Liked this place till I was just told that I'm a "security risk," and that's why they wanted my credit card (cc) number for a meal plan order because they couldn't find me in the system. If you need my cc is one thing, but to tell me you need it because I'm a "security risk" is why you need it, it's really messed up to tell your customer. Nice place nestled along Tyler just north of the 10 fwy and the El Monte Aquatics center. Easy to find parking behind it, or on the street. Been hearing good things about it, and even though their grand opening is August 1st, I decided to come in for some grub. I got their pineapple Shrimp fried rice, which had enough flavors of both pineapple and shrimp, with neither overpowering the other, making for a decent taste of flavor. I got mine with brown rice, as you're given the option of white or brown rice. Here's where I'm docking them a star. When I looked at the receipt, there was a 50c charge for brown rice. If you look at their menu, there's no indication that you have to pay for brown rice. It just says you have the option of white or brown rice. The lady taking my order didn't mention it costs 50c more either. The heck? So I talk to the guy now manning the register as I leave. He's like, oh, yeah, we charge 50c more for brown rice.
