We were in the area for errands and wanted to grab coffee--when we saw they had Esquite Toast. We gave it a try along with their Breakfast Burrito. It was a quiet day for a Saturday morning, there weren't many customers yet. Unfortunately, our order was overlooked and it took checking in with the staff to start its preparation. They looked puzzled at first but eventually figured it out. The Esquite Toast was OK. The bread was overly toasted. The Breakfast Burrito was OK. It filled us up. The Iced Vanilla Latte tasted too milky, could hardly taste the espresso. The hibiscus lemonade was OK. When our order arrived, a staff member was apologetic and offered a baked good on the house. We weren't able to redeem the offer given the long line that grew after our meal. Not the best first impression but maybe they were having an off day? read more

The positives of this place are the coffee and staff. Okay and the ambiance is chill. My almond milk latte and matcha latte were great. The male barista is very good and efficient. He also had a great attitude when I asked him to switch from to go lattes to the mug as we said dining in. Think you'll be totally pleased if you want drinks and pastries here, but please beware if you want any food, it was honestly terrible. I hate to leave "bad" reviews but I'm super frustrated at the breakfast we received today. I get businesses trying to survive and needing to cut corners but this place should not serve food at all. They'd be better off. We ordered: A "carrot" "muffin" A breakfast burrito An egg bacon cheese sandwich Avocado toast They used the absolute cheapest ingredients possible for these items. Literally ONE egg - smashed so thin on the sandwich, burrito and avo toast. Sandwich was barely toasted white bread with Kraft American cheese that wasn't even melted. The bacon surprisingly was edible given the rest was not. And hey, I'm all for a classic 80's style breakfast sandwich but please let me know ahead of time that's what I'll be getting. The breakfast burrito was FULL of onions, what seemed like frozen hash browns and a mountain of black pepper it was literally inedible. The green salsa was watery af and helped none. The avocado toast was trying to be something but didn't quite make it. The bread was soft and under toasted, with a thin layer of avocado spread. The "esquite" was missing mayo, cheese, hot sauce, and consisted of corn and raw Jalapeño. Boring and flavorless. Again topped with a paper thin egg. Lastly, the carrot muffin was clearly a white box cake mix with a sprinkle on top of these super thin uniform "carrot" pieces. The cupcake itself (yes it's a cupcake, sweet af) had no actual carrot in it. Oh I also asked if the açaí base had sugar or came pre- sweetened because my husband is diabetic and the cashier said she had no idea... B Twentyfour is a casual vibrant cafe with compendious menu situated in the corner of North Broadway and Ave 24 in Lincoln Heights neighborhood of LA. Its interior is very spacious with a second floor; white wall surrounds the entire cafe with carefully curated art decor on the side of the stairs, and huge wooden coffee menu plastered on the north wall. I had a hot Cubano, an Avocado Toasts with corn and Egg Cheese Wheat Sandwich for breakfast. Food and coffee were tasty and delightful. Service was spot on. Atmosphere was quite relaxing. Prices were highly competitive and of market value. Female staff were competent and affable. After years of driving by Lincoln Hts and not knowing it existed. I am glad I visited them. Beware of parallel metered street parking. Tons of parking on weekdays. For reference; for Broadway, 1 hour limit parking between 8am-6pm. Both Ave 22 and Ave 24, 2 hour limit parking between 8am-6pm except Sundays. And street sweeping (No Parking) is between 10am-12pm on Tuesdays on one side and Wednesday on the other side. Esquite Avocado Toast -so good. Texture of corn was good, crisp and firm. Jalapenos were deseeded no spice at all, it did add a slight crunch and freshness to the avocados. Egg was a little over cooked for my preference. Much more jammy than runny. Strawberry Latte -flavor was odd.. but still good. It tasted more like a melted Neapolitan ice cream than just strawberry, slight mocha flavor mixed in there as well. Banana Latte -fragrant, more artificial than natural flavor. Horchata Latte - horchata wasn't as strong as I prefer. Coffee overpowered it. read more

This coffee shop is a hidden gem! It is located in an unassuming corner on broadway. When you walk in, it is quite spacious with a second level as well. The cutest cafe we stumbled upon when trying to meet friends in a central place in LA. I love supporting local cafes and coffee shops and this one definitely did not disappoint! We ordered almost every breakfast item, including the breakfast bagel egg sandwiches and esquite avocado toast and they were so fresh and delicious. Way better than corporate cafes with their prepackaged nonsense. There is parking outside but it is metered, so make sure you pay for your parking! The space is a large lofted cafe with an upstairs area. We sat downstairs with friends who had kids and they even had card games for the little ones to play with. Will definitely be back! read more

Haven't been here for many years, but last week a friend wanted to meet for coffee here. Remembering my issue with the veg burrito lol, I ordered their esquite avocado toast (corn). It wasn't as cheesy as I remembered and the avocado mash was possibly pre-made / bought like that -- but it was tasty nonetheless! Service is still slow (kids were done with their drinks by the time the food came out) and I wasn't too impressed with their horchata latte, but definitely an adorable cafe that's a neighborhood mainstay. Prices are a bit much though -- can't spend $20 on 1x food item and 1x special coffee drink on the regular! read more

Super cute coffee spot close to a bunch of different shops. The cappuccino I had was delicious maybe a little over but that could've been the beans. I had a jalapeño and cheese croissant and my friend had a jalapeño and cheese bagel. Both of them were fantastic. But they had a full café type menu. The service was great, and there was seating inside for you to work. There wasn't a ton of seating, but I will say they had some games if you wanted to hang out with a friend, and they even had a little book collection. This place is a hidden gem. The space is airy and light, with a lovely upstairs area too. Perfect for chatting but also great for working with plenty of outlets. Staff is super nice and friendly, very helpful. The FOOD deserved a huge shoutout. They give huuuuuuge and generous portions and the quality is five star. Breakfast burrito was SO flavorful m, packed with really good ingredients, and two salsas on the side. The açaí bowls are impeccable- they really are super generous with the amount they put in and the quality of the fruit- the berries were all super ripe and sweet and the açaí was delish. I had the banana latte with coconut milk and it was like a tropical coffee- so yummy but the ice melted so fast! I also tried the ham and cheese croissant which was decent and the breakfast burrito (and added bacon) which was subpar bc it was mostly potato and I didn't even taste the bacon. The salsas were not the best- it tasted like straight tapatío and the green salsa was a little watery for my liking. The baristas were all so friendly as well and even delivered our food to us upstairs! So nice of them. This place is so cute and very spacious! It's a great place to study and do work. I come here all the time to get work done. Lots of tables and outlets. Staff is really kind! I really like their food, particularly their Tropical Turmeric smoothie and their açaí bowls. The one thing holding me back from 5 stars is that you WILL leave this place with your hair, clothes, and bags smelling like cooking oil. Just don't wear anything you don't wash often... Ordered a smoothie for my daughter and a burrito for me. They made the smoothie first which was odd and it was super watery by the time my burrito was done and I gave my daughter, whom was waiting in the car. The burrito was 99% potato. Very cute local coffee shop on the corner of a main road, offering small pastries and brunch bites as well. I met up here with two girl friends as it made for a center point between where we were all coming from and it was a perfect little spot. I enjoyed my hot almond mocha coffee and simple egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough. The prices are fair and the staff was nice. I only have two favorite coffee shops here in Lincoln heights and each provide their own specialty, which sets them apart. But when you want to find a truly great cup of coffee that will give you a quick pick me up, I recommend this spot, idk how I have lived so near yet so far, without trying it. And what makes a good coffee shop? While opinions may vary, it's all about the vibes and about the staff which they are pretty chill but not over the top, which for me it's good, because there's days I just want to walk in and get my coffee and not have to have long conversations. Another plus it's not too busy and there's an upstairs space to get away from the noise and ppl, the only downside is that they close so early and there is only street parking. read more

Just alright! I tried the esquite avocado toast and strawberry latte from here and both were just okay. I liked the idea of the toast-- quite an innovative combo, but the flavors didn't stand out in any special way. The toast was a bit soggy and had a stale texture, while the corn looked roasted but ended up being quite mushy. The latte, on the other hand, was sweeter than I expected and the strawberry flavored tasted too syrupy and artificial. Not the best, not the worst. read more

Cute hole in the wall café that offers a selection of food menus. I came down here after a hike and grabbed an açai bowl which, by the way are massive compared to other places in LA!
