It couldn't have come at a more perfect time as we were looking for a new person to cut our 6.5 year old son's hair. We arrived a little earlier than our schedule appointment time but Mustapha welcomes us and took us in early. There were other barbers working away along with the owner Mrs. Belinda. The inside of the shop is clean and well maintained. There was a young man (it happened to be his first day of work- I think he was high school age) working hard and sweeping all hair up around the barbers chairs. Mrs. Belinda the owner was cutting a little boy's hair, first haircut, I think the child was a little over a year old. Her manner was so kind and sweet, the little boy didn't cry and his haircut went well! We showed photos to Mustapha of what Ian was looking for in a haircut. I think my son was going for a marine fighter pilot haircut. The haircut by Moos was amazing- he did a great job, the attention to detail was on point. Moos aka Mustapha is kind and welcoming, plus he has great talent. My husband, son and I were very happy with the outcome of the haircut. We always book Moos via Booksy. This is a wonderful business owned by a woman who is a pillar in the community. I'm speaking of Belinda. I've known of her for so many year's and she has always been welcoming, professional, and based on direct observation, a great stylist (Belinda has never actually cut MY hair - she is in high demand). This is the kind of business that we need to support, especially as it is the case that women barbers have been the recipients of backwards attitudes concerning their ability to cut men's hair. The thing to remember (in my experience) is to get an appointment. They do take walk-ins, but appointments are (apparently) preferred. OK, having said all of that, I would be dishonest if I did not state that two of the 4 worst haircuts I ever (ever!) had occurred at B Pizazz. Tim was the barber in both cases. In this last episode, I received a $27 haircut that lasted 8 minutes - 90% of which was done with scissors. More like 6 minutes, 2 minutes was consumed discussing products - and I did tip him. After I got home and combed my hair out, I looked like Joe Frazier on the flight home from Manilla. My Mantra: I will earn more money. My hair can and will grow back. I can pat my hair down to look even. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me thrice, shame on me. read more

Just spotted them from the street and decided to stop in for a a quick haircut over my lunch hour. The windows are tinted so I couldn't see inside until I walked in-- the place is decorated with an African motif and the advertisements inside indicated they catered to a primarily African-american clientele. I was in need of a new barber after my old barber shop closed its doors permanently. After doing a lot of research, I decided to try B-Pizazz. I was a walk-in but they had no trouble getting me in. Tim did my cut and I was extremely pleased. He did a great job. Even my daughter complimented me, so Ai know it was good! That barbers are good at their job and the atmosphere is what you like in a barber shop. Everyone is friendly, nice music and lively conversation. I am particular about my son's hair as if it were my own, my child's upkeep is a reflection of me. I can't say how patient, talented and consistent the barbers are. My son has seen Belinda who is awesome. She made the transition from one barbershop to this one pleasant. I think my son sees Tim, I could be wrong lol. He has a chair closer to the bathroom (I feel horrible for not knowing his name). I love what he does with my baby's head. Just love it, totally flexible and listens! Been going to Tim for five years now. Two years ago I moved about thirty minutes away from the shop. I tried to find a place near me but Tim cuts my hair better than anyone. I've never had such a consistently great barber. He give the cleanest fades and lines you up perfectly. I recommend him to everyone. Had a horrible experience here. I really wanted to take my boys to get their haircut at a real barbershop. The place I usually go to in San Jose happened to close early the day we tried to go. So we used Yelp and found this place. Can't really say too much about the haircut, because I waited with my wife and 3 boys (all under the age of 7) for 35 minutes before we were even acknowledged. They were busy when we got there - figured this was a good spot. After being there for a while a song came on in the barbershop with some language that wasn't kid friendly. The barber furthest from the door quickly changed the music and apologized. Then it went downhill. Other customers came in and got their haircut right away. No one explained to us they took appointments. Really? You're a barbershop not a hair dresser, but whatever. When it really went downhill was when the owner yelled at my 2 year old for touching the cabinet in the front. Then the say guy who changed the music asked how many haircuts we needed. We had been there close to an hour. When we told him 4, he said he could get us in, and explained that they mostly take appointments but take walk ins. He started asking the other barbers what their availability was. The owner, who had just said he didn't have anything on his schedule to the guy who's hair he was cutting - said he was booked. He couldn't order his own meal on his phone, but knew he didn't have availability without looking at his calendar. He was more interested to see if his current customer had pictures of the Russian girls the guy claimed to have been partying with the night before. The barber in the middle stopped and looked at his calendar, and said he was booked until 4. It was 3:15, and we had been waiting for over an hour. When we asked what the cost of a haircut was it was $20 for kids and $25 for adults. That's more than most chain places. In fact, we decided to leave and got the haircuts at a chain place. After our experience I wouldn't recommend going here. read more

I went yesterday as walk in customer and was greeted right away. The owner took care of us in a very timely manner. I can see that they probably get very busy but we got there at a good time.
