I'm going to be honest the two guys I was talking to are very friendly and nice , I bought a cheap Schwinn bike from swap shop and wanted a tune up . They informed me to save my money and I appreciate them for that . Walking in I saw some bikes and he showed me some bikes on sale for 390$ . He said some we're 600 and more , probably assuming I am broke , but I shrugged it off . I got wealthy by being smart with my money, so I'm always looking for a deal. Remember the 390$ part . I was ready to purchase , had my debit card out ready and all . I hear some scuffling in the back and another guy comes out of nowhere and rings me up for 490$ and he is going to give me a 40$ discount. Total came up to 490$. The other guy who informed me 390$ was hiding in the back the whole time . Is this how you treat your customers? If he would've came to the front and informed the guy that he did tell me 390$ and that he made a mistake I would have purchased the bike to be honest . This guys is probably thinking look at this black guy they all are cheap or something, I am pretty sure of it . I just moved from Brooklyn, NY & purchased a home in the area and I have a thriving business in the area as well . Was really interested in a bike because I want to stay in shape like I was in Brooklyn. I would never treat any of my customers like that . read more

I realized the other day I had a bad stem on my back tires tube so I wanted to bring it into a shop and get it replaced(I know, I could do it myself but way easier to get it done at a shop). I was in pompano and searched for a good bike shop nearby. I already had shops I liked in other parts of town but didn't know what was best around here. Lucky for me, Yelp noted that B&J was solid and nearby. I stopped in later in the evening and hadn't called ahead. I walked in to the smaller but full of Bikes shop. A fella was workin away on a bike in the back. I figured he was too busy for my small issue. But when I asked he said sure, he would do it now. He grabbed my bike and I wandered about the shop. It was organized with all the proper things you might need in a bike store, jerseys, water bottles, and a good assortment of energy gels and such. But before I had time to really consider buying something I probably didn't need, he was done. Crazy fast. It cost a couple dollars more than I'm used to but it was great service. I settled up and was on my way. I'm happy to know a great bike store in this part of town now. read more

SCAMMERS! The worst unethical salesmen! They are price gouging and ripping ppl off. Do not go if you're a woman alone! They just yelled at me in front of a line of ppl who stood up for me because they sold me a helmet $20 more than advertised and I asked them to price match. They refused to return my money and yelled at me telling me to happy I even was able to get a helmet with how busy they are. Then another salesman came out and told me two different prices. When I pointed it out, he stuck to the higher price. Not right to take advantage of a woman alone and price gouge during a pandemic especially if they expect return business once businesses reopen. Hopefully they will clean up their act when business is back to normal and treat women respectfully. I will never be returning here! EVER! read more

I was in Pompano Beach to visit with friends that were renting a condo ocean side. I stayed at an Airbnb just 2 1/2 miles away from my friend's condo and decided instead of renting a car I would check out bike rentals in the area. The guys at B&J gave me a great rate for a five day rental and even let me mount my mirror on the bike. They even mounted my lock holder for me and when I brought the bike back helped me remove my stuff. The bike was great for the area (a mountain bike) and cycling was a great way to get around with all the traffic. I have rented from bike shops before that have complicated on line rental reservation systems in place. The guys at B&J simple system of "Yes sure we remember talking to you" worked much better. Stopped by looking for a bike for my wife and she found a Trek Hybrid she really liked. Vinnie was very accommodating. He asked what she was generally looking for (comfort, exercise, etc) and helped us and got the exact height she needed for the seat, fine tuned the handlebars, installed the water bottle holder, and threw in a kickstand. While we were at it, I brought my 30+ year old Schwinn mountain bike in that had rotted tires and a rusty chain, and he threw in the tune up and changed the tires and tubes also. My first ride on it was like the day I got it back in 1989. Now we can get exercise during the pandemic. Great job to Vinnie and his team! read more

Had to get a tune up and tried these guys due to groupon. The shop was a little hard to find- my GPS took me the wrong way. I called the shop and I was only a block west of them. It's in a strip mall near a pizza Hut and a dry cleaners. It's a little run down from the outside but they have a ton of awesome bikes inside. The service was great! They took my bike, scanned my groupon, and had it ready in a couple hrs. They did a great job, the bike needed a ton of adjustments and it rides like new! read more

Pick up today different style wheel, initially no tube and tire. Now have different wheel and tire. I recently came with my husband and mom to buy bikes and they were great!! The helped us figure out which bike would be perfect for each of us and let us try them out out back of the store! They hooked up a bike rack to my jeep which had been customized so they went ABOVE AND BEYOND and drove to get me an extender for the bike rack to fit over my tire!!!!!!
