I choose my barber based on who has availability when I am looking last minute. One such search brought me here. I can see myself coming back since I really liked my haircut. It's not much to look at outside but the inside is super clean and well lit. I observed that the folks who came seemed to be regulars and happy to be there which is a good sign. My one complaint is that they only do cash and when I paid by Zelle, they tagged $2 though it is a free service. read more

Sent my son with my husband for a haircut today. He just needed a trim and the sides cleaned up. It was so bad when he came home I'm now at a different place having it fixed. It was so uneven and choppy. It looked like just took the different length blades and ran them haphazardly around his head. It wasn't blended at all and some parts visibly thicker than other areas. I found this barbershop when I lived in Campbell. Friendly staff and always busy. Walk-ins are welcome and prices are affordable.

I've been to many barbers and stylists but Floyd's is definitely the best overall. The barbers are friendly and put a lot of care/effort into the cuts. They always make sure my hair comes out to my liking. The environment and tools are also clean and well maintained, all at an affordable price. I wasn't going to write a post about me breaking out in hives from the dirty barber in the corner but since I'm in search of a new barber I will write down my experience at Floyd's barber shop Saturday October 1, 2022 I came into Floyd's to get my usual haircut now my usual barber Phil (ACTUALLY PHILS LITTLE BROTHER BECAUSE "phill quit"" anyways I've only had this guy cut my hair once and he chopped the hell out of it so I didn't go back , but since Phil and his brother no longer employed I decided to go with the "OG" of the shop trusting his skills one more time , unfortunately as he was doing my taper with what seems to be a dirty ass brush that he was touching my skin with almost instantly after my cut I had bubbles on the back of my neck and didn't really think nothing of it Boy was I wrong It's Sunday oct 2 and I the back of my neck has felt terrible and I've never had these bumps in my neck in my life SO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE BARBER IN THE CORNER!!! Floyd's is my favorite barber shop in the Bay Area! I've been going here for a few years now and the haircuts have been consistently good. I've had good luck with all the barbers but Vy is the best, and she's always there. I drive 30 mins each way for the haircuts each time and it's totally worth it! I got a fine haircut here. Short line, nice service. I won't be coming again. When it came time to settle the bill, I mistaken handed the barber a $20, instead of the $50 I thought I'd done. All of a sudden, the barber spoke no English at all, and I had to work really hard and be uncomfortably insistent about getting a reasonable amount of change back. I wasn't going to tip $45 on a $25 haircut, no matter how awkward the barber made it. I'm not sorry I got my hair cut there, but there won't be a return visit. Caveat emptor. read more

My husband got a haircut this morning. Now he looks like the Lululemon logo. He told them exactly what to cut and even had a reference photo (we are aware reference photos don't always come out exact). But they gave him the worst cut of his life. There's probably a reason they were the only place open for a haircut and everywhere else was full. His hair doesn't even have any layers, which he asked for and showed them six times, and now he's being told he needs another haircut. I hate leaving bad reviews and given all the other good reviews here, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I know everyone has bad days. (I'm having a pretty bad one because I wanted to take photos and his hair looks horrendous.) I hope you have a better experience if you go there and I'm sure they mean the best. It's a hard time for all. But hair is so important to many people and they ruined his long, thick hair. It's all sticking up at the bottom and he looks terrible. read more
