I ordered take out from Chengs last night. I placed the order online, in the late afternoon, for pickup at 715PM. Very convenient! This was my first time ordering there and I chose it because they have both Japanese and Chinese food in our case sushi and Chinese Singapore noodles. Although the restaurant is a small storefront on RTE 50 in Ocoee, the kitchen did a terrific job. The sushi was creative and fresh and delicious, passing the taste test of my sushi-expert guest. The Singapore noodles had the perfect heat, in a very large portion stuffed with shrimp, chicken and pork. I am a long, long time fan of Singapore noodles (and Asian noodle dishes in general, having traveled extensively in Asia) and these were easily the best I ever had in Florida. Plus the order was ready on time. I believe if you are looking for good food for takeout or delivery in that area, give they a try; you might end up a regular. read more

We had some Uber Eats credits to use so we decided to order some buy one get one free eggrolls from this location for pick up. They were fresh made and really good. This is the first time I've been inside the restaurant. It's nothing fancy. It reminded my if a diner. They do have a sushi station so that would be fun to see when it's active. read more

The food was ok. We had order for pick up staff was quick to attend to us. From what I saw, the inside looked clean and well maintained. We order chicken fried rice which I doubt I'll order again the chicken tasted funny, not in it's gone bad type of way but just as in the chicken bits got weird texture to them but the rice alone is well, rice. Second I had gotten 2 G4 Spicy Crunch roll. I was confused as to whether there were actually two in there but for ~8$ you get 2 imo very small rolls of sushi (cut into 8 small rolls) that is not like crunch rolls that I've known( the once where they are fried on the outside) but it's fake crab meat with panko or something similar on the inside. I had a huge craving for soup and I saw this restaurant on UberEats and they had one of my favorites, chicken corn soup. They only offered it in the large size, but that was fine because I always want soup and this just means another helping for another day. I also decided to try their krab Rangoon which is one of my favs. This was AMAZING. Honestly, between the wontons and the dip, it tasted more like dessert. The soup could have used a little bit more flavor, maybe a little more salt, but was still good. My partner got the pan fried chicken dumplings which was a generous portion of 10 dumplings. We have visited several times. Their prices have gone up significantly with the California roll ($8.19) now costing more than a tuna roll ($5 something). The lunch specials look affordable-but outside of those hours it's out of our budget when we can get the same quality food at a buffet for the same price. We didn't get refills on our water and felt very rushed. Overall it was ok, clean and never busy but we will probably not drive the 30 mins here past multiple other spots. read more

I came here for lunch today and I wasn't a fan. I tried their lunch special which starts as low as $7.00 and includes a soup, eggroll and pork fried rice. I thought having all those included would be nice but it fell short in my eyes. Food: I got the Teriyaki Chicken (with the things listed above) and swapped the soup for another eggroll since I'm not really a soup person. The chicken pieces were big flat pieces that weren't very flavorful even with the sauce and my rice was hard and didn't seem fresh. I understand that during lunch they probably pre-make the rice, but this tasted like it was a day old, not moist and even the pork fried pieces were hard. I wasn't a fan of my meal AT ALL! Positives: The staff was very friendly and attentive and the complimentary wonton strips they provided on the table were fresh. I especially enjoyed the duck sauce that came with the wontons as well. This is the second time I have ordered to go from Cheng's and it seems the sushi seems consistent from the last time I ordered. The sushi rice rolls were too mushy and it was very hard for me to finish it. I don't think I will be ordering sushi from here again. I also go the crab rangoon and it was overly powerful by the cream cheese. The Mixed soup with wonton and egg drop soup was pretty decent and edible. All the foods we ordered this afternoon were disgusting. The fried rice with shrimp was bland. The egg soup is full of starch. The orange chicken meat was crewy. Pad thai was very sour and slimy. My family loves this place. The wings are literally the only wings my daughter will eat. Their sushi selection is great and their Chinese selections are awesome too. My personal favorite is the curry rice noodles which I call Singapore chow mei fun...but I think it's got a different name on their menu...it comes with curry fried egg, scallions, pork, and chicken and angel hair pasta. My partner and I decided to try this restaurant after receiving a few coupons in the mail. I was nervous after reading the reviews, but we wanted to try something new. We entered, were given menus, and seated. The menus smelled like a sour mop, which made me feel uneasy. The waitress approached us and asked if we wanted any starters. When I asked for two pieces of octopus, the waitress suddenly became agitated. My companion noticed and laughed it off. When it was time to order the remainder of our meal, the waitress was not writing anything... My partner assumed she was a professional with an excellent memory. AAANNH, WRONG! She served me the wrong soup and him the wrong entree. We should have spoken up and asked her to go back into the kitchen to get our proper order. Furthermore, the rice she gave us smelt like an old book... Btw, there was another table. The two tables are then checked by a male server. He checked the other table more frequently than ours. My partner believes he may have irritated him by simply asking the male server what his entree was. Why would not he ask? It was not the right entree, so my partner inquired about what he had been served. When it came time to leave, we asked for to-go boxes. The female waitress returns and presents us with three small boxes. My partner has ribs and needed a larger box to fit everything in. The female waitress took his food and shoved it into the small box. Then she does the same with mine. We were taken aback and did not know what to say because why would she do that? We ensured she did not receive a tip. I believe she expected one because when my partner went to pay, she stared at him afterward as if she was expecting more. Love, love, love their sushi! The rolls as innovative and unique and taste amazing! The Rainbow Spicy Tuna Sandwich roll is my favorite! I remembered to get a picture this time. While it is a little messy to eat, it's fantastic!! I also ordered the salmon and tuna shashimi. The fish is very fresh and the pieces are large. I've also had the Louisiana roll and the Dragonfly roll - both were just great. As a typical student, I was studying next door at the Starbucks and I got hungry. To my surprise there was a Chinese place nearby so I placed an order online for carry out so I wouldn't have to wait at the restaurant. Tip: If you order online, make sure you include your email so you can get a message when the food is done. Otherwise, the food should be ready within 15 minutes. I ordered Chicken Chow Mein (Chicken with vegetables with steamed white rice) with low expectations but I was blown away by how good it was! The chicken was flavorful but not too much. Just enough. There's a vicious sauce in the veggies and chicken that brings out a nice texture. The meal comes with a side of steamed white rice that perfectly complements the dish. Usually I would have not enough rice or too much rice for my dish at other Chinese restaurants but I think they perfected the rice ratio here haha. During my short time picking up my food, I met the owner that was an angel! She was super nice and explained to me what the difference my dish was to Lo Mein. Apparently these two dishes were frequently confused with each other. She was very down to Earth and it was a treat to talk to her. Don't forget to say hi when you come to this restaurant. I went here for lunch with some friends and I went with General Tso's. The server was very nice and possibly was the actual owner. She was quick and made sure to bring out what we asked for. Regarding the food, on the positive side it came out really quickly, which is important when on a lunch break. The negative is that the food wasn't very good. I had the impression that the fried rice was leftover from the day before and reheated. The chicken was rubbery, but the sauce on it tasted good. The miso soup was really good. A solid suburb Chinese staple. When we're looking for Chinese takeout, Cheng's has been our go-to for the last few years. They not only serve your standard Americanized Chinese, but also sushi! They have great sushi combos where you can get some low level sushi for a great price. Normally my husband and I split the General Tsos and a 3-sushi combo. My husband and I haven't been to Cheng's Asian Bistro in awhile so we thought that we would stop in for lunch. They offer a lunch special where you choose an entree from a list and they add an egg roll and soup to complete the meal. They have a long list of Sushi rolls and offer a Sushi Special. The special allows you to pick between two or three rolls and includes Miso Soup. We ordered a Lighthouse Roll, Dragon Fly Roll and a Lava Roll. The Lava Roll was my least favorite. It was made with white fish tempura, asparagus, crab salad and topped with baked fish and masago. The Roll was made perfectly and was fresh but I did not care for the taste. The Dragon Roll was my favorite. The crab and cucumber taste great together and the spiced eel and avocado that topped it made it extra tasty. We added an order of chicken dumplings and BBQ Ribs. The dumplings were good but taste similar to a frozen product and the ribs were somewhat dry. For a small charge you can have your food delivered. Usually within 45 minutes. read more

Cheng's is ok. Basic Chinese food - not as basic as the normal take-out, but it still does't have a "wow" factor. Cheng's has a good sushi deal, $8 for two rolls and some soup. Sushi they are on point and really deliver - but it's everything else that leaves you wanting more or questioning if it was worth ordering. I've never been impressed with their customer service either. Always seems like it's a struggle, especially if your asking for something extra or adding onto an order during pick-up. This place is food for a lunch stop, but again, it's not a PF Changs, Kobe or another higher in Chinese restaurant deeper into Orlando. But again, it's not that much better than your normal hole in the wall Chinese joint. read more

We are from NJ/NY area and have not found good Chinese food in the area. We heard good things about Cheng's so we were excited to try it. We were seated immediately but we didn't leave for 90 minutes after we were seated. Only go if you have lots of time to spare. It was only 90 minutes because we asked for our main course to be boxed up after only a few bites and for our check 15 minutes before we got our meal. So if we actually had time to eat our meal and get dessert we would've been there for two hours. What took so long? The very slow slow service. Took a long while to be asked what drinks we wanted. The. We had to finally ask someone to take our food order. Received our appetizers relatively quickly. But our main course took forever. Was never brought glasses of water, had to ask for them. Children's drinks were never refilled. Plates and dishes were never cleared until i stacked hem all and placed them at the end of the table. The food? We ordered the app plate and everything on it was good. Rangoon was a little too runny, spring roll, chicken wings, ribs, and beef on a stick were all good. Main courses were ok. Husband general tso was a little tough and overcomes. Sons bourbon chicken was very good. Pork fried rice was hard. The food was ok but the service was terrible. The only good thing was they give you a generous amount of sake for $6. read more
