Here you can- Grab drinks from their full bar, wine & beer on tap, lunch, dinner and a quick bite, while you wait for flight. Bar seating and some free standing high sitting stools also available. Get work done, or meet other travelers, alone or with a small group. My ratings are based on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is tragic and 5 is Ouuwww terrific! Overall ratings- 4.5 Food- 5 stars for an airport eatery. Had the short rib toast with bebere flavors, topped with Romano and arugula. Customer service- 5 stars. Bartender Kevin was both engaging and entertaining. Cleanliness- 4.5 Ambiance- 5 stars..comfortable convenience to grab drinks and food, while you wait to board your fligh. Can traveler watch and meet new people.

This is Baba Bar. It says they are open until midnight. My flight that departed at 7 pm was returned to Philly. Delayed until 1230 am take off. At 930 pm, once passengers were deplaned and were ordering drinks and food, this bar closed. So when a group of passengers needed a bit of comfort, a little relief, and were willing to spend the money, this bar CLOSED. So much for customer service.

Riverwinds Restaurant has been on our radar for quite some time, so I decided to bring my…read moregirlfriend, Cindy, there for her birthday. When I made our reservation online, I included a special request asking if we could be seated by a window to enjoy the river and, hopefully, the sunset. They were able to accommodate our request, and we had a beautiful view of the river. It was a little cloudy, so the sunset wasn't spectacular, but the scenery still made for a wonderful evening. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the Fried Fresh Mozzarella Bruschetta, and it was outstanding. The fresh tomatoes, perfectly fried mozzarella, and balsamic reduction came together beautifully. The mozzarella was cooked just right--not overdone to the point where all the cheese oozes out--which made for a great bite every time. Cindy ordered the Scallop Risotto, served in a lemon butter wine sauce. The risotto had a great consistency--not watery at all--and the scallops were perfectly tender. The flavors were fresh, rich, and well-balanced. I chose the Frutti di Mare Risotto, featuring sautéed mussels, clams, jumbo shrimp, crab meat, broccoli rabe, and cherry tomatoes. This dish exceeded my expectations. Every piece of seafood was tender and flavorful. I did encounter a little sand in a couple of the mussels, which can occasionally happen with shellfish, but it certainly wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic meal. To finish the evening, the staff brought out a celebratory chocolate birthday cake for Cindy. It was incredibly moist with a delicious cream cheese filling--the perfect ending to a memorable birthday dinner. One final tip: if you decide to take a walk around the grounds after dinner, keep an eye out... you might find someone taking a nap outside. Overall, Riverwinds delivered excellent food, outstanding service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Between the attentive staff, delicious seafood, and scenic river views, we'll definitely be back.

Way too expensive for the food and experience…read more Yes I went there for Easter. Yes it was a holiday menu. Are you serious that chicken fingers and fries were $20.99? On the kids menu? This place does not serve exceptional food. It's not a Michelin star stop. It's a typical Italian style place with a good view who apparently hates beer and thinks their food is far better than it actually is. The pricing is insane. Actually, worse than that, screw these people. That's how pissed they made me. My rib eye wasn't even rendered properly with lots of connective tissue and thick hard fat. My kid's salad was drenched in dressing he didn't like despite us ordering it on the side. The $25 shrimp cocktail was literally 4 unseasoned shrimp. The $20 calamari app was half fried pepper rings. Everything was double what it should have cost. Are these morons serious with their prices? I can't believe this horrible place is still in business. It's insulting. Almost like they are trying to keep out the riff raff. I hate them for that. If you are going to have prices like this, you better serve perfect food. I seriously will never give them another chance. They don't deserve it. Who do they think they are?

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.

Lovely Leti and I were hungrier than jackals after American Airlines dared to nourish our 5.5hr flight from LA to PHL w/ a mere Biscotti wafer paired w/ a 4oz pour of soda- We also had nearly four hours to extinguish til we boarded our connecting flight to Portugal...so we took the bait- "Prime US, Independence Prime" we challenged. Our server was a delightful young Ethiopian lady w/ a dazzling smile and great presence of mind despite her singlehandedly serving the bulk of the restaurant herself. Her relaxed manner amd quick smile paired with good enough service to satisfy us. "But what about the food?!" you holler. The starter, Brussel Sprouts Wok'd with bacon, diced pear and candied walnuts, was a flat non-starter for us. For one, the appetizer was brought out several minutes after our entrees were, a culinary faux pax I thought the Chinese restaurants had monopolized. Second, at $15 the dish was a little overpriced, most notably when you factor in the lack of coherence in the dish. The brussel sprouts were day old, previously fried then reheated. The bacon was a bit underdone and pieces of pear weren't completely cleaved from other pieces. Leti's Chicken Sando was highlighted by a peppery lemon vinaigrette that made the flavors soar like one of the Eagles recent "Super Bowl Champion" banners do at Lincoln Field. Me, humbled to be known in the greater Los Amgeles area as "your favorite Yelp correspondent..." decided that I could not visit Philadelphia Airport and avert ordering a CHEESESTEAK. My cheesesteak was pretty fly! Obligatory amoroso long loaf baguette heaped with tendrils of flaky flat-topped rib eye, oozy Provolone and mushrooms + onions. The fries were hot, not overly-salinated and performed admirably in service of the star, that unctuous homage to Philly herself, the noble cheesesteak! The ambiance was good- The venue fairly thronged with futbol fanatics cheering lustily as Spain delivered the coup de grace, winning shot in the 89th minute to eclipse Belgium in the World Cup quarterfinal. Our bill, for two entrees, one starter, a soda, taxes and tip was $79.73. In the end, Independence Prime may not deliver Prime Time appetizers but the rest of the meal rose to the challenge.

We walked around the terminal and settled to have a lunch/dinner here since they had Philly Cheesesteaks and when in Philadelphia.... Had to try one. We also checked prices before coming in, and we liked that the seating area here is huge, nice decor, lots of tables, more relaxing spot if you need to kill time and room for luggagge. We placed the order: 2 portions of Philly Cheesesteaks sando-s with fries and 2 Amber Ale-s on draft (from New York). We were shocked that they wanted us to pay upfront and the bill was higher than we calculated. Then I checked everything: there was a 3% Employee Wage and Benefits Fee added to the total and the server picked a tip, on the high end! Not OK! If you want to give benefits for your staff, pay out from your profit from the high prices you charge! I am OK with benefits for people, but I am not responsible for your workers! In my field of work, I get none so I pay for things! Tips- I like to give my tip at the end, based on the quality of service and the quality of food! Not upfront! I actually changed the tip to a smaller amount since: 1. I paid into benefits already 2. I got burned recently a lot with upfront tips and then you get crappy service 3. I am on a budget! Food was decent, the beer - didn't love it, a tad thick, sweet, not your typical crisp Amber ale. Service - very minimal, so my tip was more than fine! I liked the decor, the tables, more relaxed vibe. The food was pretty good. The rest - left a bitter taste in my mouth! I wouldn't come here again, wouldn't recommend and I wish I would have read reviews ahead, but don't always have time!
