I have rented cars from this location before, and they have been good experiences overall, but this past experience where I rented a car from Enterprise Waipahu for three days was not a good one. My car was at Les Brodie Waipahu for repairs and the manager at Lex Brodie promised to pay for the first day of car rental. There was however a mix up and poor communication, and this has happened before, so I was charged for one extra day. I tried calling today, Saturday and waited on the phone for someone to pick up, and finally after a long wait, someone did, the manager Jorge. I explained to Jorge the situation, but he was not friendly nor helpful, I kept trying to have to tell him to call Lex Brodie and talk to them and fix this overcharge. Should've he have thought of this himself? So, I am still waiting for the accounting department of Enterprise Waipahu to refund my money and I hope they do. Depending how this situation is handled will determine if I will continue to rent cars from Enterprise Waipahu. read more

Poor communication. When I picked up a rental due to accident repair, Enterprise verbally confirmed with repair shop I was approved for upgraded vehicle. After having rental for over 1 week, Enterprise calls and tells me I'm responsible for upgrade as repair shop is not approving upgraded rental. I had to call repair shop instead of Enterprise doing what they should be doing since they (Enterprise) confirmed vehicle size when I picked up rental. Enterprise did have initial notes that I was approved for upgraded vehicle when I picked up rental. Some where from when I picked up my vehicle and having for a week or so, there was a communication gap. I was left trying to fix it instead of Enterprise reviewing what was told to them initially and acting on that. read more

He was at the repair shop even before I arrived, with the car ready to go. He was friendly, answered all my questions, and made the process easy. I felt at ease driving away in the rental car. A week later, I returned the vehicle to Enterprise Waipahu (which is very well hidden behind Starbucks). Dante from Enterprise helped me with the return process. I needed to rent a car while car was in the repair shop, after a very upsetting experience. I was feeling sad and frustrated at the new expense that I was thrown into when my car was vandalized. Sad situation to say the least. It was the sympathy and patience of the young people working behind the counter, that made my bad experience, of that day, a lot less painful. After my car was fixed, I was able to return the rented car at a different location. I was immediately acknowledged and greeted when I arrived to the second location by Jennifer - she works at the airport enterprise Rent a car. Jennifer is polite and professional, she immediately informed me of a company shuttle van to transfer me to the auto shop to pick up my own car. I planned a trip in Waikiki in the second week of May and was looking to get a minivan to rent for a party of 7. With the car rental shortage, Waipahu was the closest one that was still available that still did not have an outrageous price. So I made a free reservation for a car pick up 12:30. The day prior of arriving to Oahu, I had called to make sure that there was still a vehicle available and the person who answered the phone had confirmed yes. I arrived right on the dot and check out was quick and simple. The lady who was assisting us was super friendly and we did a damage inspection/walkthrough. I was out in about 15 minutes. 5 days later, I had returned the car and inspection and that was also quick and easy. I had paid a 200 dollar deposit that was returned to me. They had honored the price of my reservation so no hidden fees. My suggestion to all is to book in advance. read more

Do not accept any fooling car insurance they will offer. They will trick you saying that it is only one time insurance amount for the entire rental.The truth was that it was per day . They will fool you to claim those amount to your primary insurance . If I can rate 0 star I do and NO NO NO to rent in this company anymore Surprise cost, hidden fees. read more

Only been here once so far. I called ahead to reserve a car and they had taken my info from my insurance company so everything went real smooth. All we had to do was check the car out and sign my life away to drive off with the rental. My insurance covered a certain amount which translated to what type of car you'd leave with. This location was very understanding to what my needs were as far as my family size and graciously gave me a car within that price range to fit my family. With my luck, I needed a car during the busiest time of the year and most of the islands cars were already rented out. Thanks to this location for working with me and saving my family's week! It was convenient knowing that I didn't have to return the vehicle to this location when I was done. The only reason I rented a car from Enterprise is through my insurance company. I know I'm new to HI, but why is the policy to use my debit card, that I have to give A UTILITY BILL and A PAYSTUB/ 3 REFERENCES?! If I reserve a vehicle, you need to TELL ME IN THE RESERVATION EMAIL that I need to bring this crap with me. I had to rent a vehicle while my baby was in the shop. Let's just say my vehicle got into a "fight" with my home garage!! Anyways, My insurance covers a rental and the closest enterprise to my house is this location. When I first arrived, I was greeted by the manager. He seemed nice but poorly put together. He was chewing gum like a horse and was walking around the store in socks and slippers. I get it, we're in Hawaii and slippers is a local thing but it is not appropriate in a business setting. The inside of this location is out dated and almost depressing. The workers are friendly but, in my opinion, sloppy. I waited a bit for my rental to come forward. The assistant manager came up to me and mentioned that the vehicle I was assigned had just come back from another guest. He informed me that it still needed to be washed and vacuumed. I was in a time crunch and needed to be back home within a half hour. I asked if there were any other cars but I needed a crossover SUV or something larger than a sedan. The assistant manager informed me that the only mid size was the Subaru that was just returned. He took me outside to look at it. Luckily, it wasn't filthy. He asked me if I wanted to take the Subaru "as is" and In return, he will waive my "full tank of gas" return. I agreed and took the Subaru. Car review- it serves its purpose. I ended up having the rental for a little over a week. Gross part: there were small roaches coming out of the air condition vents in the car. Overall: I had an ok experience. read more

I almost wanted to give a 2 stars here due to their customer service issue. It was bad from the day I picked up the car actually. Firstly, they said that the car was being washed and should be ready in 5 mins. Apparently, it took more than 15-20mins and when the car arrived, it's still looked dirty. Then, I was like 5 minutes away from the rental car when I called to ask if they could wait for me to return the car and they simply said, "NO". I was a little bit pissed, but oh well, I gotta return it the day after and it messed up my schedule abit. Anyhow, the guy who greeted me when I returned it, Ray, was really nice, he asked if I had any issue with the car and I simply said, "I have issues with the customer service" and told them the whole thing and he apologized. He gave me a card and told me that if I come back to Hawaii and rent Enterprise, they would give 10% off or free upgrade. I think it was a really nice gesture and providing better image for the company for him to do that. Therefore, I gave this experience a 3 stars instead. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I dropped my son off to rent a car, picked him up when it was over. Could have easily rented it myself and put him on as an additional driver. But Enterprise charged him $300 without telling him because he's under 26 years old. That's more than the actual car rental! Yes it was on the contract. No they didn't explain it to him. F ing ripoff. No one in my family will EVER use Enterprise anywhere ever again. read more

I rent here because my mechanic is across the intersection in Waipahu Industrial. These guys are efficient and professional, and I have driven a range of cars that are always clean and in great working condition. Last time I rented I was running up against my return time and they gave me a call to say I could extend if I wanted to. Even when they are slammed with people the staff are courteous and personable. Pickup service is timely and drivers are very nice. I don't enjoy renting if I'm not traveling but these folks make it a relatively painless experience. Worse customer service ever. My vehicle needed mechanical repair and apparently rental car would be through Enterprise Waipahu. Customer service, I would definitely say NEGATIVE 5. Is that the worse? OK good. I called them for a courtesy transportation and requested time pickup. After a minute of conversation and I was still talking the guy hangs up. Very rude. Then the "MANAGER" informed me to bring a document of a bill and pay stub to rent a car, before knowing that I could get a loaner car from car service. I informed the "MANAGER" that I was unable to provide that information since everything is on-line now from bills to pay stub. And rudely told me "I can't help you". Seriously? Why do you have a business up in the first place if you can provide an EXCELLENT customer service. MORE TO THIS, but this part I would just share. P.S. Okay so why I needed a car??? was because on Dec 19 2010 a DUI lady banged my car and I had to get a rental and the staff well they were VERY short handed and got to me in like 45 min BUT the service was omg the best!!!! Made me forget that I waited 45min.... Poor customer service, short staffed, hidden fees, surprise costs! This is not the place to rent anything!

It was my first time as a customer & the guy that assisted me was not really customer oriented. Right when I walked in a wave of 10+ people started showing up forming a long line behind me. Honestly, it was my first time for everything & this guy was already rushing me. He was a little distracted & nervous because of the long line behind me. He made my overall experience awful because I felt like he was degrading me for not following the instructions given when I made the booking. He kept saying he'll help me but I already knew he was distracted because the people behind me asked him where all the workers were that he was the only one serving us. I kinda felt bad for him but I just wish he never made me look stupid in front of 10+ people behind me. I only voted one star because it was one of the worst day & customer service I've experienced this month. Please hire people that can tolerate pressure during peek hours as well have patience to deal with not knowledgeable people like me as he thinks I was when he served me. read more
