Very unfriendly receptionist who wanted to schedule a date before my surgery and was unwilling to work on acceptable time frame per Drs orders for post surgery. I went there like 5 years ago, and used the Physical Therapy Pool.. I really enjoyed the pool, and thought it went so good, that I started again this year.. I love the attention, and encouragement, to do all the exercises in the pool, but also like that everyone is different, and goes at a different pace.. They work together like a team, that all like each other, and makes it a pleasant place to go.. I've gone to Baas for two separate issues with a couple years between. I found my experiences, both times, to be excellent. Although, I have to say that the recent staff seem to be more engaged with patients and as a team. I've never had to wait; the front desk is always personable and thorough with scheduling. I've had to shift or miss an appointment a time or two and they were understanding and accommodating. The laughter and lightheartedness is contagious. Martin is an A+++ Physical Therapist, dedicated, encouraging, and discerning. Hope and the other techs are delightful. I'll miss them when I am recovered. The PT has helped my hip pain steadily and I have picked up life-long healthful exercise habits. read more

I have a certain health insurance that limits me to certain referrals to only physical therapy establishments. Baas physical therapy is one of them. After 3 back surgeries the aquatic therapy works wonders on my back. Unfortunately after 40 visits to my back I was involved in a car accident. Diagnosed with whiplash I had to discontinue the aquatic therapy and do regular physical therapy. After 12 visits my neck and shoulders are back to normal. Looking forward to going back to the aquatic therapy. read more

***** 28Dec2016 upddate ***** Last month I received a refund check for the full amount I had paid earlier this year. The check was accompanied with a letter stating that they've conducted an internal investigation of their business practices and made several changes as a result, and that their first priority is good patient care/customer service. I don't know what specific changes were made but it does reflect somewhat positively that the owners were concerned enough to launch an investigation. Ideally this would have been handled privately during the multiple phone calls/emails I had with them before posting this review publicly, but at the end of the day they took responsibility for what happened. As stated in my original post, I had no issues with their staff or services, so based on the assumption that they've revised their billing practices, I've upgraded my rating to 3 stars. ***** Original 1-star review 14Jun201 ***** Pros: The staff are friendly. Cons: Their billing practices are unreasonable at best and dishonest at worst. Somehow I owe them $342 for performing a series of simple exercises by myself (without staff supervision or special equipment) and receiving 75 total minutes of e-stim therapy. After my five sessions this past Dec-Jan for an old knee injury, Baas billed the following per session: 1) $90 for 10 minutes of unsupervised exercises using no special equipment beyond a standard exercise ball, 2) $30 for 15 min use of an e-stim machine, and 3) $30 for using one ice pack during e-stim treatment. After my insurance completed their processing in May, I was charged $68.40 per session ($342 total). When I disputed charges 1 and 3 above, the owner refused to consider reducing the charges to an amount more in line with the actual services received. According to their activity logs, I spent 23 minutes completing the exercises each session, which was billed as two 15-min increments. They did not take into account that approximately half of this time each session was simply me waiting for the staff to come over after they were finished with another client. As mentioned above, total exercise time was about 10 minutes per session, which consisted of standard exercises that anyone could do at home - lunges, toe raises, etc. without a ball, and hip thrusts with a ball. In fact, the staff gave me guidance sheets for each of these exercises because they were so simple they expected me to do them at home during days I didn't come to their office. Their billing department's response to my dispute also said that they logged my "in and out" time as approximately 55 minutes per session. Apparently the number of minutes a client spends in their building is an actual factor in their billing amount, even though this includes time spent waiting after checking in and time spent chatting casually with the staff because as stated above, they're a friendly group. After several emails and phone calls, the owner maintained his refusal to reduce the charges to correspond to the services I actually received. I can't comprehend how it's conscionable to bill $90 for 10 minutes of unsupervised exercises and $30 for temporary use of an ice pack. If you are sent here, make sure you have a clear understanding of how their itemized billing works before beginning your therapy. I asked about their billing practices before my first session to avoid this very scenario and the front desk said they couldn't provide me any information on actual costs until they were processed by my insurance, months later. I wish now I had either insisted on receiving detailed info about their billing practices or just turned around and walked out the door that day. read more

They pick and choose who they want to treat right. Mark is one of the rudest there. He doesnt always do the full routine with you. He talks down to you and makes you feel like crap. When you tell him that an exercise hurts, he still wants you to do them. He doesn't take your handicap into account when he's setting up your routine. Their computer seems to be messed up. I simply chose Baas for my P.T. because of its location, but I'm so glad I did! I am so impressed with the staff and have nothing but good things to say about my treatment. The staff are all professional in their approach, but there's also a wonderful camaraderie and personal care in their dealings with the clients. I am grateful for the progress I'm making in my recovery from surgery, and it's due largely to the work the therapists are doing. read more

I usually don't write a negative review. If I do, it's because I feel there is a good chance of others having a bad experience and I would want a heads up , from those who have been there before. I was kept waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes, wearing a mask. I have severe asthma and this is difficult for me. No one was even close to seeing me. I would expect someone to let me know that they are running late, or ask if I wanted to wait outside (so I didn't need to keep a mask on) and they would call when ready, or offer water... something, any acknowledgement would have been appreciated. I received nothing. At the minimum this is poor customer relations, especially for a first time visitor. I finally left without seeing a physical therapist at all. I decided to go elsewhere for my physical therapy. They said that they wouldn't release my referral and I had to go back to my surgeon for another. Because that is their policy . I asked them to release my referral to me. Initially they refused. Saying it was not their policy. They finally agreed to mail it to me. ( this is 7 days later and I've not received it) This person was very rigid in her manners and was bordering on hostile. In general, the staff was very unprofessional. I saw a pillow fight between staff members. While I waited for 30 minutes for my appointment, I was sitting just 4-5 feet from the main desk. I easily heard the details of the romantic relationship of one young staff member. This was information that I did not need to know. Please save yourself the experience and just go somewhere else. If you do make an appointment, keep a copy of your referral. You're not likely to get it back... read more

I went for my first appointment today. After waiting 1.5 hours I nicely asked how much longer it would be and the gal at the front desk was rude to me. Not once did anyone come in to let me know why I had not been seen after waiting all this time. When I first got there they asked me to wait by the pool and after waiting there for 15 minutes they realized they had called me in there by mistake. I won't be going back. Hopefully the next place I go to will be s better experience. read more

It has been a while since I was at Baas Physical Therapy. I have been to quite a few other places in town and they were okay, but Baas is the best place I have ever been for physical therapy. They are so sweet and always address me by name. The staff all get along well and work well together so we get the best therapy we can. I always enjoyed being there. I was referred here by my doctor about two weeks ago. They were supposed to contact me and never did, so I contacted them to get things started. The woman who answered the phone was so rude to me that I called my doctor and had the referral changed to Cascade Physical Therapy. I was referred here by my doctors office. Well the first visit I waited for 2 HOURS! just to get a room. And meanwhile the office filled up. There was a screaming child on the floor who was throwing crayons everywhere and at everybody, in the meanwhile being rewarded with candy from the staff. After 2 hours I was finally seen by the Physical Therapist and that did go well. He seemed knowledgeable and seemed to care. After the evaluation part it goes down hill. A woman came in and said ok now just do your exercises and ran out of the room. WHAT EXERCISES? I had to wait 15 more minutes to get her attention. She showed me a couple on herself and ran out again. Never saw anyone after that. I let myself out. Today 30 minutes before by apt time they called to say something was wrong with my insurance. After talking with the woman for 10 minutes I discovered the problem. She entered the wrong numbers. No thank you, I will find care and I do mean CARE elsewhere. read more
