Across the board one of the best airport food experiences in my travels in the US. I had their Old School Burger and I will say it was hot, fresh, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bun was fresh and toasted, the burger was seasoned well and delicious, and the fries were excellent! Even the service was fantastic! Attentive and really polite and upbeat! This place would be a great stop even if it wasn't in an airport! Well done! If I come through terminal C in Philly again, I'll be stopping for a burger!

Great food and such a cute location in the Philly airport. Drinks were on point, and service was excellent.

Chicken and waffles was good. $20 is to be expected as it was located in the airport. I'm deducting points as part of my chicken was pink and my egg was a little overcooked. The service was fine.

It's nicely located in the middle of the airport, just past the Terminal C security point, and the food is good! I had the chicken and waffles and I really like how they also added bacon and eggs to it, it really elevates it, and for $20.50, it's not too unreasonable for a sit down airport restaurant. Service was unfortunately a bit slow. I had to wait quite a bit when the restaurant was nearly empty for my food and check which was disappointing, but thankfully my flight was a few hours away so it wasn't a concern for me, but I would be nervous if I only had a short time. I hope they can improve it. The actual quality of service was great, I just wish it was a bit quicker. Overall I enjoyed it, and would definitely go back.

Good warm .... not dense and not Land O' Lakes .. room for improvement

We had an early wake-up call. Before the day is over, we will have been on 4 different planes. Breakfast was 04:00 in Pittsburgh. We didn't eat until we were back in Philly airport. This restaurant was recommended by a born & bred Philly resident. I was eying up the fried cheese curds hard. Didn't get them. We got the wedge salad x 2, chicken soup, and biscuits. Hit the spot.

Bud & Marilyn's is a prominent entry in the Valerie Safran/Marcie Turney culinary stable of highly successful 13th Street corridor eateries, which also includes Barbuzzo, Little Nonna's and, most recently, Darling Jack's Tavern. Bud & Marilyn's, however - if you'll pardon the continuing analogy - is a horse of a different color. The restaurant is unabashedly retro. Named after Ms. Turney's grandparents, who ran a restaurant in Ripon, Wisconsin, the moment you cross the threshold, you feel like you've just stumbled into an out-of-control party in your uncle's rec room. Vintage decor, clunky glassware, and an odd assortment of knickknacks all add to the pleasant illusion of another time and place... as do the updated riffs on a host of classic cocktails... The food, on the other hand, is retro in name only. In some cases, items listed on the menu simply provide a springboard for the infusion of a host of upscale/updated ingredients. I mean, no one would ever accuse dishes like the previously sampled Falafel Crusted Cauliflower of pressing too many nostalgic buttons. Embellished with serrano chili, cilantro, mint, toasted sesame seeds, splash of lemon, and a cooling cucumber raita, this delicious starter is as contemporary as it gets. It was also - unlike many other items in the restaurant's repertoire - modestly portioned and marvelously light on the palate. The great majority of the dishes I've observed here are both heavy and heavy-handed. Heavy with regard to portion-size, preparation, and impact on one's delicate peristalsis; and particularly heavy-handed with regard to presentation. Take the Grilled "Brick" Chicken, for example. I'm not one of those critics who believes that everything that proceeds out of the kitchen must resemble a work of art... but I do believe that any item of food ultimately placed before a diner should be at least semi-attractive. However, when this dish hit the table, my first thought was that it bore uncanny resemblance to the regurgitation of an endangered species. To paraphrase an old axiom: "The palate can only appreciate what the eye can endure." And there are occasions at Bud & Marilyn's when the eye must endure a great deal. Finesse, it should be noted, is not this restaurant's strong suit. Among the spruced up retro entrées, the Fontina & Chard Stuffed Meatloaf has the most to recommend it. The hefty loaf is upgraded with Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors' dry-aged beef and veal, a third-generation meat wholesaler based in North Bergen, New Jersey. The sautéed Swiss chard adds suppleness, the fontina a shot of oozy over-indulgence. The glaze is a ketchup concoction - just like mom used to make - that is caramelized in the oven. The meatloaf itself is a thing of beauty, dense but marvelously moist and beautifully seasoned. Accompaniments, however, vary in quality... The royal trumpet mushroom gravy presented in a vintage gravy boat (When's the last time you saw one of those?) is lusciously over-the-top. But Yukon Gold mashed potatoes are thin, watery, and lacking in flavor. And the carrots & peas look like they were dropped onto the plate from some undetermined height. Once again, the devil is in the details - and the kitchen doesn't quite get it. Dessert-wise, there are a number of ways to go... but nothing quite does the trick like a gargantuan wedge of sinfully decadent chocolate cake layered with peanut butter buttercream and embellished with chocolate ganache and mini-malt balls. If you're a confirmed lover of chocolate/peanut butter combos, as I am, you will find this outrageously rich dessert simply impossible to resist. And don't even think about tackling it by yourself, as my dining partner and I barely made a dent. This is a table-sharer if ever there was one... and simply not to be missed. In many ways, dining at Bud & Marilyn's is an incredibly frustrating experience. On some occasions, the kitchen acquits itself reasonably well; those irresistible Wisconsin Cheese Curds immediately come to mind, ditto the Warm Buttermilk Biscuits, and the Seared Sea Scallops and Fontina & Chard Stuffed Meatloaf. On the other hand, the kitchen's current philosophy of presentation appears to be "pile it on." The food is surprisingly heavy - on the eye as well as the palate - and, in many cases, lacks both focus and finesse. Bud & Marilyn's offers diners an interesting culinary journey down memory lane... I just wish there were a few less bumps in the road.

Chicken and waffles with an egg and bacon. This was an absolute disaster of precooked, tasteless chicken.

I love Bud & Marilyn's, the original on Locust. Everything about it excites me, from the atmosphere, to the drinks to the menu. When I knew I would have some time to grab breakfast while flying out of Terminal C, I was excited because I knew they had one in the airport. It was about 8:30am and the restaurant, aside from a few people at the bar, was completely empty. Everyone seemed to be going for coffees or fast food in the airport. We entered the restaurant and were told we could sit wherever we'd like. We grabbed a spot out of the way in case our young son started getting restless. It took a long time for the server to drop some menus and even longer for her to come back with drinks (yes I ordered a beer at 8:45am to start my vacation). I'm not a breakfast fan but I love Bud & Marilyn's fried chicken and had somewhat of a sweet tooth this morning, so I opted for the Chicken and Waffles (with an over easy egg on top). The food came out and I thought: "this is going to be great, look at how good it looks". One bite and it was as if all of my hopes and dreams were obliterated. They have to be cooking the chicken ahead of time, this was by far some of the driest, most tasteless chicken I have ever had....I grew up in the midwest, I know what bad food is! The egg was cooked perfectly but could not rehydrate the sawdust texture of the fried chicken. I couldn't believe it. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the original, but like pizza, even bad fried chicken is good; not this one. On the other hand, my five year old said his pancake was good and my wife enjoyed her waffle. So once again, it's just me being me. I wouldn't eat here again and the server short attitude irked me so I wouldn't even drink here.

Nashville hot chicken. It was so good I forgot to take picture before I ate half!!

Excellent fried chicken sandwich- made fresh and hot fresh fries. Excellent service. Our waitress was Tiffany and she was professional and delightful. I was concerned about getting too much sauce on my Nashville hot sandwich and she said - it's great and if you don't like it, I'll get you something else!! 2 cold beers made for a nice, acceptable wait!

This is the cutest Airport restaurant!! Very down home style and they play all 90s music!!! OMG my son was so sick of me!! I literally sing every song that came in. Our waitress was the best and kept asking me if I needed another drink, of course! LOL The food was cooked fresh, so it was hot! The Fish and chips (fries) was hot and crispy outside. The Fried chicken sandwich has slaw and pickles and was equally as good. I will caution you on thinking that you can share the cheesecake; it's small and SO GOOD!! It's soft with whipped crème and strawberries. Ask for chocolate sauce on the side ... so yummy. I barely got a picture before my son engulfed it!! We loved it! See you next time

We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

Our server Rachel was lovely and gave us a rundown of their specials and the menu's top hits. Our drink selections ranged from as boring as a Diet Coke to as fun as a seasonal lemonade. We were all content with our choices, though we puttered around making suggestions from their large drink menu. I typically go for a savory breakfast, but the stuffed brioche French toast was speaking to me. I can never turn down banana! The rest of our table ordered avocado toast (x2) and fried eggs with bacon. Everyone was really happy with their choices and an added bonus was that our food came out quickly. I insisted everyone at our table try a bite of my massive stuffed brioche French toast and the consensus was that it was ridiculously good. Though this spot is tiny, it is not to be missed.

Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. That's somewhat expected for a popular brunch spot on a weekend. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our waiter stopped by quickly with waters and took good care of us throughout the meal. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.
