low quality meat and A1 like sauce (just edible)

This is a retroactive post as a warning to others. I mean you can eat it.... I visited Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club during the summer of June 2023. Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club is located right outside of the Many Glacier area of Glacier national park. It was very crowded at dinner time. We had a large part of 8. Seating only took 15 minutes but we had to wait 2.5 hours for our food to come. All of the steaks were of low quality and covered with some sort of A1 like sauce. They were huge steaks but really just didn't hit the spot. For the money we paid, about $35 to $45 a steak (depending on the cut), everyone in my family who had steak was underwhelmed. It came with some vegetables that were soggy and the baked potato was acceptable. After a long day of hiking, we were starving and waiting for almost 3 hours to eat was no fun. The waitress was attentive but we frequently ran out of water. The chairs were hard and most uncomfortable. Our drinks took 1 hour to show up. No compensation was given for our long wait. I was not impressed and would not return.

Point for friendly service. Foods are under average due to new team under training for the new season. The salmon was under cook. The pasta was sweet. I think they refill the salt container with sugar. The inside of the place is very nice with rustic construction and deco. Too bad the food is not satisfying.

We absolutely love this spot! It's only open during the summer season and it's a treat to come here when we are in Montana once a year! Every place setting has a little history or information about the Blackfeet Nation, and the building is also decorated with Blackfeet art, photos, and stories. Love the food. The steaks are juicy and the sauce is so flavorful! The potato is topped with a some green onions and sour cream. I will let the photos speak for themselves!

Great restaurant outside of GNP in Babb, MT. The food was great and the menu pictures are still current. You got a great cut of meat with sides, salad, and bread for less than ~$50, which you cannot find anywhere else (or at least I haven't). My fiancé got the filet and it was so tender he was able to cut it with a spoon. Our service was quick and wonderful. Could dress up or come as you are. Loved supporting a local and Native American-owned business!

Service terrible. We waited 15 -20 minutes and the waitress was speaking to a patron about her life. We left.

There was a lot of heavy cream on the menu, but that's a minority objection that I know most people don't share. For our chosen dishes, the overall vibe was contemporary Californian, which is a pretty unusual vibe to walk into without a reservation, and did I mention it's within a national park? By comparison on the USA side, Many Glacier Hotel's restaurant is perfectly fine and quite scenic but it doesn't hold a candle to this place, whose food I'd actually be willing to eat again in a regular city with competition. We walked in as a 2-top but larger groups would probably want to make a reservation.

The wait staffs here (only 2) were ultra busy because the restaurant got full pretty fast. However, they were both friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ordered some ales, bison lasagna, hamburger, and tiramisu. Bison lasagna was very delicious, and hamburger was one of the best I had in a long time. Tiramisu was also delicious, maybe not the traditional flavour, but still very good. I will easily go back here next time I am in Waterton! Thank you so much for such a great service!

Everything we had was delicious. What made the evening even more special was our waitress, Jamie. She was incredible! Her friendly, genuine service made us feel so welcome and truly elevated our experience. Great food, beautiful views, and outstanding customer service--we couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner! Highly recommend!

We received a warm welcome and were sat at a great table overlooking the lake. Our server was kind and attentive. HOWEVER, the house red wine started at $15 a glass (for a wine that retails at $20). We then both ordered the rack of lamb for $60. The plate came with 4 overcooked ribs in a runny bordelaise sauce, goat cheese risotto (which was undercooked and under-seasoned), and tarragon carrots (also undercooked). After eating a bit, I ended up boxing up my dish and taking it back to my air bnb, where I seasoned and finished cooking up my sides and made a makeshift red wine reduction sauce.

She made mention that it was locally owned, AND it was the only one of the 3 restaurants she named which was open before 4pm, which is when we were there, so we trekked on over. We arrived behind a large party of about 8 people and were the only other table in the restaurant. They - or should I say he - took our order quickly and were willing to accommodate a special request (to have a breakfast dish after their stated cutoff time due to a wheat allergy; almost everything on the lunch menu is breaded/fried, so I couldn't eat it). It was clearly Native-owned, which I was happy to support. However, the poor guy who took our order was the only one in the place. He was doing everything: stocking, cleaning, taking orders, cooking. We were there for nearly an hour when the other party's food came out. By this point, we had figured out that he was flying solo, so we were sort of hoping our food would come out at the same time. It didn't. We asked if ours had been started yet, and it hadn't. Seeing that we were staying 3 hours from the park, we had to leave to meet up with our family without having any lunch. This could easily have been avoided with a little communication from the get-go: "Hey, a large party just came in ahead of you. Just so you know, it's probably going to be an hour or more before you see any food." We would have left then and had time to get lunch before starting our drive back to Augusta. As it was, we paid for our 1 drink, made do with whatever snacks we had, and hit the road. Can't comment on the food and the guy was super nice, so I hate to leave a not-great review, but I can't imagine what would have happened if 2 or more of the parties from our boat ride had arrived at the same time we had. I think a little work on the staffing side would do wonders.
