We used a Baba Rentals's car during our week and a half on Oahu. Our son-in-law's parents used the agency for their car rental when they were visiting their son and our daughter and grandkids on the island a few weeks before our visit. They were impressed with Baba and so were we. The company is not a conventional car rental agency; it's better. No additional "hidden" fees. The business is straightforward. The most stressful part about my move to Oahu was not securing transportation. Savings make me and my pockets happy! I called everybody I could fine and their rate was hundreds of dollars cheaper. They offered the option to pickup for free since they are not on the airport or deliver. Even with the delivery fee, I saved hundreds of dollars. They left pictures on how to find the car and I was on my way while the other suckas waiting for their airport shuttle and lines to pay more than I did. I did have to bring my own insurance which covers me for rentals so it was all good! For return I chose pickup service and I just rolled into parking garage, left car their and they came to pick it up later. No hassle, no lines, no junk hidden fees. I was in Oahu on business and wanted reliable transportation at a fair costs. I don't care about having the newest 2018 vehicle but I didn't want to get stuck driving some bucket jalopy that would break down and leave me stranded. Baba rentals was great I saved ALOT compared to what I would have paid for renting from some big name company and the vehicle was great . I was afraid that the savings would come at a cost somehow, but when my rental car got a flat(I'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever) on a Saturday morning, I called Julian manager there and he got a tow truck out there to help me and get back out on the road asap. I was in Hawaii for my little sisters wedding, but since I had never been to Hawaii I planned on staying for 30 days and get to know Oahu I contacted a couple of rental places to see what it would costs to rent a reliable vehicle i could use to get around with my 2 yr old son. I was first looking for me to get a car while in Hawaii but at that time short term was not available which was perfect for my parents. Julian was able to accommodate them since they were staying 1 month and 1 day (6/7/16-7/7/16). My parents flight was delayed and I mean DELAYED, but Julian was great about meeting them regardless the time they came in. The car my parents used was the "Silver Bullet" a 4-door Toyota Corolla. The car ran perfect and a great gas saver. Communication was also opened and welcome with Baba Rentals. When I messaged Julian to let him know about the sad and sudden passing of my father he was really thoughtful. Arrangements was made for the drop off of the "Silver Bullet" at a neutral location because that was more convenient for my mom and they had no problem accommodating her. Personal note: Remember I when I said I was first looking for me? I found Baba Rentals threw another site, there were many car rental choices to choose from but for some reason Julian just felt right. After I hooked my parents up with Baba Rentals I continued to look for myself but was not comfortable with any other 'local rentals' Thankfully my Aunt allowed me to use her spare car for my stay. An overdue review of a great experience! I have to admit originally there was some anxiety taking the chance in renting from Baba Rentals. But with each communication with Julian that dissipated. Our car was waiting at the airport and performed without letting us down for 6 weeks. An older Nissan Sentra sedan, it met our needs perfectly hauling four adults around and over the island numerous times. Though we never met we never met whoever was at the other end of our texts, the level of 'customer service' was something the big guys might wish for. Julian was responsive when we had some intermittent window issues. All the paperwork we needed for restricted base access was in proper order. We were able to leave our car at the airport without problem. We would not hesitate to recommend Baba Rentals to family and friends. Our rental period was Oct/Nov 2018.
