The woman sent me a text from her personal phone when she thought the owner wasn't looking. Then he caught her and started yelling at her. I never fully understood what was going on but it made me feel very uncomfortable. He kept saying this was why no one ever came back. Honestly, I wont come back because of the argument but I had already decided I wasn't going to come back anyway because the salon was very dirty. So my girlfriend called to get her nails and toes done, mind you it's 8 o clock so I get it is a little late but still the girl even called us back to see if we were coming. We get there and once again the girl verifies and says she has someone coming. We wait 30 minutes and an old man shows up and begins giving doing her feet, well halfway through he says she can't get her nails done without an appointment. So at that point I'm done with the whole situation and we pay 40$ for him to clean her feet. Go to Urbane on expressway. Way better than here. read more

I came here yesterday to get pedicures with my husband (his first pedi). They weren't busy and got us right in. I rarely see anyone in this place. I just wanted a good, basic pedicure and I didn't want to drive very far from my house, so that's what we got. It was $22 each, despite their prices listed on the wall. I wasn't impressed with their color selection, but all I ever get is pink anyway and they had a lot of that, so no biggie. The two women there and the one man were extremely nice. It was very quiet with one tv on and one other client. Alex, who did our peds, told us they were understaffed, so my husband waited forever to get his first pedi started. We had nothing else to do though, so that was no problem. They did great jobs on our pedicures. Alex actually gave us true pedicures. She trimmed stuff off, pushed back cuticles, used the pumice stone etc. My husband said he'd go back to get another one and I will definitely be back. My only dumb complaints are that the staff just spoke excessively and my girl didn't apply a top/clear coat to my nail polish (but I assume she was just distracted by all the talking she was doing). A lot of people like to carry on conversations during services rendered, so if that doesn't bother you then I definitely recommend this place. I just prefer to relax and reflect instead of having a full blown conversation. Overall, this was a nice and quiet little place with friendly staff who made sure everything was good with us. My friend and I went in and only Helen was there. We only had a set amount of time and asked if someone else was working as we wanted pedicures and I wanted a manicure. Helen told us someone else would be right back so we stayed. She ran pedicure water and started my friend. Mine was too hot and when I brought it to Helen's attention she said "it will cool off" and did nothing (didn't even turn my jets on). She was upset because I wanted the cheapest pedicure and my friend the most expensive. Kept trying to talk me into more expensive pedi. Helen completed friends ped, turned my jets on then. 1 minute later she sat in front of me. Asked where her help was and got no answer. I mainly wanted manicure as I had a pedi a month or so ago and we were on a time schedule. I cancelled pedi and this made Helen really mad. She told me my feet looked bad and told my friend too and asked her if we had time. I had to tell her that it was MY decision not my friends and I wanted a mani. I should have just left because mani was rough. Used electric tool to remove top layer of old gel polish, never used polish remover and polished over old polish. Electric tool kept getting hot and burned me several times. She didn't ask what shape I wanted my nails which were round. She filed them square and then rounded them so they are much shorter now. She was rough- poking her fingernail into my flesh, jerking my arm and my fingers. I have arthritis in hands and this was very painful. She didn't care because she was mad even though SHE LIED TO US! No one ever showed up before we left. Will NEVER return!!! read more
