My 15 YO work truck was damaged on the rear bumper and driver side bed panel. I was not at fault of the incident and, other party claim full responsibility. About 2 months ago, I scraped the side of my car while reversing into a cramped parking stall that was next to a concrete wall. Not my proudest moment. Anyway, the next morning I began looking through yelp for auto body places who could help me with my blunder. I decided on Baba's Auto Gloss because of the consistent high reviews left by their customers. I requested a quote through Yelp and quickly received a response. I sent some pictures of the damages to my car and was quoted a price for the cost of repairs. Fair enough, I booked an appointment about a month out from my initial contact. All of the communication was done through text, which was great, and I even got a text reminding me of my appointment date :) I dropped my car off on Monday 8/5/19. I was told they were a little short so the repairs might take a while. Which was fine, I was in no rush. The damage was minimal and hardly noticeable at night and even through our pictures, but the car was damaged nonetheless. Baba's Auto Gloss was the second of five places we brought it to for an estimate. By far, this place was the best of them. Not only was the estimate the lowest, they were the most professional and welcoming shop I've ever been too. Everything from the appointment, the estimate, drop-off, concerns and pick-up was spot on. From the second I got on site, Paul Baba went to work. He did the estimate himself and walked me through any questions and concerns. I asked Paul if he could "clean up" the front license plate holes and what he could do about some wind deflectors my son and his friends had unprofessionally installed themselves. He said he would take care of it. Only after he gave me his card, did I realize that he was the President of the shop. Very confident to know that the person your dealing with is the boss, who knows exactly what his customers want and not only how to get it done, but also the time and cost. I recently purchased a nice 1957 Chevy Bel Air on auction. It's my all-time favorite. My first car was a 1957 Chevy Bel Air that I had as a young guy in 1960, courting the girl of my dreams. Now, 62 years later, I'm 82 and married to same woman, we had to have a `57 Bel Air back in our lives. The car came from Chicago and is a beautiful specimen in every respect. Just one thing that I needed to do, and that is to remove a few murals (of an eagle's head and written in script, "Yesterday's Chevrolet" on the back of the trunk lid. While they were fairly well done, it was just not my cup of tea, and I had to remove it as soon as the car landed in Honolulu. A few weeks before it's arrival in Honolulu, I browsed the internet and Yelp for an Auto Body Shop that could remove the murals by painting the trunk lid and matching the existing body color. Baba's Auto Gloss appeared to be the best, and with many five-star reviews. I contacted Paul, and I immediately was impressed with his friendly and very professional demeanor. I explained what I wanted and, in a few days, received an estimate which was very reasonable. So, I gave Paul my approval and kept him informed on the expected arrival at Matson. When the car arrived, and after a few arrival protocols, I dropped it off to Baba's. It literally took a day-and-a-half when Paul called me to tell me that the work was complete and would be ready for pick up the next morning. I was totally "blown away" when I picked up the car; their high quality and professionalism were obvious. I could never be more satisfied with their work. Paul and Willy (and their guys) are amazing!! They took care of my baby... my truck... after wifey forgot that it wasn't as short as a Mini when coming down her parking garage at work. Wifey described it as a "scratch" down the side of the back passenger door and down the back panel. Oh I wish I took a pic of her face cause she looked so afraid. I was thinkin ok, not so bad if it's just a scratch and I could jus use touch up paint. When I went out to see what the damage was... HOLY COW!!!! It was NOT jus a "scratch"! It was a GOUGE from the middle of the back passenger door and dented the frame where the door closes all the way down the back panel over the tire juuuus about stopped before the back tail light! O...M...G!!! Sigh... Hence the coming here to get her fixed. I never heard wifey say sorry soooo many times on the way home. Ok so we got insurance estimates and recommendations from friends. We heard so many awesome reviews about this place from friends and on Yelp. Sooo glad we came here!! It took a lil longer than the estimated 7 days, but gotta figure we live on the east side and Baba's is in Waipahu. We could only come on weekends. Soooo 2 wks we pick up the truck. All I could say was... Where was the "scratch" wifey? I was so happy I wanted to give Paul and Willy a hug! It looked like there was no damage at all!! After we drove off and a few days later the black side molding on the door that was fixed fell off. Hehhh??? Ok so the molding came off cleanly and the adhesive tape was nicely stuck to the truck. How the heck did that happen?? So we call Paul and Willy back the next day and they tell us to come in the next Saturday to get a new replacement. Poor Paul has to use the variable speed grinder (not sure what kind of pad he used) to take off the adhesive tape from the truck. About 30 mins later he cleans up and puts the new molding on and shakes the truck to make sure it stays. Two days later the molding falls off again in a downpour at work. We called Paul again and told him. They were busy that weekend but we scheduled to come in the following Saturday, which was this past Saturday. Another 30-45mins with the grinder and serious rubbing from one of the guys and the new molding is on! Paul said this molding was different than the previous ones (Chevy got a bad batch before). I recently took my car to Baba's Auto Gloss for some body work after an accident. I never expected to say this about an auto shop, but it's a wonderful place and I had a fantastic experience. Willy was extremely responsive over the phone during the scheduling/ insurance process, texting me frequent updates about the ETA for my car's parts. When it came time to drop my car off, I got a rental car through Enterprise, and they sent a shuttle over to Baba's to pick me up. When I arrived that morning, Paul got a chair for me and called Enterprise himself to let them know that I was ready for my pickup. As an unexpected perk, their adorable little dog sat and waited with me until my ride showed up, lol. They got my car done in no time and when I came to pick it up, they had washed and vacuumed my car, which I was not expecting and was SUCH a nice surprise. Today (Thursday) I was supposed to pick up my car, but instead I got it back on Tuesday! Baba's is awesome!!! Back up to December, my husband got into a minor accident with our brand new car (we literally just took off the paper plates). Thankfully no one was hurt and the other car had no damage. Our new car unfortunately had its rear passenger corner smashed in bad. I immediately went to Yelp looking for an auto body repair shop close to home. Baba's was one of the top shops listed. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures, all good. Then I saw I could connect with them through Yelp for an estimate. I sent a message and not long after I got a reply. I had to send them a few pictures and they quoted me right away with what I feel was a good price and said they estimated it would take 3 days to fix. Turns out we needed to replace the panel because it was that bad. Because of this they couldn't take us right away since they needed to order the part, but they scheduled me for as soon as they could. After having to drive for 2 weeks with a smashed corner on the car, the day came (Monday) for my husband to drop the car off with Baba's. They were ready and expecting him when he got there. Super friendly. The next morning (Tuesday) I got a text from Baba's saying the car would be fixed that day and that we could pick it up that afternoon! My husband went down around 130pm and got the car. It was beautiful again. All fixed and clean!!! Everything about this process was super easy and worth it. It sucks when your car gets damaged but this experience was nothing like the horror stories I hear from my friends about getting their cars fixed. Baba's was quick in responding and quick in work. I was able to email, text and talk to someone on the phone. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Greeted my husband every time he went there and made sure he was happy with their work. After getting quotes and visiting 5 other body & paint shops I landed on Baba's. I had a minor repair and just needed a patch job and paint blend. I was quoted thousands from other shops for a job I knew I could get away with for around $500. Paul, the owner responded to my quote request within hours.
