He also suggested we sand and stain the upstairs floor rather than replace it saving us money and the floor looked like new! We were having a plumber install a new stovetop and discovered the granite was 1/4 inch too small. We had no work done relating to granite, but called Ibrahim and he was able to get a professional out there the next day so we could continue with the install quickly. Ibrahim acted as a general contractor and was able to keep our project moving especially in our tight timeline of 4 weeks to get the house ready to put on the market. Summary: I would NEVER use this contractor again…read more I purchased my flooring from Floor & Decor and was STRONGLY encouraged to use their contractors - Installation Made Easy - which turned to be Angel Superior Flooring (ASF). The estimator, Rosie, said we had just over 1,000 sq ft and the installers would do 200-300 sq ft per day so we estimated 5 days. We planned to be out of town for a week starting April 17. We discovered that ASF would not paint the molding - we paid them to move all of the furniture (about $700) and put it all back when they were done, but that would leave us with heavy furniture against a wall that would need to be moved again for the painter. Grrr. We decided that ASF would leave the furniture away from the walls and then the painter would come in, paint the molding, and put the furniture back. It's heavy wood furniture and we're too old to be dealing with it. We scheduled all of the material to be delivered from F&D for April 16. On the morning of April 16, one of the ASF installers showed up ready to start work. We sent him away since we had no material and he was a day early. F&D delivered the material shortly before noon on the 16th. The missed the shoe molding required for this project so I phoned and had it scheduled for the next day. The next day, the molding showed up before ASF did so we were back on track. The shopping list that ASF gave us was for 255' of shoe molding. It comes in 16' pieces so F&D sold us 16 pieces. We left on our trip. I discovered on my trip that my Internet went out. It acted like the T-Mobile gateway was unplugged. I had left explicit instructions for them not to unplug it because we have things that need Internet (like our irrigation system). I texted ASF on Monday morning asking them to plug it back in again when they got and was told the job was already completed - they went for speed and not quality. They said they didn't touch the gateway. They lied - it was unplugged at the gateway end so they likely knocked it off the shelf, it became unplugged, they put it back and didn't say anything. That was the least of our problems... The painter showed up the Friday while we were gone to finish painting the shoe molding. He texts me pictures showing scuff marks all over the floor - he noticed this before he even started painting. So I texted ASF and they said they'd send somebody over on Saturday to clean them up. We got home from our trip 2 days early on Saturday night. I see scuff marks all over a filthy floor. I pulled the electronic door lock logs and see that they were here for 6 minutes. So they walked in, looked around blindly, and didn't do a darn thing and left. My wife spent a good part of Sunday vacuuming and mopping the floor. We then spent time with postit notes beside every scuff mark and a couple of dents on the floor and told them to come back and fix them. We also emptied out the cardboard from our garbage can and put it in the recycle can, and we finished picking up the garbage that they left outside. Our neighbor had already picked some off the driveway and some out of our garden. The painter immediately noticed that there was a mixture of shoe molding and quarter-round used for the project. One of the closets didn't have either shoe molding or quarter-round! I asked ASF and they said they ran out of shoe molding. Their supervisor, Ivan, said they only used quarter-round in the closets where it wouldn't be noticeable. I pointed out that part of the master bedroom had shoe molding and part had quarter-round. The hallway also had a mix facing each other. They matched the corner joints by slathering silicone over them. Ivan said they used 50-60' of quarter-round so they either missed the estimate by over 20% or F&D didn't deliver what I paid for. I'll never know which it was. The supervisor offered to replace the quarter-round with shoe molding. However, it would be OUR expense to buy the shoe molding, and OUR expense to have it repainted. I told him we weren't going to do that but I wasn't happy about it. When they came today, they cleaned up all of the marks with acetone, did a nice job on the shoe molding in the closet (they were struggling to get around shelving in there), and ended up replacing 1 tile that was dented. Ivan tried to say that it wasn't dented at all and it was my imagination, and the flooring guy today tried to say somebody else must have dented it - but there was nobody home between the time they left and when it was found. He then said it must have come that way from F&D and that it wasn't noticed during the install. ASF opened the packages and ASF put the flooring down. They need to pay attention to what they're installing. The master bedroom closet had a larger dent but to fix it would have meant removing and replacing the molding so we left it. Again, why did they install a dented piece in the corner of a closet? Overall, we have a new floor and we've made our final payment. But I can't say we're happy.

JB Murphy builds cabinets the way it "should be" done. The workshop looks like its supposed to look…read morelike. There's no fancy showroom, no glitz or sparkles. This company is hardworking, reliable and easy to work with. The cabinets they built for our home are pristine, solid wood and exactly as I requested. What's best? Our cabinets don't look old fashioned or out of style....they look like classic, well built, stand the test of time cabinets that are worth every penny. You won't be disappointed.

Murphy built and delivered beautiful cabinets executed exactly to our specifications. We are beyond happy. But, to really understand the kind of people they are to work with, I have to tell the story of our medicine cabinet. Before construction, they sent me the specs for the medicine cabinet. I ok'd them and told them at the time that I would install it when I finished the containing wall. The job was completed, medicine cabinet delivered and I paid in full for the job. While installing the medicine cabinet, I discovered a 3/4" gap between the back of the cabinet and the backing drywall. I called Justin and asked about it. He said it was that much to leave room for wires behind the cabinet. I told him that I wished I had noticed that before, because I routed all the wiring around the cabinet and not behind it, and I would have requested the extra half inch of cabinet depth for shelf space. At that time, despite the fact that I had formally ok'd the shallower cabinet and already paid in full, he offered to remake the cabinet to my wishes at no extra charge. I was astonished, for I was negligent in not noticing the shallower depth, and they had been paid in full. Bottom line: J.B. Murphy builds high quality cabinets and really do care about customer satisfaction. I highly recommend them.

I called the office to find that he was still in the shop, not even on the way or trying to make the appointment anywhere near on-time. I feel like I dodged a bullet with these people. If you don't show up, not even call to say you're running late, or to reschedule the appointment, you are showing who you really are. It demonstrates a blatant disregard for the customer's time, shows a lack of common courtesy, and is a red flag that you can't be trusted to behave in a trustworthy and professional manner.

Everything else was a struggle, and it cost us quite a bit more than our original quote because Dudley never answered our questions about costly details except to say "we'll take care of it." Again, the work done by Travis was amazing -- see photos -- but we paid almost $3000 more than the original quote because Dudley never gave us prices on anything we asked about, specifically leveling our very uneven concrete floors. One problematic doorway transition was never addressed except Dudley's "we'll take care of it." Dudley came over several times to look at it -- with no specific resolution discussed -- today he told us that transition would be an additional charge. No thanks. So now, almost five months after starting the process, our whole-house flooring job is not complete because the hardwoods are covered in smears of glue -- and we have no transition in the big doorway -- but we've already gotten three invoice notices! (And speaking of invoices, they don't accept any credit cards for payment, only cash and checks.) I'm not sure if it's because this is such a small shop and Dudley is disorganized or if this is the way he always does business, but I'd recommend you go elsewhere for flooring in Georgetown. Other than master craftsman Travis, we do not recommend Quality Carpets & Floors.

I hired Advanced Tile Solutions to re-do the flooring in my new construction home prior to me…read moremoving in to it about two years ago. Since then, it's been an uphill battle trying to rectify the massive amount of damage the company and the owner caused to my home. First, the owner, Albert, was never around to supervise his employees. I know nothing of the flooring industry but when his team wasn't even using tile spacers and left the grout lines uneven I started calling the owner to come supervise his employees. His response? "You can supervise them yourself, it's your house and they should listen to you". The extent of the damage doesn't stop there. The grout itself was mixed wrong so it immediately started flaking. There were sheetrock damages to some of my walls where his employees had run equipment into them and left holes. The baseboards were painted over with the wrong color, cracked, and left damaged. My counters in the kitchen and my bathroom were damaged and the only good thing I can say is that at least the owner paid to get those fixed. Let's talk about the stairs next. My stairs started falling apart within the month that they were tiled. The pictures I uploaded show that there is no tile on the stairs even though the owner promised to fix them almost two years ago and still has not. I have several text and email conversations with him promising me that "in time" he would fix them. Again, it's going on two years and he hasn't completed the project and has resorted to screening and avoiding my calls, meanwhile, the concrete board that goes below the tile on the stairs keeps falling apart. To add to all this, I bought over $6000 worth of materials that he used and I haven't even received a reimbursement on the materials so I could at least hire another company to demo and re-do my home. I have a signed contract with him promising a one year warranty on all his work that he has yet to make good by, which, by Texas legal standards, is completely illegal so it looks like I'll have to take him to court now. In a nutshell, my entire home needs to be re-done and the owner is taking no responsibility to fix it. He did try running it through his insurance but his insurance provider didn't cover the damages because it was so negligently done and they don't cover negligence. Until the owner takes responsibility of the damages caused to my home I would say look elsewhere for a true professional.
