I had scheduled a simple oil change for the morning. It took the two hours to complete the task and when asked multiples times why it was taking so long when there wasn't many cars being worked on my boyfriend was told sorry I'm talking on the phone. My boyfriend asked multiple times why no one was working on car when we had to brought the Car early. Rude service would not take my car back at all. UPSET. We had an 10 AM appointment but our vehicle not taken in until after 1PM. And vehicle was not ready until 3:30PM. It took 5 and a half hours. I don't understand why they give us a 10AM appointment and not get to us until 3 hours later meanwhile waiting in their dirty waiting room. The most incompetent service department ever. I scheduled an appointment to have my brakes done. After I drove 37 miles, I was told that they didn't have anyone to work on them. I have been taking my F-150 to the service department for oil changes and also for maintenance on my truck. Everytime I take my truck in there is always an issue with the integrity of service. I paid $1000 to have my 4 wheel drive serviced to have it break less than a month later and had to fight to have it fixed without a charge. Oil changes they check everything off as being full but when I get into my truck the wind shell wiper fluid is bone dry the excuse is oh sorry we are out so we just checked it is full??? last visit I made an appointment for oil change and have the transmission issues diagnose, we drove from Williams to Flagstaff they told us it will be ready by 5pm (appointment was at 10am) so we went back home then recieved a call at 2 pm telling us they cannot look at transmission because they are too busy what the heck we made an appointment for this service??? I do not know what is going on there but I will drive to Winslow or Prescott to another dealership before going to Babbit Ford service center again. very poor service!! read more

Well let me begin. I had a sensor go out in my truck. I took it to Babbit Ford figuring they would take of the issue. It took 2 days before they checked the truck. Then 2 days for the part to come in. Then they come back "you need this and that" . Then they let me drive the truck with no speedometer and the problem was getting worst. They have poor communication skills(Jack). They could of told me not to drive it for safety reasons. Then the part it needed was installed. Ever again will I do business with this shop again. I do not recommend this company for any thing. I wanted to speak with the manager but he was unavailable. This shop does not deserve any stars in my opinion. read more

SERVICE I brought my truck in for a steering problem and was told I needed a new steering assembly. Had a second opinion and it was a minor repair. Again, I had a braking problem and was told I needed an ABS Pump. Had a second opinion and it was another minor repair. Fast forward to this year: I had an oil change done and they said my drain plug was broken due to overtightening and charged me an extra $25. They were the ones who have been changing it since since I bought it in 2020! They told me they had the best tire prices in town. That may be, but the additional costs outweighed the savings! Ended up going to Discount Tire (for the same tires I was quoted) with all their warranties for $200 less. Never trust the dealer. read more

They didn't even acknowledge we were standing there and after asking for assistance they looked over and said just a minute and continued talking. This is why I'll go with another car brand. I called the service dept. today because my wife is on the road traveling thru Flagstaff and the car suddenly shut off at a stop. Then moments later the car info panel flashed and then indicated that a oil change was necessary. Ok, nothing to be alarmed about (preprogrammed in vehicle) except she's on the road and needs the car checked to ensure she will make it home safely. The service dept could have cared less and said that they're busy and the next available appointment was on the 15th. Hum! Quality and customers service number one my ass!!!! I had a terrible experience with Fritz Barnard, Babbits online sales manager. Multiple colleagues of mine have also had poor experiences with Fritz. I feel it warranted a review to give notice to the community. I asked very simple questions about the f150 I was test driving. Fritz didn't know the answer to many of them and gave multiple condescending responses through out my experience. I was low balled on my trade-in (offered $4k and told it was in poor condition.) I later sold it private party for $7.5k because it was in great condition. When you buy a car from Babbit's you're brought into what looks like a mobile home from the 1950's that smells like asbestos. You're told to sit in chairs also from the 50's most likely coated in lead paint. Expect to see many desperate salesmen roaming the small trailer and running around the parking lot trying off load rotting inventory on to vulnerable windowshoppers. The last thing Fritz said to me as I left the dealer lot was, "Don't go shop around or talk to other dealerships about the truck you want, just buy through us because we're local." If you buy a vehicle from Babbit Ford, expect to pay $10K-$20k more than if you bought one through a dealer in Phoenix or better yet, a broker like Ash Auto Group in Phoenix. read more

Two stars was generous, and only because I believe the vehicle was repaired properly, and they had a friendly shuttle driver. Here is my story: We were on our way to Page AZ for a week of houseboating form San Antonio TX , when on Sunday a few hours out of Flagstaff we started having what we thought were transmission problems. The next morning I was at the service department when the opened because we knew it would not be a one day fix. We rented a car and left ours, and waited for a call with an estimate. We never received a call, so we called the dealership prior to being out of WiFi range, and were given an estimate for a turbocharger replacement, and were assured it would be complete in a week. When we were back in cell range to check on the repair, we were told to expect the repair that day(and a call when it was finished). I called at 4:00 that afternoon and was told that a new failure was found that had not been seen before, and that another part was needed with at least a two day wait. I asked if a rush on the part was possible, and he said that it was expensive, and sounded surprised that I would consider it ( they did waive the shipping charge, after the advisor said that he asked his manager, the service manager later said he knew nothing of that conversation). I never received one proactive communication from the dealership, there was never a sense of urgency, or concern for our situation. Their phone system also put me to a Dish Network add when I tried to call on Sunday. read more

Very disappointed in service department and their customer service Our Ford Explorer was towed into their service sept a week ago. They said they would not be able to look at it until the next day. A week later and several calls with no call back; told today it's just being brought in to look at. No one has bothered to tell us this. Let's say I was not pleased and extremely upset. Good thing we have not gotten snow or we would be stuck on our property. Unless you must take it there due to warranty issues; I'd take it anywhere other than there. Hyundai can Service any vehicle. The manager I dealt with was extremely confrontational to the point where I called the police, but ended up not following through due to me not wanting to deal with a big hassle. I had parked there for all of 30 seconds to drop off a resume at a near by business (they had very confusing parking) and after on employee gave me the OK to park there the manager stormed out of the office yelling at me. Minimal wheeling and dealing to get a good price, no attempts to coerce me into something I didn't want, and I was single at the time so I came alone. Financing was better than my credit union could offer as well. Stopped in today to kill some time since we're considering replacing my husband's vehicle. Sales guy takes his time strolling over (it is Flagstaff), and doesn't try to sell me anything, accepts that I'm just looking. Turns out he went to high school with my mom in Ajo of all places. I needed a price on a new transfer case which Ford now produces standard part w drain plug for all years makes - one parr. first, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE IN EITHER SERVICE NOR PARTS DEPTS. do, I called sales after 10 rings a senior lady answered where I said no answer I need to speak to someone. She said nothing before me on hold & pleasant woman from Service picked up. I asked what their rate was on a Transfer Case Fluid Change Service was. I figured the dealership would be competent in having a base range for things that service regularly like they confirm to change at 30k mi. I gave her year make model class w confidence BUT SHE WANTED THE VIN NUMBER. I explained my cat parked a little far & I am physically disabled & I was confident on the vehicle. She refused & tried AS IF to explain thsts it's standard for them to require that -- not really!!! she wouldn't even give me the price on a transfer case. We all understand, Babbit that parts may later be required & extra labor! Base price & courtesy is basic information for service person to have SOME KIND OF IDEA of cost or labor involved etc. this person just wanted to plug it in & read. It told me this dealership trusts ppl who know ZERO ABOUT VEHICLES AND SERVICE IN GENERAL. The attitude was wrong as well. Your clients are treated like children when spoken to there no courtesy or effort to answer the phone even. Too bad so sad. My husband went to Babbit Ford this morning to get a new key made for our Expedition that has the key fob attached to the key. They told him it would be $162 for the key but that they don't cut the key there and that he would have to go to Flagstaff Lock and Key to get it cut and once he did that bring it back to Babbit and they will program it to our vehicle. He went to Flag lock and key and they cut it for $5. He then took it back over to Babbit like they said to have it programmed, where they then informed him that it would be an additional $145 for them to do that. They made no mention of that when he was first there and got the quote for how much the key would be. He went back over to flagstaff lock and key and they programmed it for $85 and said had we gotten the key there the key itself would have only been $90 compared to the $162 we paid at Babbit Ford. We have never had good encounters with Babbit but with them being the only Ford dealership in town we thought we were limited. Never again!! Had we done the whole process with Babbit we would have spent $312 whereas Flagstaff Lock and Key we would have spent $180. And what really makes me mad is that Babbit wasn't upfront about the cost from the beginning and waited till we already paid for the key and got it cut to tell us that it was going to cost us a another $145. What a joke!! I will never give Babbit my business! read more

Let me start of by saying that If I could give them a zero review I would. My truck would not start at the Grand Canyon and I had it towed into Babbit Ford. It took them two days just to look at the truck to make sure that it was not a battery or some other electrical problem. They finally found that the AC compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. After eight days they told me the job was done and I headed to their shop to pick up the truck. They presented me a bill that was over three hundred dollars more that the quote. After some words they adjusted the bill. I had gotten five miles down the road and the a/c was not working. I brought it back and they found a blown fuse. When I got home three days later, the engine was making noise. I took it to my local Ford dealer and the AC system had shaving throughout the system. They never did a proper flush. My local Ford dealer had to replace everything again. Babbit Ford has a two year warranty for their work. They have never sent me a dime for the warranty. I am working with Visa to cancel the visa payment. I contacted the Ford Corporation and they were appalled by the actions of Babbit Ford. The Ford Corporation payed for 2/3 of the work even though it was not there responsibility. In my correspondence with the management at Babbit Ford I found that they were very dishonest and very very rude. I do not live in Flagstaff, but if I did I would never take anything to Babbit Ford. They are dishonest in their billing and cannot do a simple AC repair job. read more

Review I went in to make an appointment to have my 2015 Mustang GT serviced and was told that they could take care of it the following morning at the time that worked into my schedule. I was told that the service would take about an hour, so I decided to just remain at the dealership while my car was serviced. Sure enough, in less than an hour my Mustang was ready to go and I received a detailed list of everything that was done during the servicing. I was able to relax, have a cup of coffee and talk to the person who sold me the car a year earlier. All in all the experience was very good and now I can drive knowing that my Mustang is safe on the road. read more

It's ironic that I wrote a 5-star review not long ago for our brand new Ford we bought at Babbitt. The Sales experience was great. NOT the case with their Service Dept. We have had the new vehicle in for Service twice now. The first time, they were supposed to have it back in 1 day, which wound up being 5 days... and rolled into a holiday, so we had to cancel the trip we had planned as we couldn't pick the vehicle until after the holiday since they only told us it was done at 5 pm the Friday before the holiday, and we are 1-1/2 hr away and couldn't get there in 5 minutes. The second (and last time) was to do an oil change. While they promised 1 hour, they took 2 hours. When we asked when we dropped it off if they could make us a new key and look at calibrating the speedometer the Service Manager, Jim (what a piece of work he is - very rude, obnoxious, and negative) that it would be very expensive and would take a whole day, at least (to make a new key) and they couldn't recalibrate the speedometer, and even if they tried they'd have to charge us just to see if they could do it. We'll be getting our Service done elsewhere. Pity. read more

Terrible service department. At first I was hoping it was only my experience, but after reading the reviews and having my own experience, Babbitt sounds almost criminal! I brought in a 2012 F-150 for a vehicle shudder. The first time I explained to them what I had found out from another mechanic and what had already diagnosed. I return 8 hours later and all that was done was what I had already accomplished. Ultimately they did nothing, didn't even drive it to experience the shudder Per their suggestion I bring it back a second time, to have their "tech" look at it, update transmission programing. Problem still not even close to being solved. At this point, I intend on bringing the vehicle down to the Valley. Instead I get a call from the service department stating I have a part that has come in and if I could bring a my vehicle in. This is the is the criminal part! No part was ordered, it was another suggested update to the Transmission from Ford, which I don't believe to the be case in hindsight but and opportunity to charge me! After having my vehicle for 4 days in total, and absolutely no headway in fixing the vehicle, I walk out with a bill of $600 NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED FOR THIS MONEY. The Diagnosis, a $6000 transmission. I would not have even come in had they not expressed that there was another transmission update, I was never consulted to about the cost, because I would not have paid it. Wait not done. Not trusting the service depart already and their shady practices, I take the truck to Phoenix. In 2 hours I get a call that tells me it is the Torque Converter and it will only be $2000. In 48 hours the truck is done and shudder gone! Amazing what a competent service department can do! I almost can not believe they are still in business with this type of service! It is terrible to see so many poor reviews, but please research and if you are not desperate, take your vehicle to the Valley. You will receive better honest, service. My first time there to have both differentials and transfer case serviced and I was impressed and pleased. Their appointment system is first class and I was in and out in 2 1/2 hours. For two weeks prior I was increasingly frustrated trying to find a mechanic for these simple, but filthy, tasks - no one wanted to do the job here in Flagstaff. Ascot Auto has an impressive looking internet appointment system, but what good is it if they don't bother to e-mail back after 3 e-mails sent. I crawled under my explorer today to inspect (I am retired USAF aircraft maintenance) Babbitt's excellent work. They did a good clean job. Last year I had E. side Big O service my transmission and they bathed the undercarriage in trans fluid and couldn't be bothered to clean up the mess which then caused a fight between me and my retarded landlord over the big O drips. The price Babbitt charged was very reasonable and Rich's can-do attitude has me making a list of tasks for a future appointment with them. Oh, and Babbitt Ford is in a really neat spacious historic building. You can watch from inside, through the large windows, as they work on your, and everyone else's cars. Traded SRX Cadillac in to purchase a 2017 Mustang. Salesperson was very nice and helpful. Several weeks later I began receiving phone calls from GM Financial, wanting to know why I had sent no payment on SRX Cadillac. Explained Cadillac had been traded in. GM Financial continued to call. Discovered Babbitt had paid off my husband's Escalade, instead of the SRX, which was sitting on their lot. Reed Ayers in the last week-Edit I live in Colorado, my 7.3 F250 truck recently broke down on 17 and I had it towed to Babbitt Ford as I figured the dealer would be the best equipped and knowledgable place to get it repaired. It is a decision I regret. While my service person, Bernie, was friendly that was were the good ended. The technician completely missed the diagnosis (I learned this later when my truck broke down AGAIN 100 miles down the road with the same symptoms) after I got it back. It was apparent that the mechanics simply read codes and NEVER tried to actually repair the truck. Wasted my time and money. I called Babbitt Ford from the side of I-40 to let them know that their diesel technician completely failed. The folks at Winslow Ford ended up spending LESS time (8 hours rather than the 4 days at Babbitt) and LESS money ($300 vs $600) and my truck is completely back to spec, except that the new part Babbitt installed has ruined the interior functions of my truck (no power door locks, radio, doors always read as ajar,....). So, I STILL have to take my truck to a dealer to FIX Babbitt's horrible "repair" job. NEVER take your diesel to Babbitt. If you have to, Winslow Ford has one of the best technicians and service departments I've ever worked with, even to the point they stayed 2 hours after closing to get me on the road. read more

BEWARE! UNETHICAL and SCAM ARTIST. I went to buy a truck on Dec 14th, drove 6 hours after Fritz Barnard assured there is no damage whatsoever. Within few minutes of inspection, I found out the truck's front bumper was damaged and incorrectly installed. The underneath damage was covered with fresh paint. Sales manager tried covering it up by saying they didn't know but later admitted everyone in his team knew and offered $500 off. Very SHADY sales team! Be very careful. Let me be clear: I am basing my review off the service department. They are PHENOMENAL. I own a 2014 focus and this is the only place I will take it for oil changes when I can't do it myself. Their works package, which also includes checking fluids, tires, battery, etc, is what I always get and it really is not an unreasonable price. My car is also under warranty still so I usually take it here for any issues that me and my dad can't fix ourselves. The service department is full of friendly and kind workers, and they usually work pretty quickly! Great place to go! read more

I am a college student at NAU and I went to drive my car and the battery light came on, I had to have my car jumpstarted by AAA and I drove it over to ford hoping they would help. 2 days later I got a call, they didn't have a battery for my Ford Edge. I was told it would be in the next morning and that I would get a call around noon to pick my car up. noon rolled around the next day and nothing. I gave it until the next morning and called and it was still not ready. I ended up ubering over and waiting to get my car. Did I mention how rude the lady was when I originally told them that I needed a new battery, she told me to hurry up and get to the point. I don't care how old you are and how young I am, she was disrespectful and worthless. I ended up paying 275 for a diagnostic fee. A DIAGNOSTIC FEE! like what?! in total it was 479 for a new battery, go anywhere but here! what happened to only charging the diagnostic if nothing is wrong. DO NOT GO HERE! I have called many times to speak to a manager only to be hung up on. Worst customer service ever! read more
