Made my way out to BJ's Grill on a Tuesday for my birthday dinner. It's on the main business strip in Stokesdale. When I arrived, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to seat myself or order at the counter so I waited in the line at the register for a couple folks to check out. Just FYI: You can sit anywhere. The inside is pretty plain with some cheeky signs about food, religion, and politics. The server didn't seem particularly interested in the level of service she gave. Though I could that friends and regulars were treated better than I was. I ordered a hot dog and a cheeseburger. The food was prepared in a standard amount of time. The hot dog was ok. Toasted bun was nice but the chili flavor wasn't my favorite. I wish the cole slaw had had a bit more flavor. The burger was pretty good though. Put together well, well-seasoned, good flavor. All in all, an OK experience. read more

Good food and good service. We enjoy this small hometown restaurant. We had an egg sandwich, a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and a side of hasbrowns. If you go early in the morning, you get the local small town feeling - a bunch of regulars who meet up for a meal. read more

Had breakfast and it was terrible. Plastic fork and paper plate, styrofoam cups. Price for concentrate orange juice $3.50, yikes in a styrofoam cup, really. Eggs were over done when asked for over easy. Bacon was over cooked (deep fried) burnt! Tried to over charge for hash browns that were included in the meal. Toast had fake squeezed margarine. I felt really ripped off. Will never go there again!!! read more

We ordered burgers and fries and the kids got hot dogs and chicken fingers. The food was hot, tasty and served quickly. The staff is super friendly. The prices are very reasonable as well. They have recently reopened and the daughters have taken over for their dad. It's been remodeled and it's clean, well decorated, with plenty of room to spread out. We are excited to make this our new local go to place without having to make the drive into Greensboro. read more

This place is like a 1,000 other places in North Carolina - a complete, local dive that serves a very nice chili dog, and a pretty good cheeseburger, as well - and it is pretty much limited to those items. There is no ambiance, no funk - just a worn, threadbare place, inside & out. There are a few tables, with bench seats - the rectangular kind you find in church kitchens and rec areas. No posters, pictures, or much of anything on the walls, and it is rather dimly lit - a feeling of clutter amid the emptiness. But, they offer a good dog - nice, meaty chili with some flavor; a southern style weiner, and a soft bun. I like this hot dog - and for 99 cents you have a nice buy. The burger is solid, not huge but decently sized, with some crust on the outside from the grill, and good flavor. The FF are just awlful - the frequently encountered ridged kind - no flavor, limp, undercooked. Nice place for a quick, on the fly, burger or dog - and inexpensive. read more

A great place to get burgers and hot dogs with all the fixing's. Wonderful grilled foods, fries, Tater tots, hush puppies and onion rings.

Good food and good service... What more can you ask for? Their double bacon cheeseburgers are delicious, but if you're trying to watch your weight then try their grilled chicken salad... they're real good too. During this Coronavirus pandemic, you can only order takeout. Each time we've ordered it's typically taken no more than 15 minutes to get it. The ladies that bring the food out to your car are always upbeat and friendly. Wish more people were that way. read more

Poor service, would have preferred fast food. Long wait (30 minutes for a hamburger, which was partially frozen). The hamburger alone without any fries or a drink was $4! (Cook Out allows for a $5 meal with a larger, fully cooked burger, 2 sides, and a large drink!)Wait staff appeared to be charismatic, but continued to be ignored without service for upwards of 15 mins. Would not recommend. If you're really craving a hamburger or something of the likes, find your nearest chain "Cook Out" for faster, cheaper, and overall better experience. read more

Very poor service. Waited over 30 minutes for a burger while other so-called regulars on a first name basis with the staff got their orders even though we were there well before them. Can't rate the food because we got so disgusted after the long wait that we left. If you expect good service whether you are a regular or not, please stay away from this place. read more

This place is off the chizain. It is the absolute most ballin restaurant that has ever been on the face of the earth. Everyone should eat here at least twice a day. read more
