I have not had great experiences at their other restaurants. I was skeptical when a friend asked me to dine here, but I figured I would give it a try. We went at 6:30 PM on a Friday, and when I walked in, the restaurant was empty. There were only 1 or 2 other tables in the back of the restaurant and my friends were at the bar. We moved to a table before I ordered from the bar, however the bartender waited on our table. I ordered the corn nuggets as an appetizer, and the bean burger/ veggie burger with fries as the meal. The one thing I like about B&D Burgers is the corn nuggets. This is unique to them! The bean burger was good, nothing special but tasted great. The fries were crispy and delicious! To drink, I ordered the Tybee Tea. It was VERY strong with alcohol taste. As for Covid practices, I only saw one associate wearing a mask. I did not see anyone disinfecting tables or chairs, and there were no noticeable marking that certain tables or sections were closed. I saw a hand sanitizer station at the front, however did not use it. Minus 1 star for not abiding by the city mask requirement. read more

It is the next morning after our attempts at having dinner at B & D Burgers. We arrived in Savannah and were getting a quick bite before a Ghost Tour. We popped in here, even though most burgers start at $15. What? 5 minutes after ordering, or meals arrived. Okay folks, I think I have a high tolerance for screw-ups, but this place gets the Gold Star. I remarked about how fast my burger and wife's chicken tenders arrived. There is a good reason for that. Read on. My burger was waaay overcooked. My fries were cold and soggy. Wife's chicken and fries were cold. In talking to the Manager, the truth came out. B &D PRE-COOKED our food, then finished it when we ordered. The Manager claimed, the busy St. Patrick's day weekend made them prepare in advance. It was totally inedible. The Manager apologized, offered a re-do, which we refused. We walked out hungry. The only Ghost we witnessed was our stomachs growling from no food. WARNING WARNING; Stay way clear of B & D burgers. It should be called B A D burgers. I'm appalled by this restaurant's attempt to serve us this crap. read more
