After years of waiting to try this spot, the day has come and I was so happy with my experience! We came here about 2 hours before closing and while they were sold out of some items, they still had a good selection. The ube bread pudding was out of this world - packed with flavor, moist, and melt in your melt, I was ecstatic. Paired it with their Ube Oreo ice cream and you get a big scoop for a single serving - it was very ube-ee and refreshing, and I could've eaten the whole gallon of it. An absolute place to try if you're craving a sweet treat!

Came on a Saturday and it wasn't busy. Parking can be tough if you can't score one of the metered spots on the main street. We tried the hot bread pudding (ube) with vanilla ice cream. That was the crowd favorite and a great hot & cold dessert. We also tried their ube ice cream with crushed oreos on top. For drinks, we got their thai tea, ube latte, dirty ube latte (comes with coffee), and matcha. The drinks are on the sweeter side, especially mixed with other desserts, so bring a water bottle.

One of my absolute favorites! I visited them for the first time years ago and now that I've been living in LA for the past few years, I have been able to visit them more often. They never disappoint with their desserts! When I am homesick, I love coming here. When I want to introduce people to flavors of the Philippines, I know this place delivers. Every. Time. My personal favorites are the ube hot bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and buko pandan ice cream! I also have been a fan of many of their rotating flavors and on this most recent visit, I tried their senorita bread flavored pudding. Very very sweet but still tasty.

Deserts! Came here before and ordered the Halo Halo. Twas good so I ordered it again. For those unfamiliar, halo halo or halo2 is a Filipino shaved ice desert that contains things like sweet beans, coconut slithers, garbanzo beans, coconut jelly, sago, gulaman, shaved ice, milk, and topped off with Ice Cream and some crispy toasted rice. Not sure the ingredients this place puts in but it does taste good! Cost isn't cheap but it's reasonable for this area and is a must try! They have other desserts too! The inside is small enough that during busy times, there might be a line. Best bet is go in and eat out unless you can grab their storefront seats. But hey, this is Sawtell so just walk around. Verdict - a must try and repeat as often as possible

Came on Saturday just after noon. There wasn't a line when I came in. Ordered a slice of strawberry matcha cake and friend got ube ice cream. The service was friendly and good. There's some seating outside in front of the store. It started to get busy after I went outside to eat. The ube ice cream wasn't bad. The strawberry matcha cake had a very strong matcha flavor. It overpowered the cake flavor so all I could taste was matcha. Overall it was a good experience at this place.

Nutella croissant bread pudding is to die for! Adding oat milk ice cream made it heaven! Definitely come here for desserts!

Obsessed with this place. Very cute and clearly spacious, they offer outdoor seating in front of the store. Such a cute little desert spot. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the guy at the register and he was so kind and friendly. I originally wanted one of the bread puddings but it was sold out so I got the glazed donut one instead and an uber cheesecake and both were beyond tasty! I am stopping by on my next LA trip first thing!

Finally another visit to B Sweet, this is my go to dessert choice after dinner at Killer Noodle. I drove all the way down to LA today from Reno, NV, and this was a necessary stop before we got to our hotel. All 4 of my family got the Ube Bread Pudding w/ Pandan Drizzle, and a scoop of ice cream. This was my family's first visit with me a they all loved it. Such a cool flavor pairing, and we ate so much food that we barely could make the walk back to the car... wish I lived closer and I would try some more flavors! Next time... Special shout out to the decorations, this place always delivers on the ambiance, really cool Christmas decorations this time...

B sweet has so much potential. They have one of the best halo halos we have ever had. We actually loved all of the desserts we ordered. The problem is the menu is a little overwhelming and confusing. I was with my daughters and it wasn't just me that felt this way. Service was disappointing. The girl working the register was unwelcoming and did not greet us or offer any help whatsoever. She came off as annoyed that we decided to come in. We could be heard talking to each other and asking questions and she never felt inclined to answer us. The young man that made our order was super friendly and courteous. He built our desserts and packed our to go items nicely. He kind of made up for her lack of enthusiasm but I was still pretty disappointed in my first experience here. The restaurant itself is a little too dark and too busy looking. There is lots of seating outside available. Again, there is so much potential here but I don't know that I would come back here.

It's been a while since we've been here! Last time may also have been around Halloween time. The place is always nicely decorated around this time. We just got the halo-halo to share. But oh, boy! It was soooo good!!! Service is good and the lady who helped us was very nice and truly very helpful answering my husband's questions: Wish it's not that far from us, or we'd be here more often!

Real sad to report my experience has changed since I was here last :( I came by with some friends on a weekday evening and the outdoor seating was almost entirely full but we did manage to snag a table. We came by exclusively for a slice of their Ube cheesecake which I previous came by to pick up for one of my friend's birthday cake. Service was fast but the cake was so cold it was almost rock solid. I get that they premake these and keep them refrigerated but this was almost inedible until it spent about 15 mins dethawing with us. The recipe of the Ube cheesecake also seems to have changed?? We all agreed it tasted different than previously and that perhaps it got less sweet? This was never overly sweet so now it was almost bland?? We were so surprised by this change we truly cannot tell if we just got a bad batch or not.

Hands down number 1 dessert stop in Japantown. We stopped in to B Sweet after dinner. The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming. We all tried out the Ube Bread Pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and pandan drizzle. Wow! Talk about flavor explosion! This is for sure a must try for anyone around this area. This place is absolutely adorable, when you walk up you are greeted by bright blue lights out front and inside is filled decked out in Christmas decor for the holiday season. I cannot wait to come back again.

    Ube horchata and affogato
    Levis K.

An absolute must-try if you're in the Sawtelle area! We came here for a sweet treat after having tsukemen nearby. We looked at the menu and photos on yelp and decided this would be the perfect spot and trusted our instincts. We were so glad we stopped by because our instincts were right! We tried the ube horchata and the affogato for a little pick-me-up and a much needed caffeine hit. Both drinks were absolutely delicious. When I first sipped on the ube horchata, I could not put it down! It has clear notes of both flavors mixed perfectly into one drink. The affogato was also super delicious! If you get it, make sure to eat/drink it quickly before the ice cream melts! The ice cream and the coffee both tasted good on their own, but mixed in together they blend in for a delicious combination. The service was great! The workers didn't rush us as they could tell we took a little while to decide what to get. They were even open for suggestions in case we needed some. On top of that, they seemed friendly and approachable, making this place feel welcoming. The shop is small but mighty - the decor is visually appealing and helps tie in the entire restaurant together. I enjoyed seeing the signage and other decor they had throughout the shop. Overall I would say this is definitely worth checking out - the drinks are really good and I would totally get them again. My only gripe is the parking - meters everywhere (your best bet is parking in the neighborhood and finding a meter there, if available. Be careful for permit only parking).

    Do they have outdoor seating?

Yes, and they have live music on Friday Nights!

Is possible to order a whole ube cheesecake?

Yes, you have to call it in a day before. Should run you like $30+ I ordered one for a friend a long time ago, so yes you can.

What time is it usually not too busy on a Saturday?

When they open :) - or mid afternoon. the lines move fast though so its not that bad.

Any recommendations for kbbq near this place? We will be in the area and want to make a day out of it. Thanks!

Walking distance are Tofu Ya or Seoul Tofu both places are known for their combo soon tofu with kalbi - about 2 miles away is Galbi King and they have AYCE at dinner.

Are there peanut free items? As in not even touched by the utensils that touch other items with nuts?

I would call them to ask for the most accurate answer. Hope it's a "Yes"!

Is there a way I can order some of the frozen items I.e. magnolia ice cream and keep it from melting long enough to get it to Glendale?

If you know you're going to purchase ice cream that you plan on transporting, I recommend bringing a cooler with ice (or at least a cooler). The last thing you want happening is your perfect ice cream melting half way home.

    Any gluten free items?

    No, there aren't.

    Do they have anything vegan?

Yes, there is at minimum a sublime carrot cake and a line of beverages that are all vegan.

Why is this place closed today?

They are closed Monday and Tuesday ( it is their 'weekend'), so they can set up the weeks new menu items and it is their break days. So sorry you won't be able to get it today

What's the Thanksgiving holiday week(end) schedule? Are they open?

Open from 9 AM - 11 PM on WEDNESDAY. CLOSED Thursday AND Friday. Open for normal hours on Saturday…

Do you have any dairy free or vegan desserts?

Lactose-free vanilla ice cream is offered (unless sold out). Menu rotates every week, occasionally with a vegan dessert offered. All drinks offered on-tap are also vegan.

Does B Sweet take orders for cake pops for birthday parties?

Yes. Contact them. And ask for catering. They love being part of your event.

Worth the short trek. It was a cold Sunday morning, but the place was busy with families, Gen Z'ers, young couples and lots of dogs. I appreciated that their drink menu had some personality, because a lot of coffee/matcha spots feel like they're copying from the same boring menu. I got the sea salt mocha and it was delicious. Smooth, chocolatey and just salty enough. My wife got some type of cereal milk latte, which sounded epic but was apparently just mid. Still, we didn't regret the walk. ChitChat is a cool little Sawtelle stop with good drinks, good energy and plenty of dog-friendly vibes. Pro tip: Afterwards, swing-by Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery kitty-corner from the coffee shop. Because I had my leashed dog with me, she practically threw me out of the store. While she pointed to the "no dogs allowed" sign, I explained that I was only inside to order and planned to sit outside, something I have done on countless previous visits. After being forced to wait outside, my drink was left sitting on the counter for several minutes. The barista never bothered to let me know it was ready, despite the café being slow.
